I just bought a CK20HST w/6'Buehler finish mower for $12,600. Wanting to know if that was a good price?

Just an FYI for those who have the 4010, 4100, 4110, 4115 these machines use a group 51 series battery - which is an easy replacment using an Optima sealed battery. dosent matter if its the "R" version or not(you would just turn the battery around). The newer 2305,2320,2520 use the 22NF (why they did that who knows). There is a chance the Group 51 will fit (from Optima). I will be experimenting with this I think this weekend on a 2520 - will post on results when finished.

Our CCM 72" MR190 works fine on 25-70 HP tractors. Our MR190 actually weights more than the King Kutter. We have hundreds of the MR190 tillers out there in the field on 28-32 HP tractors,mostly Kubota's & JD tractors.
A Harley rake is a totally different implement than a tiller so it's hard to compare the two.

Art it was the NH tractor not the skid steer that had what I thought was the starter problem. I agree the skid steers would be a problem to figure out with all the wiring conditions. I did have seat switch issue which turned out to be the actual wire connector and not the switch itself. But I made lemonade from lemons and used a remote swicth that jumps the seat switch and that becomes a theft deterernt as the instrument panel will light up but won't start.

Juneau, you've actually got that backwards, most of the sidewalk fleet are smaller than my toy, err, I mean *tool*, tractor at home. A front-mounted blade is only good for one thing, IMHO, cleaning a 42" wide sidewalk on a *very* regular basis. In a big storm, which to us is anything more than about 6" in 24 hours, the sidewalks *must* be plowed before no more than 2" of snow accumulates. Customers rules.

You are right about way out in front though. Yes there is several ways to bring it in closer, but it wouldn't work as well. By having it that far out front it allows the plow to work as it is supposed to on a truck, it's own weight cleans the pavement but it can still float over obstacles. It also allows me to push snow (like pushing over piles and drifts) whithout driving the machine up into the snowbank or pile. I can push snow that is 6'+ ahead of the front wheels.

What we do to help get the rings to reseat is to be sure the tractor is getting up to temperature. Then we load or overload it with the dyno for a couple of hours to bring everything to it's best. We've seen 100 horsepower tractors gain 20% horsepower when they get reseated. We've seen some that had been run to long with the cold running and with four or five hours on the dyno they still wouldn't come back. Your tractor has a syphon cooling system and often the owners didn't get them up to temp to break-in properly.

Bought a BX2200. Traded it for B7800 due to needing to do more front loader work. Bought BX1500 and use it for mowing over 2 acres hill side. Best of bunch for mowing. Also use 3pt for some uses. Traction is the issue for me with any of them. BX1500 never bogs in grass and I don't mow as often as I should and for mowing traction has always been there by sometimes engaging 4 wheel drive instead of just front drive.

It depends on what you use the tractor for the most. If you are mowing the lawn then you would want to stay light. The more the tractor weighs the more you can dig, the weight will also hinder the power as well as fuel economy, it also will wear drive line components faster. Front tires loaded on a four wheel drive, I wouldn't as it will also wear the steering components faster.

Two thousand bucks for four kinda small tires and rims is a lot of jack. I've been following this as it's went along and have been wondering why you would give up R4's for turfs. I've used both. Unless you have some unusual special circumstance, I can't think of anytime including snow, mud, front yard work or whatever I got into that I wanted the turfs back. Just my thoughts. Frank.

Could be a bad ground or even a connector on the back of the guage not connected, if the guage is not part of the instrument panel.

I have that plow on my 4115. It works very well.

The only issue I have is it could be a few inches wider on these larger tractors. Under certain snow conditions when it is angled to the extreme, it will spill a little snow in the rear tire track.

Other than that it is fine.

Just a warning to all- after the pond thing I opened the oil plug and clear fluid drain out- first. The engine was at idle when. I was lucky. Just had to change out all fluids. I told the tractor folks what happened (15yrs ago) & the laughed. They said I was the 6th. one. One went into a sewage pond. Five yrs ago a guy went into a pond. He kicked off both rubber boots before his life ended down under out of site.

EW - thanks for you opinion. The Keifer looks to have a better paint job. I keep going back to the ramps and think I'll go in that direction as it is the safest for loading heavier, short wheel-base equipment like my tractor and a skid steer.

I'll take a closer look at the Keifer. The PJ had most of the harness in conduit, but anytime the conduit moved, the wire was exposed. I don't know how common that is. I'll just have to check again and make a decision.

The input has me reconsidering my needs. I don't anticipate needing the mid mount pto for front end attachments. What would be the primary consideration differences between a B2630 and L2800.

I do not think it is hydraulic, it is manual linkage into the clutch.
