I had a little trouble finding this gun.
Wouldn't Ya know Ruger would discontinue the rifle I want.
I finally tracked one down after calling Ruger and their Distributor and a local Dealer.

I have a FS110R Stihl Trimmer, Through a lapse of sanity I opted for a 2 string head, the cut the line to length kind, not the reel type.<br>

My problem, no matter which type line I use, I will lose 1 line almost immeadiately. I thought this would save me time but in fact is adding to my time on the job. <br>

I had some bad luck with my former trimmer and bump head.<br>
<br>
What head is everyone haveing good luck with?<br>
<br>
My trimming involves a variety of areas, including open fields, around foundations against hogwire fence around shrubs and trees.<br>
<br>
I do like the idea of the bumpheads that you poke the string into the holes and wind up the spool.<br>

My youngest son in law has proven to me the reason I must have a shop, for him to borrow tools! That also brings joy, joy let the joy bring the tools back home in good condition. :)

Congratulations on the move and just think off all the fun you will have as your find tools you forgot you had as you set back up. kt

On one of my Kubota's I was told don't worry about changing the hyd fluid for the same reason, great filter system. So I said okay, was not told when the filter came off the fluid came out, so I did change the hyd oil with a very quick drain. Don't know it works that way on all Kubota models. But it taught me it was much dryer to drain the fluid first.

Following up on Hardwood, I rather change my tractor than a pickup, easier access. As Hardwood said, I would change the fluid. kt

Murf the lines are CPVC---and there are now about 20 repairs made. Yup I should have drained the lines the right way; we use trailer mounted compresors to blow out sprinkler lines here sout' of Deeetroit.

Used mowers have to find the right people for a need. I normally try to cut the price in half of new if they are in a condition of 8 out of possible ten. Anything less, so goes the price.

I would say you would be alright. as you really only need a small amount of oil to the rockers. The pump it self should be sufficient to lubricate a small turbo. Just as long as you are out of warranty. Cause you will be if you add one.

That is true. If you can leave your mid mount deck on when you are rough cutting.especially the first time through an area you do not know. I have seen many hydro filters either punctured of torn off. Once that happens it only takes about 10 seconds until your hydraulic system is EMPTY. That could cause allot of damage.

I got a bid for a Wick polebarn 30'x50' with a 12' lean on one side, and 3"ceiling insulation for $32000. They are offering a 7% winter discount. I will use 40% of the building for ag/farm storage, 40% for business storage, and 20% for hobby/personal. The salesman said I can lease if for 5 years (thru Wells Fargo etc.) with an option to buy for a certain amount at the end($4000-$6000)and fully expense the lease payments. If I buy it conventionally, I would have to depreciate it at the normal 39 years. The lease would cost about 6-7%, but I am in the higher tax brackets, making it look attractive. However, one accountant's opinion is that if the lease is set up with a purchase agreement at the end, you cannot write-off the lease. A previously posted message said the lease only really works for metal framed barns, because they could be theoretically moved and resold. Should I lease, or buy outright?

FYI, Like budgets, sales quotas and sales predictions in the business world, "Dealer Invoice" can be any price the dealer feels like stating. There is generally no relation to MSRP, which is also a dreamed up number by the mfg.; "Factory Invoice" is what the dealer pays for the item. When I bought my Blue the dealer showed me the Factory Invoice (I was getting a Ford Motor Co. Employee Discount of which the dealer participated, so he was obligated to show me the actual price). The same dealer gave me an unoffical employee discount on a skid steer which didn't qualify for the official discount. He then showed me the FI, and added 6% which is what Ford was rebating him for my other sale.

Don't know if you have grades on your lawn but the middle range is where you will find a good speed that the smaller one's you mentioned can't mow at and more like the F-series. With loader work the middle range will also be your favorite with no range changes needed to cover some distances in a short period of time.

The center section of the tractor has a plate that has to be removed and the gearbox installed. It depends on your ability. Flat rate isn't very long but about 1/2 hour but to have a couple hours for the first time and some good tools it can be done.

For food plots we have customers using there tillers with good success. A lot does depend on what you are working with for soil but you should be in low range and about 2/3rds throttle. Your traction here is going to be key so ballasting should be considered. To plow with a loader on would add a fair amount of weight to the front to offset the plows weight and to overcome the down draft.
Tires have already been mentioned as to the best traction but a little secret that I found on sod that is wet is not to drive over it more then once. That way you have the advantage of the root struture to hold the soil from being the mud that it is.

I had tried the penetrating oil and loosened the nuts and the lever was still stuck. Went ahead and pulled the cover thinking the worst only to find everything fine except the rusted together washers on the outside! All this right after I had made the post. Fixed that and all is fine except waiting on a new gasket that was supposed to be here yesterday. Thank you for the help reply anyway!

Farmtrac 300DTC w/front end loader. bushhog & box blade.

No problems or issues with tractor, so far.

Dealer located in Baytown, Tx. Have had other dealings with them, always responsive to my needs.

Lots of grunt. would definitely buy one again.

bushhog is cheap economy series. already ripped a hole it it. (thats just me being hard on stuff)looking for a decent mid to heavy duty bushhog, any suggestions??

I just bought a used MF1240 with loader and Woods BH. It is a 99 and has 440 hrs! I will sadly be selling my Ford 1520 as I could not see paying the money to put a hoe on her. I love the Ford and I am a little nervous about the Massey. I have heard parts are expensive, hoping I dont need many. Any MF1240 owners have advice or problems??

Uh-huh. I'm getting the impression that you still have the original engine oil in that thing. Get rid of it - FAST. Reputable dealers who want satisfied (and return) customers, know enough to drain the stuff that the tractors were shipped with - and refill with some decent (read new & clean) multi-viscosity oil. This goes for the gear boxes, differentials, hydraulics, injection pump, and steering too.

It's a "New Chinese Tractor Owner's" mantra; drain, flush, refill. Repeat as required.
