Be careful what you hook to a JD power beyond circut. There is no internal relief valve in the tractor for the power beyond, this is direct off the pump so the machine you plug into the power beyond MUST have a high pressure relief. Nasty things have happened like split pump housings because a cylinder came to the end of the stroke and the lever did'nt kick back to center. Fluids don't compress so they find their own way out. Frank.

Recently purchased a reconditioned Hinomoto N189D tractor with front-end loader in Texas. There were no manuals or other documentation to speak of. Does anyone know where I might be able to get manuals (owner's, parts, repair, etc.)?<br>
Also where might I be able to get a ROPS for this tractor? There appear to be bolts available for attachment and I have seen a few photos where a ROPS is mounted on a few similar Hinomoto N-type tractors.<br>
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a used Miller Maxstar 140 off of E-Bay. Small transformer-less box that does DC stick and TIG. It can run 120v or 240v. Not sure how big you want to weld, it can only do 140 amp low duty cycle. Not very fancy, no solenoid gas control or variable TIG, but good for my needs. Check out E-Bay

Wow! With all this banter about damn yankees one could hardly believe this is "friendly conversation" hahaha (hmm... didn't WE win the war?---but who's counting...YOU guys ARE ha!). I just got my 4WD front axle rebuilt with new gears. It came back from the service shop with 90W gear lube installed. With my old axle I had been following the owners manual and kept it filled with a Ford 134 equivalent(hydro). Which oil do I use? 90W makes more sense to me, just want a long life on an expensive repair.

Quick attach for the bucket is cheaper then aftermarket. I haven't checked the books to see if they might cross but I doubt it. The 723 has the compound linkage on the bucket which means better roll back as well as dump angles.

I feel that weighted rear tires are more or less a permanent approach for increased traction. I have fluid filled tires on one tractor that has a backhoe on it 100% of the time.

With a backhoe you need all the weight you can get on the stabilizers. The only other alternative in that situation is to have rear wheel weights.

If you are mowing lawns on flat terrain, the less the tractor weight the better. Anytime you attach the FEL and plan to use it to its capabilities, suggest mounting a rear blade as I do or rear weights.

Being the rear tires are larger in diameter than the front, rolling resistant is not as critical as in the front. A tractor with FEL and small narrow front tires will do as earthworks has mention and not float. The larger the tire, the less rolling resistance it has. A wide front tire gives more floatation. Both of these factors help and no doubt that a big wide front tire is the best. Us Yankees know that a two wheel drive pickup will go further in the snow with large narrow tires. If the tractor does not have enough weight or ballast it will spin on the top surface of the sand.

If you are mowing lawn on uneven terrain, some rear weight may be good if you are driving up severe inclines. Weight on the front will cause the tires to scuff the lawn when making sharp turns. Likewise if mowing in 4WD and making sharp turns, the front tires will scuff.

When I plow, I'm in 4WD and want optimum traction. I have the FEL on front to provide traction on the front and have weights for the rear tires. If you have a big enough tractor with lots of weight you don't need 4WD.

If you are pulling a trailer on hilly terrain and making sharp turns you want weight front and back so the pullee don't become the puller. Speed Kills!

L3830 - Operate the PTO without someone in the seat.

1. Set the parking brake.

2. Tilt the seat forward and rest on the the steering wheel.

3. Be careful when engaging the PTO.

Mine is the least costly and easy so hope it is the cause...a piece of wire picked up and on one of the blades. This can be hard to see if a rusty wire and wrapped around the spindle.

OK, I went out and bought a gallon ($65) of Sikkens Cetol Log and Siding. The local dealer told me that several properties of their popular Cetol 1 and Cetol 23+ have been combined and improved upon, allowing Cetol Log & Siding to perform as well or better...and with only 2 coats. I've only put one coat on so far...the weather has not been cooperative, but it doesn't have the gloss on the doors that I was hoping for. Time will tell if it lasts...that's the most important to me.

There is much to the weight as many tractors have weighed to much for their every day tasks which causes extra fuel to be consumed. There are many differences in the engines themselves in design which often give an advantage for a certain type of performance. I think everyone here likes to help and it makes for a great place to learn for everyone.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm looking at the TC30 vs Kioti CK30 and will tell you what I've found.

The TC30 MSRP is 10,500 (FWD/gear/without tires) and 12,070(HST sans tires) The AG tires MSRP 1,000, R4's 1,300 ... NH 7308 FEL 4,100.

The prices listed by Corriher are decent being slightly less than MSRP, (and Yes, I've been there and Tarheel Tractor in Lenoir) ...

Reverse engineering the MSRP using the 2WD MSRP of 9,000. Applying the 40% wholesale rule on the 1,500 price difference I'd guess the dealer price on the TC30 FWD/gear units is roughly 10k, the FWD/HST 10,800.

The NH7308 loader Corriher adds 3,400. Other market brands run less than 3-grand.

The Kioti CK30 gear on the other hand, I have not seen any MSRP. However I've been told it's on par with the NH TC31D/34D which is 15,2/16,8.

I'm leaning toward the Kioti ...lowball Kioti price was 12,300 FWD/gear/R4's sans loader. (15,2 FWD/gear/KL130 FEL).
(14,100 CK30 HST) The Kioti shuttle drive operates smoothly on the couple I've driven.

The Kioti tractor looks like a good unit. However I've read the Kioti loaders have cracking problems so I'd go with a Woods loader should I go this route, They run roughly 3,500.

One thing to keep in mind is, tractor dealers aren't making a killing like car dealers, those guys may only sell ten tractors a year ... and I don't advocate over-paying, but I also don't wanna' beat a guy up over a couple hundred bucks,

last mo.I bought a new L4630 w/72"heavy duty Gearmore box,top n tilt w/ extra hyd.tilt ram on other side of box and hyd.rippers.Front loader of course,hydrostat trans.---For$35,000.00.To me its worth every penny,I do finish grading for a living,and this thing is soo nice to operate, smooth and comfortable.Im almost feeling guilty cause im having fun at work again.

Why didn't you order one as wide as your 460 bucket, bmocad? If youy use it for a brush rake, wouldn't it be a disadvantage for your rake swath to be narrower than your tires?
