you can increase the pump presure on the tractor,several theads on the issue however the 7 series hoe has its own releif valve settings and adjustments<br>
tech manual (tm1319) page 20-10-06 states that system pressure is only to be increased for TESTING with one washer part # (r56438). <br>
HOWEVER the hoes operating pressure is 1550 psi to 1800 psi and the tractor is around 2050 psi. As several past discusions you may be exceding design limits in reguards to hoses,actual design,case hardning of cylendar rods,bushings or pins.From my experence with my hoe is that left at factory settings you WILL NOT BREAK IT.<br>
I have the 419 loader, most operating manuals state periodadic maintenace is allways needed,proper torque of bolts,condition of bolts and treads are all items to be a part of operating equipement. if bolts loosen,there are only a couple of reasons/improper torque,improper assembly or inferrior materals ,yes bad bolts , can happen . You can inspect, clean ,(red loctite) AND RETORQUE THE BOLTS and if they loosen again REPLACE THEM.<br>
CALL THE DEALER it should be a warranty /safty issue !!!!

I own one of these tractors, and what Frank said about cold oil is true. Had the tractor not been run for a while? I changed out all fluids and filters at 300 hours, and I now have 335 hours on it. When I ran the tractor last week in 15 degree weather, you could tell for the first 10-15 minutes that the hydro fluid was cold, and the tractor made some strange noises. Find out when the last hydro fluid and filter change was done. My guess is that a person that would sell one of these tractors with so few hours on it probably didn't change the fluids...

Here's the problem - The pivot shaft on the right side is stripped out. Leaks alot of oil. Can not be tightened, even with an impact wrench. I am contemplating replacing this my self. It appears I would need to pull the ROPS, tire, brake to get to the axle housing. The pull rear axle and unbolt the housing. Need some good advice before I jump into this. Thanks Rick<br>

One of the things I noticed was that the forward pedal comes back fairly quickly to neutral (maybe a little too quick at times---perhaps I have to learn to not take my foot off quite so fast) while the reverse pedal takes its time (it seems like a long time when I really want to stop!) maybe 3 or maybe as much as 5 seconds.<br>

As a result of this Discussion Board, I quizzed the tractor dealer about the known problem of the HST pedals sticking. He was aware of the problem and said basically that it was a problem caused by a lack of lubrication and that they had fixed the problem, I understand by removing the pivot bracket (or something like that perhaps) and putting a grease zerk in it.<br>

I got the info from another NH which describes what to do about the problem and gives part numbers plus the serial numbers of certain tractors that the repairs are to be applied to. (It of course requires a new pivot bracket and spring.) The person didn't want to have the info posted with the name of the dealership mentioned. I will see if he will let me post the info without mentioning the source.<br>

In previous posts, I do not remember reading that only one pedal was sticking for sure, but I could be mistaken. Is it correct that the mod that NH has for this problem will have to be applied to this tractor after all? Any comments? Thanks.

I have 4th and 5th scvs on my 4310 to control top and tilt cylinders. The dealer installed them prior to purchase. They have them set up with a diverter so the loader stick does double duty, switch one way and it controls the loader and the other way for top and tilt. I believe this is the JD recommended way to do it.

It doesn't hurt anything to have it engaged while turning to any degree so long as there is a little tire slippage; at the very least you'll have reduced steerablity (it will want to go straight if the front have lost grip/traction). I've been in situations where I have had to turn and have it locked to get out of a bad spot. However, that said, it should be noted that locking and turning on pavement CAN hurt something (if only wearing the tires), and is not advisable.<br>

While the locking diff is good for certain conditions, the cutting brakes are also good for tight spots, like side-hilling or in a rut. <br>

Hi:

How about an old car hood with a couple holes punched in front with a chain/cable. Slide rock onto hood use snow or garden hose to make ice and pull up now with longer chain cable whatnot. my idea next spring/winter to get some boulders out of crick and up hill to yard.

