I'm trying to stay under 30K for machine for the property. The L39-48's are a bit more. Would the L4400DT w/kubota FEL and BH750 backhoe be a good set-up? Not to be used commercially. Thanks.

Operating at 150F is a little cool, but in my experience many diesels operate most efficiently around 80C (about 165F). I know the small Yanmars did't have water pumps, but I would think they've got thermostats at least. If so, perhaps yours is just stuck open.<br>

Well I don't think it is an internal problem if the radiator isn't down! Thru the years I've seen many a block with casting flaws but I don't think this is the problem.
Many times we change out the fluid two to three times before they clean up, I do believe you've got condensation in the block or a way for it to build up with where it is parked.

Broken; Thanks for the response, yes things were working out good till we dicovered that the "Small Stuff", in the former shop at the farm was just more than we ever imagined it would be. We had built a loft in the shed here at the house, it is already to the ceiling with lumber, so we built another loft along the opposite wall, it's full. There is still Stuff (good stuff) at the farm, all the junk and marginal has bee sold or hauled away I've got room for the 4310 and the Gator but no room for any of my impliments or another 2000 ft. of lumber, the wife's mower and her complete collection of every John Deere adult lawn toy they ever built, they arer sitting outside. Really was an easy sell to conmvince the Mrs. that another shed was needed to store things, I've got the same firm UBC that built our house and the shed to build a second shed. We havent made a firm decision yet as to the size, probably in the 40X60 range, but I've never saw anyone have to saw off one end of a shed and take it back bcause the shed was too big, there just isn't such a thing. But to the meat of your response, yes we are adding to the value of property that kids could squabble over someday, but the wife and I kind of have an agreement that soon as the firs of us are gone the one left is going to sell the rest of the farm (50 acres) and the acerage where we are now and either rent an appartment or maybe buy a condo, just to help prevent things like happened to your father in law. All our kids get along pretty well now, but as was said the strongest of familys can be torn apart over the almighty dollar. Frank.

Do you know if it blows the fuse when you....turn the key on ?, when you heat the glow plugs , when you turn to crank? or blows while cranking?

I have somehow misplaced the mower manual for my 1988 755 John Deere with a 160 60" belly mower. <br>

The old has to go! Spraying is the most effective way but before you get started I'd still recommend some soil tests. I do prefer the fertilizer be liquid and not applied with the drill if that is your method of seeding. The fertizer can be quite a rust maker if care is not taken.

The application can be done in several ways, to use a seeder I like the ground drive units over the pto drive, less moving parts is the winner here.

your right that the temperature protection stays the same unless you dilute it further.
The additive package is mostly recommended for diesel engines and it replaces the additives that wet sleeve engines need as well as lubricants for the water pump.

Most tractor dealers sell it as well as most stores with diesel supplies.

propilot, my guess would be these smaller CUTs aren't built as tough as the bigger CUTs. So they set the relief to release before something goes bad or really bad. Art can give you a more decisive answer cause he knows these machines.<br>

Will keep an eye out for you cub in eastern WA and N. Idaho, probably close to where you lost it. I cannot imagine why people do this to others. I know the reasons, just do not understand the lack of conscience that low lifes seem to have.

Hi I bought a YM1601. I looked and looked at tractors, while American is the most popular I opted for Japanese. There are a number of importers that sell these low mile products. the one I have has 550hrs. I paid 7k, came with loader, which was brand new, backblade, which was brand new and a tiller that was used. 3cyl 20hp. 4x4 is a really good machine. Depending on your location I know the dealer in Ohio, Ore. Idaho Cal. they all sell yanmar imported used tractors. question was it smoking out the blow by tube when it was running if it was has the yellow temp light been coming on if yes spray a little starting fluid and see if it will start if it does you probley need rings when the yellow light comes on its because its over heating and took the temper out of the rings and now has low compression

Most companies on the industrial units do limit their warrantees to one year. But that model is covered by the two year 1500 hour drivetrain warrantee. Get after them!!!!

I don't know a lot of the performance values of the deere of that model as it isnewer but I'd not even consider it unless it was a three range hydro. I've driven enough hydro's and the three range is so much better as I find the bulk of all work being done in the middle range and there is no shifting or range changes involved in operating the tractor.

Either the new pump didn't fix your issue, or it's a timing problem. Unlike gasoline engines where timing is a matter of adjusting spark delivery, on diesel engines you time the fuel delivery. This is done at the pump itself. So perhaps it's best for you to wait on the RK guy to catch up on his family duties.

I'm trying to decide between a jd 3203 and a Kubota L2800. I plan on getting it with a FEL. I have been qutoed 16k for the Kubota and 16-17k for the JD. How do these prices sound?<br>

I wonder what the mother-in-law would feed him the next holiday if she knew the way he speaks of a gift!

I'm not the type to think of buying a 1000 series tractor but for the most part the issues that there are with this model are easy to deal with. I have two friends that had to have them and they both had the same two problems and when fixed they have been trouble free since. They like them to the point they recommend them to others all the time.
