Agric; Thanks for the info. Since No.3 son makes his living building and installing computers I've turned the task over to him. Today or tomorrow a wireless company is to show up at the house to check for a line of sight test for their service, if it passes then we're signed up if not they go home and forget about it. They offer a three year contract at 50.00 per month including taxes, etc. and no installaton fee for a three year contract. Since the No. 3 son is in the computer building business he said throw the Sunday paper in the trash, he can get them cheaper thru his suppliers, why did'nt he tell me that in the first place? I'll post how things work out. Have a big day. Frank.

I've got regular turf tires on my CASE DX25E (rear tires are filled (weighted)) and I plow with a 3-pt blade (FEL for the snow banks). I took the advice from this web site and stayed with the turf tires for the winter and they (you guys out there) were right. The turf's are like Zamboni tires, they never slip or slide in snow or on ice. I did learn though that with a blade, the effectiveness of clearing snow is proportional to your speed. I.E.: keep the momentum going and it works a charm, slow down and it becomes an anchor. Installed ROPS working lights are priceless. Thanks TP for all of the good advice, keep it coming.

I think the problem you encountered is called Murphy's Law. ;) Seems like when ever you think you have a procedure down pat or are in a big hurry, Murphy's Law dictates that something will go wrong. Happens to me all the time. No offense Murf! :)<br>

Thanks guys. We decided not to go with that house. They did some things that we'd have to undo. Tragically, the new place is only 1 acre so I don't know how long I'll be able to keep the tractor. Sigh...

Just back from being sick, I have read this entire post and it reminds me of the book Animal Farm. One thing nice about TP is truth as they see it whether it be Wing Wiper, Mark, Chief or whoever and the FREEDOM to express it without a bunch of rules or dispatchers (PIGS) regulating what grown men should be able to do on their own. Please Dennis this site is as much entertainment as informative. You cant have this much fun watching TV. Those guys added a big part to this Site I enjoyed reading the post whether about tractors or not. I had my round with WW and he is abusive and set in his ways we all have a little of that. The bottom line is I had fun. Like Will Rodgers I have not met anyone on TP that I didnt like, That Bob Adame, I think was his name, he was a tough pill to swallow. They should all come back and express their views and I will read them and be entertained.<br>

hi, i have a kubota b2150 tractor and a woods 750 backhoe, the guy that sold me the hoe said the frame was for a b2150, turns out he was wrong. i now have a problem trying to locate a frame for this setup, i was wondering if anyone out there may have one to sell? or maybe at least pictures so i can try and make one? someone please help thankyou

Be careful of car haulers. The intermediate stringers under the deck are not designed to handle the narrow tread of many CUTs. The concentrated loads closer to the center of the trailer can fail the stringers in bending. Most car haulers are designed with the wheel spread of car in mind, which doesn't impose much bending in the stringers.

Look under the deck. Many car haulers have 2x2 angle stringers between the main frame. These don't make good equipment haulers.

You can add additional circuits off the Power Beyond of you FEL valve. We add aftermarket rear remotes from the FEL PB for several uses, top and tilt, rear grapples, etc. Tou can add additional circuits, or use a splitter off the FEL valve. Adding circuits from the Power Beyond allows you to continue all Froont Loader functions while the rear remotes are operable. If you use a citcuit splitter, it's one or the other.

Your tractor has an open center system, so you need to make sure you get a splitter with an open center valve.

I have found that following the path of least resistance worked best for me. I have a very extensive ATV train system on our properties and have it best to just use the ATV's to push down the vegetation that is least developed and once down, the repeated trips over the trail tends to keep the vegetation down and the trail open. One of my hunt clubs used a tracked skid steer to open up some trails on a clear cut area that had grown up that worked out pretty good but once in the woods the vegetation is not that bad and the ATV can push things down OK. If I need to cut some sapplings that are a pain in the neck out of the way, I just bring a pair of loping shears and cut the sappling small enough to cut with the shears and bigger stuff I use a Stihl FS450K with a chisen tooth saw blade. Anything larger requires a chainsaw. I have a Stihl MS 192T that is real handy and small enough to put in the box on back of the ATV or just strap down. I am thinking that bring in heavy equipment into the forest is more likely to tear up more timber than the ATV trail is worth.

Something else to consider is that if you make the ATV trail too nice.........that is tantamount to ringing the dinner bell for every ATV rider and trespasser to come and enjoy your newly built trails.

$Terry: Lexan visually and generally speaking has a blueish or light grayish hue or tint to it, unlike the acrylics (Plexiglass is a brand) which are more clear. Acrylics generally are harder to the touch and harder to scratch (depending on the tool) or item used. Lexan tends to be more flexible and much softer but is easily scratched---even a clean finger wiped across it will scratch it. Each when burned have a certain odor. Polycarbonate is another "plexiglass"-type material. It degrades rapidly in sunlight quicker, and in some cases turns into powder when exposed to sunlight and/or heat. Poly scratches easily too, is hard to work with, and can be brittle. Poly is very hard to burn, unlike acrylics. Poly is used in welding helmets light shields for its resistance to weld spatter. It will accept a hot spatter without melting. Some watch face crystals and eyewear lenses are made of poly---and you'll know it--if you put alcohol or other solvent on them they will turn into a chalky mess. Kenny: If the AC guy did use a sheetmetal brake chances are he applied heat from a propane torch to the edge. Otherwise, it would have cracked or went back to it's original form of being flat. Some of the newer engineered vynils used for house trim do retain their shape when formed/bent. Some of the styrenes and expanded styrenes can be bent without heat but they tend to fracture and can break. ABS is a type of styrene and is very hard to bend with out it cracking. Mine has been torn for years. I keep it greased and the extra grease will catch dirt and crap.

The seals are there for people that tend to use extended service intervals.

You will probably never have a failure if you stay on top of your greasing. And you do not use high pressure to wash that area.

I do not think you can just buy a new rubber boot.

A used tractor dealer says he has a Mitsubishi MT2201D for sale that has 28 horsepower. <br>

I don't see any on the internet with that much horsepower. They seem to range from mostly 22 HP up to 26. <br>

Mike: I bought my 2003 Kubota B21 TLB this past summer of 2006 for the total price of $21,000 with 203 hrs from a contractor. They are out there but you have to be patient. As this was my 2nd TLB I had some insight as to what to look at. A fresh coat of paint can conceal a multitude of problems, beware. If possible, test run the equipment. Backhoe should be tight at all points with minimal wear. Check all hydraulics for leaks, and operation. Remember, when someone is selling this type of equipment there has to be a reason. Either they plum got all they could out of the equipment and are dumping it before they have to start making repairs or they just plain do not have any use for it. Smart momey, look for something with low hours, you want to start working the equipment not fixing it. If possible have someone go with you that is familiar with construction equipment. Hope this helps....