I got this nice machine with the property but the front loader has been a challenge...My little Kubota B7100 HST-D came with an ARPS (Chromalloy-now-Amerequip)B219 loader and it leaks some. I hope to buy a manual or find info so I can know how to check the fluid and or add same. It's pump seems to run off the front PTO and there's a cap on top of the upright support that appears to be a vent. Where do i check/add the oil please ...anyone ? (thanks)

The gas station by me just started dispensing the ultra low sulfer diesel. I've always used power service in my diesel - is this enough - or should I be adding something like the Schaeffer product as well? (I've got a JD 4110 built in 2000).

My 7200 is hard to start when cold or after it has ran a long time. Another thing that help it start was pulling the comp and fuel lever. When the exhaust was clear drop bothj knobs at the same time.

Oliver; I think that will work just fine. I've heard of people plugging them in thru a timer so you don't have to go out in the cold to plug them in too. It may take a heavier duty timer than you plug a lamp into, I don't know much about that, better ask someone who knows more about it than I do. Yes, we have finnaly gotten out of our two week strech of below zero mornings too. Keep warm. Frank.

My perferred way is: bucket on ground (warm garage) jack under drawbar, drap over tires hook at back. Run a while and retighten.

Out doors drap over tires drive forward hook at back drive and retighten.

Kenneth, I think you will find it is Cryptococcal Meningitis.

It is contracted by inhaling the spores of the Crypotoccus Neoformans fungus, which is very common in both soil and bird droppings. Luckily it is not very common and usually does not affect anybody who has a healthy immune system.

It is however another very good reason to wear a dust mask when the situation warrants it.

Heating is only half of the equation, depending on where you live, temperature outside, etc.

You can heat the inside of building but if the temps outside are low enough you'll get condensation buildup in no time, especailly in all-steel building--on the lesser end wood-and-shingle.

Proper insulation will get you more for your heating dollar and comfort level.

The floor is a big contributor to condensation too so it can't forgotten too. Where I'm from we put down 2-4 inches of blue styrofoam under the entire footer and floor as our frost level is 42"

But all this is lost if your doors aren't insulated.

SG: Those torpedo or salamander heaters you spoke of are not good to use indoors as part of their heat product is exhausted as carbon monoxide, which you breathe.

Seriously though, the only time I have had a problem starting the Cummins was when the fuel gelled (forgot to put in Power6). Luckily I don't have that headache no mo'.

If the noise is a growling or laboring sound, could be drive line bind-up. The first thing I'd look at is tire inflation and secondly if the tires are at the rated diameter or more accurately proper circumference. If one or more tires is out of spec. drive line bind up will occur. It sounds much worse on hard surfaces, yet hardly existent on muddy surfaces where the tire(s) can slip alleviating bind up.

Huckmeat; Thanks for the report on the machine shop end of Grizzly. I've already made up my mind to buy the Jet/Powermatic sander not only from Murfs reply, but from finding some local Grizzly owners, all pretty negative, nuff said on the sander.In anticipation of retirement I started shopping for some machine shop equipment three or four years ago, I have very little machine shop experience, I always had the desire, but never the time. A good friend of mine about my age just retired as a machinist from a local mfg. co. He told me he would be glad to trade machine shop training for furniture shop training, that's his retirement dream, I was tickled pink with his offer. Anyway about three years ago I bought a new Jet GH 1340W lathe with a AKGHW taper attachment, I've never used it, being the friend was ofering his training service I decided to get a milling machine also. I studied the Grizzly G9901 9X42 then contacted a local tool and die company who deal in only Bridgeport machines who offered me a like sized rebuilt Bridgeport with a waranty with power feed for about the same money. So after all the info I think I'll go with the Bridgeport. Thanks again. Frank.

Got the spring sale flier from the local Deere dealer a couple days ago. There showing a new model Gator, the XUV. Supposed to have more power. 30 MPH top speed, and a different rear suspension. I might be temped to trade my HPX if they would have power steering on the new one. The steering on an HPX is kinda Gorilla type. Anybody seen one yet?
