EW,

With the added lift capacity of the new curved boom loader NH beefed up the bellhousings on the new models to handle the added stresses of the new curved boom loader.

This is why NH and your dealer has advised you not to use the curved boom loader on your 02 TC33D. If you remove the alignment pin the curve boom loader will fit on your unit but, you are running a high risk of a major failure that could reach as much as $8000 (None Warranty)

If you�re still interested in using a 14/15 LA loader on your unit then I would highly suggest that you try an upgrade the bellhousing.

Can a NH curved arm loader be safely used on an 02 TC33D

Ron, worse yet the smart carbs allow you virtually no adjustments but they do a great job.

Art, Just thought of it! I have been looking for the past 10 yrs for a copy of a video I borrowed from my Stihl dealer about 15 years ago.(back when we had a servicing dealer). It was a seminar on logging tecniques by Soren<br>
Eriksen sp. I learned more from that 1/2 hr video than in the rest of my 40 yrs of cutting trees and firewood.I can't remember if he used Stihl or Husky. anyway, He started (The Game of Logging) Not the Timbersports, but the Training. Have you ever seen or heard of the video. Ron

Ken the old home page used to look like the link below.

The new Tractorpoint summary page (click on "discussion" on the menu has fewer colors. When Onace looked at it I did not have the Blue headers on the page so it was very colorless.

I was just trying to make it more readable. What do you think?

This Black Cherry was originally Garage dried (basement of house) and I bought it and brought it home. I have it under my Deck and it has aborbed alot of moisture, so what you say may well be the case. The moisture may have brought more of the resin to the surface.

SG8NUC; No I've never dried hickory. I have air dried lots of oak, (red and white), some walnut and quite a bit of soft maple with good results.
MURF; Soft maple never was considered much of a furniture wood till I kind of inhereited a semi load of soft maple logs. We started using it for cabinet frames, drawer sides, etc.. My son made an experimental piece of furniture, put a clear finish on it and we were pretty impressed, next thing we knew a lady came along saw it and orderd a set of kitchen cabinets out of it. it is an easy wood to work with, don't splinter in the shaper like red oak but you need to keep it moving thru a saw or shaper as it will show a burn mark as bad a cherry. Enough rambling out of me. Frank.

I have had the 6' drive over MMM for 3 years now and I LOVE IT!!! I have 10 acres and mow probably 4 of it. After mowing it looks like a golf course. Only problem I have had was a swing-arm (I do not have the exact name of the part :-)) weld broke at the weld point on both sides on the deck itself. Fortunately it was covered by the warranty. The dealer told me it was becasue I was mowing at high speeds and my property gets a little bumpy in some spots. I guess it was too much side to side movement and tourque on the welds.

There are probably people out there that might have bought the Massey over the Kubota even spending the extra money for one reason or another. But for the money difference just look at the two tractor spec's for the chores that you have as well as potential resale and what is the best value to you. We don't know what you have to do! Tell us and then we could find the value for you.

I always install 134. From the brand new to the 20 year old. Why? Because that is what the book called for. Will the 90w hurt probably not but in the winter when the oil is below freezing you are going to lose allot of drive power until the oil warms up. You figure the front dif lasted 20 years in your machine using the 134 why change now.

I pour the chain bar oil out into a 1 quart oil container (currently using an old plastic Mobile 1 oil bottle) or if it gets really cold I use a one quart 80W90 gear oil plastic squeeze bottle. 1 quart lasts my O-66 about 4 to 6 tanks of gas and it is not so much to lug around on the ATV.

Dave's right, you will never keep the wires dry, so don't even waste your time trying.

Use the Sced. 40 conduit, it's cheap insurance compared to digging it up when a rock or tree root breaks the line.

There is often very little price difference to up grade one size, if you do, buy a spool of light rope to put in with the wiring, if you ever decide to add another wire, you will be *very* glad you have that wire there to pull the new cable through. If you do put a second wire in, be sure to pull a piece of heavy twine through with it, you can then use the twine to pull the rope back in place for next time.

I had just brought a Root bucket Grapple from WR Long. It's great. It's their RBG-60. I've only had it for two weeks now. I use it to pick up branches and logs. The only thing it would be nice if it could rip out stumps. Oh it will do small stumps about 5 inches in diameter.
