I would wonder although not worry over the thousand hours as I'm working with a three thousand hour unit now that has more of a rust problem more then running or operating. This tractor installed lawns with a blade on the front and a Harley on the rear during the summer and a commercial blower instead of the rake during the salty winter! It was the clean-up crew from the plow trucks and blew back the banks and cleaned up as well as some primary plowing. I like the link for a chuckle when ever I'm making a purchase. It seems to fit many items and car's especially but many other things fit. Just go to tractor buying guide!

1914 engine is part for part the same as a D950 Kubota engine used in B8200. Trans and rear diff are from the L235 Kubota! Kioti used to build Kubota tractors years ago! Get a shop manual from a Kubota D950, then get one for the Kioti and compare compare. All the same. Just some free advice from an ex Kioti and an ex Kubota dealer. As far as the engine goes, Kioti doesn't copy Kubota.....they just pay the Germans for the rights to build the same engine.

DK35 power steering cylinders are non rebuildable. Look at them and you will see they are welded together. Make every effort to get them replaced as soon as possible, as Kioti management is doing some very strange things lately. Get the warranty while you can.

What about the psi gauge are you sure that the reading is correct. That might be the best way to solve the problem. Clogged line, bad gauge, bad fitting.

Belarus thermostats don't even begin to open until 150 degrees, and the engines do run cool. Also, it's easy to get an air pocket in the hose that runs up to the heater core in the top of the cab. If there is any air at all, it won't heat.

air filter is tx10205. fuel filter is tx10314. power steering filter is tx17125. hydraulic filter is 900154. oil filter is 739540. these are from the farmtrac dealer manual.

Oil pressure is externally adjusted on the Belarus tractors. I can't remember exactly where it is located on the 250. Also, these came out with metric pressure guages. It should never run below 1.5kg/sqcm which is 20lbs psi. They also have a centrifical oil filter that nobody ever cleans. Get a shop manual or owners manual and clean the filter properly and see what happens. Very tough engine! I sold over 100 and only had one engine failure, birds nest in cooling fins around cylinders, couldn't cool. Call 1-800-356-2336 and ask for Ray, he was, is the service rep.

Quick update on the problem. I topped up the transmission but it the backhoe still didn't work. And, mysteriously to me, the frontloader started acting punky. It raised and dumped fine but was difficult to lower. I called the dealer's service dept -- they were very helpful -- and the manager walked me through a series of checks. Nothing worked until he said, detach and reattach all the quick connects. That did it. We're back in business.

I am actual taking a lot of this tractor apart to repaint and fix some things wrong with it. I think your right, it probably is a two stage clutch. The guy I bought it from disconnected the wires from the clutch solinoid, nutral safety switch I think. I am not sure I like that.

If any of you mentioned this I missed it: the way the shops sharpen chains does vary. Some do a much better job than others. So if you use a shop, and are not pleased you may be with another one. Try talking with who does the sharpening. You will probably know before they do the work if you will be pleased.

I do wonder if the Harbor Freight model holds it angles. Will be looking for those post. The hand file method is old for me. The dremel tool does just like someone said, the stone wears so fast your teeth vary.

With a Bobcat they are tippy when back grading down a hill. Not all skid steers are that way and for the most part they have a very low center of gravity. A box scraper on the back of a compact will assist in a lot of grading chores better then just a bucket. It depends on how much work you have to do and if you enjoy it.

It could be worth a phone call to check your state, some have a warranty more than you might think. Workmanship may not be warrantied since it was not done for you, but then it may. Had an engine head repaired by a shop who did not complete their job. Dropped a valve. They had to replace the engine under our state law of workmanship.
