I agree that the stability is increased over conventional tractors due to forward placement as long as the axle is in the perpendicular position to the tractor chassis, but once that axle turns to an almost parallel position when hard-over, there is very little front end lateral support.

Lesser stability at that point may be perception on my part but I was always careful with a fully loaded bucket. Not to beat this point to death but I would suggest a demo ride someplace where you can do some loader work.

I don't know that Kubota will ever keep their website up. They have never been into marketing they just enjoy building good reliable products. We don't normally sell to much as far as baggers in our rural area but I think that there should be an easier way or should I say a less time consuming way. Have you talked to your local dealer about it?

If you got one of the green and yellow AgraCats from Arkansas, they're just Jinmas with a funny paint job. Northern Tool and Hydraulics sells Jinmas right there in in the Twin Cities. They should have plenty of parts for 20hp, 25hp, 30hp, 40hp tractors on hand. See http://www.northerntool.com/retailstores/storelocations/minnesota.htm<br>

the gao between the head of the bolt and the face of the cover is to be ajusted to 17 thousands mine works fin but the bolts that press against the throw out bearing are to close and needed ajusted got mine now but wasn't easy, how many hours are on your tractor, I had to put in a new drive clutch at 450 the lining came apart wasmt to hard to spit the tractor sent my clutch to kay cee clutch works and rebuilt it and put it back in no problem cost me 60.00 with shipping and all

Lots of uses but the biggest one has been for placing 60+ cy of landscaping rock. I am on my second shoulder joint and the Dr has ordered me not to do any shoveling.

I finally got in touch with the oil company on this one. New York state passed a law in 2001 that requires any home heating system with antifreeze to have an RPZ installed (backflow preventer with vacuum break). The cost of the RPZ is $750. Replacement of the antifreeze was done in my mother's heating pipes in 1999 for $250. The oil company (which also services the furnace) thinks the antifreeze should be replaced again (they say it has become acidic) which will trigger the requirement to install the RPZ. In addition to the valve installation there are the labor costs, antifreeze costs, etc. Of course there will also be an annual inspection fee of $125 they will also charge my mother. <br>

The alternative is to flush the antifreeze out and replace with water since the garage area has now been converted to a heated room. The only concern is that the pipes are behind the sheetrock wall and next to the concrete outside wall. I think we might be willing to take the risk since things have been warmer lately.

Billy, a former co-worker used the paintball method. He ended up with a lot of multi-colored deer in the neighborhood. They still kept coming around. But of you have the equipment, it may be worth trying. At the least, it will make you feel better.

With our clay soil (northwest oregon) the R4 industrial tires do very poorly dry or wet. When dry the soil turns powdery and the tires spin easily, when wet the tires pack with mud and they're like driving on slicks. Check out my pics to see what packed R4s look like. I swapped the dealer with R1 Ag tires and am much better off traction wise, but they do damage turf so you won't want to drive them much on finished landscaping.

Wouldn't mind a clarification on something that Art had mentioned in this thread. My understanding of Art's statment is that mis-matching tread designs between front and back can cause problems in the drive-train. I'm certainly not experienced enough to debate that point, but my curiousity forces me to ask why?

Agressive Turfs in the BACK (ex. Titan 21.5L-16.1SL 10 SofTrac II TL ) These are large knob pretty aggressive for a tire refered to as Turf.
Regular Turfs up FRONT (ex. Titan 27x10.50x15-4 MULTI TRAC CS TL ) Worn pretty good on the edges!
Would like to replace the fronts with an R4 type tire to aid in traction in muddy areas, backs work pretty good now! Although I am not getting flats up front, if you are using the loader to its potential, the front 4ply tires are a little spongy. Are you saying that if I replace the front turfs with R4's that MATCH the overall circumference of the original tires it will cause problems??? If so, why would that be in your opinion?

Harvey; Thanks for your response, I met with the electrician yesterday, he thought the generator was a good idea, one reason being that the house and the shop will be on the same service. When I would be starting the heavier things in the shop that take lots of amps to get them rolling while other things are running I likely would dim the lights in the house and possibly damage some things in the house due to low voltage. Too many machines that start automaticly could kick in when using near peak voltage supply like the air compressor, air conditioner compressor, etc. His thought was that runing one or two machines and having the automatic things kick in would'nt be any problem, but like welding with the smoke exhaust running then the AC kicking in could end up costing me more than a generator. This fellow has done our wiring for years so I really trust his advice. The friend I spoke of earlier who owns the motor shop also sell generators, so soon as time permist I'll pay him a visit. I did do some research on the net and found some nice units, but would just like to buy locally, he has taken care of my motor needs for a long time. Thanks for your input. Frank.

Check to see if you have any oil flow out of the pump. Sounds like a key might have sheared because of a plugged filter.

Good info about going onto someones property down there. Im my neck of the woods, if I feel I am threatened, I would never give a rats behind what was legal or not, you finish the job and then figure out what to do about it! Round here, as long as there is no one with a video cam and the intruder does not talk anymore, you feared for you life, case closed, just dont do it with his back turned to you at 25 yards LOL.

I hobbled down the road yesterday to see which house this wicked smell was comin from. Yep, it was the one right next to my neighbor, he has a brand new firebox out there and for what ever reason (probably one you all mentioned not hot enough) it smells like crap. Many places north of here, when one is burning, it smells like a bit of heaven, hickory or oak,,,, Hmmm, smells like home!

Wow! Some real expert opinions here! Yes a buddy of mine rented a walk behind powered aerator. He said it did a fine job. It was a manhandler though. And of course inconvenient and pricey for one time use. KT, I had thought about a "cut off" set of tines for my tiller. I understand sometimes they sell special aerator tines for tillers but I haven't located any that would fit my Troy Bilt. That would be ideal since I haven't really used my tiller for much lately. Hardwood, your knowledge in this area is great. Thanks all for your comments!
