I hear ya! So many people say they hate snow. But i like it. My dogs don't track mud into the house when there is snow. With snow, the yard isn't a mush pit. With snow, it looks nice and pure outside not brown and dead. With snow, the spring will have water to grow the new plants and help the trees. With snow, we have a need for tractors and equipment to move the snow. with snow, we have the excuse to buy a nicer vehicle because it handles better in the snow. With snow, I can write my name outside.

I like snow.

Hi folks, looking at buying a 1992 JD 955 w/hydrostatic drive, FEL, front 2-stage blower, and rear blade. The guy selling it has never had a mower on it and has no clue if it is set up to use a MMM or not. I'm almost as clueless as the guy selling it. How do I tell if this tractor has the goods to run a mower (i.e lift and mid PTO)??????

Was it the control unit that you replaced or was it the glow plug relay switch? I'm having the same problem on my TC45D and I want to order the right part. Thank you.

Huck, this is a baseboard system and backflow preventer is already on it, but apparently needs to be replaced. I will check this week with the person who installed the system. He helped my folks get set up in their new home back then but the distance was too far for him to continue to service the system.

Man---I'll tell ya---I'm all for taking responsibility and accountable

(funny, being the oldest of 5 kids, growing up my dad always told me, "Jeffrey, YOU ARE responsible for THAT, and I'm holding you accountable!)

Anywho...it seems like all those invloved should be held liable for their crap. They just don't use their heads--shoot, they'll get paid anyway right or wrong.

If this happened in Michigan, Jeffrey Fieger (well known attorney) would be all over this.

I had to laugh the last time I was home---my former insurance agent was selling "indentity theft insurance". I have to wonder that if someone did steal our information (of course it's NOT stealing if it's PRINTED on the envelope). Is there a class action suit you could bring against the state? No one likes to sue their own state, but things generally don't change policy wise unless it goes to court AND there is money involved.

(I had a scare this past Thanksgiving---neighbor called to say my home was broken in to. From the sounds of it nothing was disturbed or taken (other than a broken window)--even jars of coins on the TV were still there. My credit union put the fear of God in me when they said that is the easiest way for thieves to steal your identity is by stealing your personal papers--not items)

Did you find out what your problem was? My 3ph and loader quit working, and I am going to tear it apart this weekend. I have read similar problems on this board, and would like to get all possible causes before I tear it down. Any info anybody can give will be appreciated. I have a e2304 with a koyker 150 loader.

I'll offer up our wishes for a happy, safe and prosperous New Year to all too. We finished 06 by returning from a trip to Phoenix where my wife and I both got sick and I managed to wreck my brothers Porsche Boxster so hopefully 07 will start better than 06 ended.

I don't have the chain deflectors on my bb60 but it has a slip clutch. Bought it new 2yrs. ago for $850 from the same dealer I bought my L3130GST. Dealer said it had some rust spots on it so he cut me a deal. Later researched and sure enough it costs around $900 plus at most dealers and $1100 to $1200 at some dealers. Unless you have some really heavy duty work you don't need a bb600. The bb60 is an awesome rotary cutter. Can't help you with the price on the bb600.

An update . . . I started this thread with the original question.

AFter talking to farmers in the area who are clearly more experienced than me (especially since I'm completely inexperienced), I decided to plow first to turn the fescue over, then disc. I've plowed the field and made one pass with the disc . . . Will try to disc several more times when it's dry enough this winter. Probably in April, when the cool season grasses and weeds start to grow, I'll either disc again or roto till at that time. I'm aiming for May 1st to plant the warm season grasses.

Nick, look at your formula again - where you said "Resistance in parallel is calculated as 1/RT=1/r1+1/r2+1/r3". Your error is in trying to solve for the inverse of R(Total). Solve for R(Total) only. If you had, you'd have come up with the same answer as I did with my version: R(parallel) = R1 × R2 x R3 divided by R1 + R2 + R3. My calculation is just another way to express RT=1/r1+1/r2+1/r3 without all those obviously confusing inverse numbers.<br>

Just a thought from my former tractor a 7274 had front axle rebuilt twice within 3 months- seems the factory/parts ctr sent 1/2 of the wrong parts even tho they fit and things turned (the authorized repair shop even didn't catch the error) until it barfed the second time. Left wheel bearing,diff internal pieces parts, gear -carrier(major wrong part). Parts may look and say interchangeable,be very wary and try to keep exact match parts. If the bearing keeps wearing -could spindle be bent? even slightly, or tire size correcet ? rim running true? wish ya the best.

Whirlpool's front loading washers are made in Europe. I was guessing as to the actual country. The first units that Whirlpool came out with were terrible. But they have gotten better. I remember the unit we had in the test lab was broken every week. It was one of the first ones made by Whirlpool. Maytag bought it and ran it to see how well it worked. They lost money with all the warranty repair visits to our lab!! But they have gotten better.

The important thing is your wife being happy. Without that... Well, better just not go there.

The Whirlpool front loading units are not Neptunes. The old classic Neptunes are marketed under the Maytag and Crosley brands. Maytag did come out with newer Neptunes (front loading with glass door and controls on the front). These were made by Samsung are complete garbage. Stay away from Samsung laundry units. Ungodly ridiculous warranty rates on those units. But Whirlpool was ditching the Samsung made units for re-badged Whirlpool units. But I can tell them apart, but I'm not sure how to tell you to tell them apart as I think Whirlpool was using the same model number. Doh!!

Ken, I could be mistaken but I seem to recall a website that described each of the filters in detail, including valves. "IF" I remember correctly, both the filters in question did not have valves. If I run across the website again I'll give it to you.
My neighbor was talking about bringing the filter back (Don't forget he got it for nothing). If he does and they determine what the problem was I'll be sure to post it. Steve
