Ken, I think you are on the right track. I think this function should be anonymous (counts not displayed to members) and just a way for Dennis to be aware.

Harvey, I don't think opinions by people that use google vs experience bother me so much. How many people are there that have owned or worked on multiple tractors over a long period of time? I think that the dominating long rants is the problem.

After not being able to get a matching foursome set of tires for a large farm tractor years ago I found the outer dimensions of the desired tires and found some that were the same but a different tread depth. What an eye opener! IT took about one hour of operation for the first u-joint on the drive shaft to have the grease running out of it. I don't try to mix and match tires treads at all anymore.

Murf,
It appears that you set the "bucket angle" and then disconnect the hydraulics and connect the plow angle cylinders to the bucket angle ports on the loader valve, correct? Your loader valve would then operate the plow angle and the loader arms?

EW; We have a rather large Amish community north of us about 30 miles. I go up there about once a year to get Red Wing Shoes and stock up on home made jams and jellies. They are very particular and neat about their farmsteads. I've noticed the last few years that any new steel building has the siding horozontal, they must be frame buildings, it does make a lot of sense. Frank.

Bill, if the sound is an issue only when you are in the shop or outside working...they make a nice headset with radio built in. Sells for between $50 to about $100 depending on the brand and such. Cuts out their noise and give you something you may like. Sure did enjoy mine until my wife happened to use them.

I have a 2004 Tundra Access cab. The Goodrich's were only good for picking up road trash putting holes in my tires. A tire dealer happened to mention the Goodrich were bad for that. He said he had no idea why and did not know I had 3 tires to have such flats.

Not sure on the 2000, but mine per local Toyota dealership is very senstive to the tires. Air pressure and the whole line. Per him the specs on what will vibrate my pickup is much less than the tire industry specs (per two tire dealerships). I fought vibration for about 3 months with trips to two tire dealerships and one service station that sells tires to be told the tires are fine and the Toyota dealership told me real quick the tires you have are out of spec for that pickup. Wish I had bought Michelin. But those French...

I really would talk with the service dept and ask them on tires they recommend, wish I had.

Not being of small stature myself, I totally understand what you are saying. I can tell you that I and a passenger have been on the 450 together without issue (500+ lbs)

I have also used the 450 to tow a utility trailer loaded with over 1200lbs of barbed wire across my 40 acres. That low range really gives you grunt power.

I am sure there are many good machines out there but I just can't say enough good things about the 450 Grizzly.

Slotted rotors are supposed to help disipate heat better and help prevent warpage also if you want to pay and little more and going ot keep it for a while.

At first thought the action of the disk pushing dirt seems like what it will do, but that is not correct. Unless you have totally flat blades. All disk blades I am aware of are concave and even straight will lift dirt. At same time there are lots of tools sold for the very use that have solid spikes to "push" holes into the ground (there are some that have flat disk blades also). They sure don't remove any dirt. At same time I have no idea if they do or do not work.

If you are wanting to get it ready to plant grass seeds, a landscape rake can do a good job to "rough" up the lawn for overseeding.

You may have seen it but Michelin has a new tire design that does not use air. Makes me think of the old steel trator rims.<br>

Get a dog. Seriously, when we had a our dog, even though she was a house dog, we never had problems with deer in the garden. Now that the dog has been gone, deer are all over the yard. Good Luck!

$I had a quite similar problem, even going through the tractor with a tape measure measuring all sorts of things trying to get a handle on what the problem was. When I brought up the problem when taking the unit in for the 50 hour service, I mentioned it to the dealer. The dealer told me when picking it up that the FEL's attachment brackets were "off" relative to the ground. The solution that they did was to drill out the frame mounting holes where the FEL's brackets attach, or they drilled-out one of the brackets; can't remember which one they drilled. Anyway, that has since solved the problem. The bucket is nice and level now just a fraction of an inch above a concrete floor; it was sitting high on the left side (I think) about an inch with the right side touching.$ TZ25DA loader croocked

Been real strange here in eastern Iowa too, a neighbor chisel plowed an 80 acre field of cornstalks across the road on Friday then yestersay I stoped by another neighbor who was doing some major landscaping around a farmsite, never saw the soil work any nicer. North and west of us a bit they have had a little snow but the most we have had was a light dusting on Christmas morning that melted by noon. The county has'nt spent a dime yet but they're allways broke anyhow. Frank.

Its definitely illegal to place flyers in a mailbox. Attaching flyers to the outside of a mailbox is a question - definitely illegal if someone can argue that you have defaced or damaged the mailbox. Attaching flyers to a mailbox post is legal. Attached link cites some USPS rulings a few posts down the list.

I was curious about this one because my neighborhood went around and attached flyers to mailboxes a while back when they were fighting a large nursing home complex complete with shopping mall which was being considered up the road.

I saw one of these on e-Bay. It had a dumping bucket instead of a blade. The auction mentioned that dowm pressure is new so I assume that it likely had a winch to pull it up and (gravity) down. The pix shows it raising about 18" or so. It was a little over $1000, pricey for what it can't do... I mean for a about $3000 you could have a real loader on a bigger machine.<br>

The bucket dumps using a linear actuator on the side of it which would really be in the way if you were near a tree or fence.
