Yan; Glad to hear you are going to make the pitman yourself. The only advice I will offer is to keep it as close to the same size and profile as the original. It is tempting to make one that is larger in diamiter tnan the original to make it stronger. Don't do it, they usually had a slender center section for a reason, less weight to change directions many times a second just made it easier on bearings or whatever else held it in place. Kind of the same theory why hot rod engine builders always wanted the lightest possible connecting rods and pistons in their race engines. Sorry to have strayed from your question about pricing but several things will influence the price, for example what kind of shape are the sickle sections, the cutterbar guards, PTO drive componets in? Does it fit only an Allis model "C"? So without knowing any of those factors it is about impossible to give you a set in stone value. But asuming that the mower will be in a useable condition, and fit the buyers tractor I would guess that 2-400 dollars would'nt be out of line. Have a great evening. Frank.

No, not with the hoe attached, but will help without it, I never use the tractor without some type of counterbalance on the back.

Art thanks for help? Being relly new - I did re- latch to front of tractor. Is there a latch point on the mower on the front part near the hydraulic levers.

JB, I think you will find the folks on TP are a good bunch of guys and gals. At first glance we may seem to be a "cliquish bunch" but we really aren't. Sometimes a post just doesn't get any response due to a variety of reasons....maybe few have any experience on the topic, or perhaps those that do may be out of town or just busy.

Give TP the chance and I think you will find everyone just as friendly and helpful as folks down out the small-town coffee shop. I know I have certainly gotten my monies worth. I have really benefited from other's experiences while at the same time probably haven't added much myself....so I come out the winner! Hope you do too. :)

It is probably to late, maybe you ought to look at another brand. There are many out there, do you homework before you buy. I have a Yanmar, it works fine, no problems, work the b-jesus out of it and like a japanese timex it keeps on ticking, go find another one, if you get a replacement, sell it, do not start it, drive it, use it or anything other than sell it. Be sure to tell the person buying it is not the best in the mid-=west, but it will cut the lawn. Good luck, Confushush say, man with tractor will till till dawn. Stupid, since chinese tractors will not til.

Sounds like a very good price. I would talk to them about getting the 5' kub mid deck for maybe few more $ mine was 18.5 K with deck high amp alt 2 rear wheel weight extra blades/belt and delivery on bx23 in sept of 05 steel/fuel prices went up.

The Titan brand is Chinese junk. The company sends guys out in open pickup trucks loaded with compressors and generators and they all have the same story--"The boss wants me to sell these for cost and will throw in a __(your choice)___ if you buy the expensive one for $3000". All a bunch of bull. They use engines that look like Hondas but aren't. Take a look at the rough-looking castings of compressors and you'll see what I mean. The chrome plating isn't chrome. It's nickle which is thin and rusts in no time.

Has anyone had any problems with the "New Diesel" fuel in their tractors? <br>
I have a friend who has had starting problems with his 2005 F-250 Power Stroke. He also has a TC33 I sold hime 2 years ago but he is still running on the old formula, (off road fuel).<br>

No I did not and that is a good point. I did make new bearings for it so there should be min. of slop BUT, (if I am thinking about what you mean) that will come eventually.
I suppose a 14" would be the largest I should go with (if I can even find that)

My B5200 has two speeds, but in 22 years I have never used the higher speed setting. I asked the sales guy the question about this capability for the BX24 I just bought (which is only 540)and he asked me if I ever used the 825 speed on the B5200. I said no, and that was that.

It is an over-running clutch that is making the noise. I've never heard of it on start up but definitely on disengage. You might be on the way out if it is ratcheting on the way in.

Your left leg area is where the serial number on the tractor would be. The tag you have is the serial number for that housing not the tractor I believe. I never saw any way for those two tags to tell one from the other although some one with inside info more then dealers had might.
