Ann and Tony, you must be using non IE browsers, I ran it in Firefox and got the same thing. I found what was making unhappy and yo should be able to load that page now.

I had thought it would take a while to heat the wash pot but it seems you might be cooking your own goose and not need my help. I can toss in some Texas Pete if need be, that and a couple of onions should be sufficient. Or does there need to be nice shinny red apple gotten ready?

Seriously? If I had known work for it I'd like to bring down my Grove 40' telescopic aerial manlift (a little over 8100 lb., my F-600 7 yd. dump truck (about 8,000???) and the brush hog (400-500?). What size truck/trailer you got?

Thanks Art. The used one looked to be in great shape and was traded for an upgrade with a cab. But with the model closeout deals, the tax savings considerations, and the money I could make on investments (0% financing for 3 years), I decided to get a new one. The new one actually worked out to be less money.

I appreciate your valuable input though, as I know so many others do on a variety of subjects on which you comment.

One more note on water treatment systems: they generally don't tell you when they start pooping out. <br>

The only way to know that the ion exchange on the softener is working properly over time is to test the water with a kit like the one I linked to earlier.<br>

I would only spend the money if the ground water was real hard or if using an RO for drinking water.<br>

But with the RO..... I think you have to test it. It will give no indication that the is a tear in the membrane or that is is worn out and just passing the water through.<br>

I have a link below to a simple and effective tester. You just stick it in a glass of feed water and then stick it in a glass of treated water and read the difference.

Chief, it was easy to tell this year the guy raising hay on family land was not going to cut it when the Johnson grass grew to about 5 feet high. It took over most of the coastal bermuda in about 2 months.<br>

Pulling plows, have not used moldboards with my Kubota M6800 but based upon it's manual it sure seems like they rate it very low. (I think 2, 16 inch) I do know that tractor will pull with my brothers Massey which is larger and about 9 or 10 hp more. The soil type, depth, speed and how clean the land is all impact this. <br>

My father in laws Ford 601 pulled two 14 inch moldboards very well. A 43 hp Case would pull the same at depth deepter that the tractor would clear.<br>

KC, if you go looking for used moldboards try to find them with good parts. You can spend more to replace worn parts than you paid for the plows. Moldboards would do a better job of getting rid of the current plants I think than you will find with the disc as they will turn the crop under better. At least my experience.

Mine has been in the shop for four weeks now and they say it is normal except the close side on the 4n1 and they are having a hard time getting the parts. SO THEY SAY I AM ABOUT TO GIVE UP AND FIND ANOTHER DEALER. Mine does now work nearly as good as the old 4310 did and for some reason they seem to think it is normal. they do have another cab tractor with a loader on it and when i go to pick it up i am going to ask to try it out.

KT LOL, I am in the loop and YES, I know all about "wetlands" Thank you though for the warning! Technically, it would be considered (wetlands I think) but I am not building there, I am building on the ridge. I can cut any growth I want in the low area just can not mover around the soil IF it were considered "wetland" Since I am taxed as "Productive forrest" I am not technically wetland UNTIL I contact the dnr and they tell me I am? Follow me ya'll
My soil test came out great! I qualify for a Mound septic system! Better than the other option. All I needed for a convention was one more hole 75 foot away BUT I did not find one good to 36". I only had one good hole that deep, the others were good down to 24" with out any models.
I will take it!
So here we sit, wondering how I should proceed? I am leaning towards clearing the alders (that is a hint as to what is there) and letting it sit. Spraying the alders with round up version ok'd for wet area (pronto or something like that, can't remember the name) Spray it a few times to stop any new growth after cutting. See what happens? I can build the house and be happy watching the wildlife in a natural setting (no grass to cut) BUT After all the dust settles and inspectors leave, maybe I may decide to extend my back yard a bit and decorate it with a water feature LOL. The way it sits now, I have a real nice ridge that runs thru the 15 acre piece with a real nice low ridge of wet area's. This makes for a real pretty peice of land with many potentials. I will keep you all informed and thanks alot for the advice,.

I told my mom that Friday night. Her snow blower is pretty small and the wet snow was too much. I went home and returned with my my blower. Drove thru all that crap and finally got her driveway done. Here is the best part. She comes out with a $10 bill LMFAO. I said, what is that????" She said, "I dont want you to do all that work for nothin, I told her with the sternest look I could give my mom, " If you were going to pay for your snow to be romoved than I would rather you pay a PRO , i AM DOIN IT CAUSE YOUR MY MOM, i HAVE A JOB! She was not happy with me! Although she was very happy her drifts were knocked down and out of the way! BTW, The snow plow had the driveway 42" deep with snow a roughly 6 feet long/wide. That woulda killed me by hand shoveling!

I rented, and hauled my 8N on one 2 years ago. They asked what I was hauling it with and what kind of vehical but did not ask for a vin number. I think I told them, "It will be a smallish vehical but I was not sure"? They did not ask any more questions. I rented it from a regular
U-haul dealer place. The trailer pulled the 8N great with next to no problems. The front tire straprs held it perfect but I had a four point tie down anyways using the side frame and the hooks. Since then I have bought a trailer for the very reason you all were talkin about. I lied (bought what I was haulin) and I never do that! Sooner or later it will bite ya

Every now and then we get an order for some tractors to go over sea's. This place that I am talking about needs to assemble 40%(I think its 40 maybe its 60% though) in order for us to sell there. Kinda funny seeing our 240hp tractors heading out the door with no cab,tires etc.

Not a good first impression on quality control
