Frank don't quote me but I'm pretty sure the dealer changed the trans filter and purged the system (which I had done every 5-7000 on my other Rams), and removed the rear axle cover and replaced the seal. Some oil chnage palces just suck it out of the filler hole which leaved the sludge. I did the math just on the materials and would have been a little over half the cost. Then add my time for labor and running around trying to dispose of the fluids. Well worth it to me.

Sorry, but we are talking about the most simplistic of engines...a one cylinder gasoline engine! Got spark...good, got fuel...good, got compression...good. Fresh gas, good... pull, swich/valves "on", presto...running engine...the Wright Bothers would be proud of you!!! Your BIO says "all things mechanical"! (Friendly Canadian losing at this point in frustration!).

Absolutely, I flush the brake fluid on our vehicles every 30k miles. The last thing I want is internal brake parts pitting and corroding due to moisture absorbtion. It's even more worrisome with today's extra brake system complexity. When I was doing brakes for a living some of the calipers, wheel cylinders and master cylinders I saw were corroded to the point of being scary.

I live next to a rather large corn/bean field with ~ a 25' right of way. It is my neighbors, but he does not mow the right of way so when I am done with my 3 acre yard I raise up the deck to 4" on my 2230 and it easily mows the 2' and higher weeds. I even mow at the same speed as I do on my yard. I am amazed at what the little BX will "eat".

Tony, is it an optical illusion or is the cab on the 33DA top heavy? All that glass and steel has to add a significant amount of weight---what, about 600-700lb.?

I wouldn't feel safe in any kind of side-hill over few degrees.

I have the Front loader and the Woods RB72 grader blade on a Kubota B7610, and I have used this combination when we have an early snow or I have been too lazy to get my butt out in the garage to put the blower on ;). <br>

I have a 1000 foot drive and for up to 3 inches this is sorta Ok. But if deeper not good at all, wet forget it.<br>

Put that blower on with the grader on the back, awesome combination. Slush = grader blade, dress up =grader blade, bulk snow front blower.<br>

If my drive was only 150 I would use the loader and grader blade, at least you will have a little more play time, 1000 feet no go on that combo.

EW,

With the added lift capacity of the new curved boom loader NH beefed up the bellhousings on the new models to handle the added stresses of the new curved boom loader.

This is why NH and your dealer has advised you not to use the curved boom loader on your 02 TC33D. If you remove the alignment pin the curve boom loader will fit on your unit but, you are running a high risk of a major failure that could reach as much as $8000 (None Warranty)

If you�re still interested in using a 14/15 LA loader on your unit then I would highly suggest that you try an upgrade the bellhousing.

Can a NH curved arm loader be safely used on an 02 TC33D

Ron, worse yet the smart carbs allow you virtually no adjustments but they do a great job.

Art, Just thought of it! I have been looking for the past 10 yrs for a copy of a video I borrowed from my Stihl dealer about 15 years ago.(back when we had a servicing dealer). It was a seminar on logging tecniques by Soren<br>
Eriksen sp. I learned more from that 1/2 hr video than in the rest of my 40 yrs of cutting trees and firewood.I can't remember if he used Stihl or Husky. anyway, He started (The Game of Logging) Not the Timbersports, but the Training. Have you ever seen or heard of the video. Ron

This Black Cherry was originally Garage dried (basement of house) and I bought it and brought it home. I have it under my Deck and it has aborbed alot of moisture, so what you say may well be the case. The moisture may have brought more of the resin to the surface.

SG8NUC; No I've never dried hickory. I have air dried lots of oak, (red and white), some walnut and quite a bit of soft maple with good results.
MURF; Soft maple never was considered much of a furniture wood till I kind of inhereited a semi load of soft maple logs. We started using it for cabinet frames, drawer sides, etc.. My son made an experimental piece of furniture, put a clear finish on it and we were pretty impressed, next thing we knew a lady came along saw it and orderd a set of kitchen cabinets out of it. it is an easy wood to work with, don't splinter in the shaper like red oak but you need to keep it moving thru a saw or shaper as it will show a burn mark as bad a cherry. Enough rambling out of me. Frank.
