I think you need to double check that the brake lights come on when you set the parking brake. Or don't you set the brake when you get off the tractor? Also - there could be a short in the glow plug circuit. With the key in the ON position - but the tractor not started - how many amps are indicated on the ammeter?

Like I said, the Jinma keyswitch is crap. The wafers disintegrate internally, so - when they start to go - you're never quite sure what gets connected to what

With going direct to the starter and not being able to here more then a click it would be the solenoid that would be the problem if we knew for sure that it wasn't a dirty lead to the starter. It could be any wire that might need a little cleaning to perfect the circuit.

I agree that a 25hp machine is going to be taxed running a 6' cutter unless you really stay on top of things. It may be diferent in Arizona, but up here the first cut of the season would take everything a 40hp machine could put out at times.

As was stated, you may need some front weights or some sand in the FEL bucket to keep the nose safely weighted though.

You could also look into a flail-style mower for your machine, they are both lighter and require less ponys to run, but they are nmore spendy.

Jeff, we've been cutting under water for years, no problem, no overload either. Just use an old-style sicle-bar style hay mower, the reciprocating cutters don't care if they are above or below water and cut the weeds cleanly and dont leave a mulch floating behind you, just full-length stems which can easily be raked ashore.

FYI Wound up splitting tractor and replacing overruning clutch. Mating surfaces rounded over. You can see the clutch through the oil fill hole. Quite a job to slpit with loader and mower brackets. 2 days. Working like new again. Wil have to keep an eye on it. 1200 hrs and worn out. Not happy about that.

Unless someone here has also been shopping for the same size, same model as you it is kind of hard to give you an honest answer. I will say that you are probably in the regon of the most popular machines sold today. My only advise would be that all are good machines, some have features that may outstanding above the other two for you. I'll launch into my sermon on dealers again, Regardless of the color you buy, find a dealer you are comfortable with, check out their service department, they all will need it sooner or later. The dealer you are most comfortable with may not have the rock bottom price we all like to find, but a bargan price is soon forgotten whe a service issue pops up and the dealer is two states away. Enjoy which ever color you buy. Frank.

ok i am ready to drop the oil pan and inspect the oil pump and conecting rods.... i hate to ask so many stupid questions but here i go again... when inspecting the rods&crank for knock&slop do i need to unbolt the rod caps?? .. can i use a feeler guage to check for side to side slop??.. i have been told you can check a rod for kock by using a block of wood and a hammer by placing the block of wood on the rod cap and tapping it listening for a hollow sound .. .. .. does this work?? is there a easy way to check the mains??

It sounds like you are not fully engaging. It should push thru a detent. Try pushing it all the way.

If you are already doing this then it may need adjusting. You will have to check a manual.

I took a demo drive at the dealership about three weeks ago. You are 100% correct the steering is like a Rolls, not a Caddy and the ride is unbelivable, I don't think I've ever seen a Rolls let alone ride in one, but the folks of means seem to like them. I traded my HPX on the spot, the new one isn't here yet. In their accessories catalog it shows a neat little toolbox kinda like a pickup toolbox, I orederd one, it just looked kinda neat. Believe it or not the whole deal was the wife's idea, she could hardly steer the HPX. Deere has always taken care of any problems I've had, I'm sure they will find the source of the noise and make it right. Enjoy your day. Frank.

The TY395 engine does not have individual main bearing caps common to other engines, the block is cast in two halves, split along the cneter of the main bearings. I use a little non hardening permatex, very sparingly and do not allow any set time before assembly. Only put it around the exterior perimiter, not near the bearings themselves, need to be metal to metal here. In fact I don't think you will see much leakage at this point even if you omitted the sealer as it is well above the oil level. A paper gasket here would add to the main bearing clearance (as would any sealer that builds thickness)

Take a look at the grademaster. Bought one a few years ago to maintain my 3/4 mile gravel driveway. Works great. Usually wait a day or two after it rains and run up and down the driveway twice and end up with a perfectly smooth surface. Recommed the 6ft version for a normal width road. Should cost around $900.

I was thinking you'd only have to heat it enough to keep the temperature above dewpoint to avoid condensation. But at that temp I suppose you could still have moisture problems. Those who live in colder areas would know best.
