Hank, Well, no change.
SOMEtimes it starts fine ... other times the "CNS" ... Clunk No Start ... happens. BUT as above -- (on 4-26) -- it will ALWAYS start if I use my "bypass switch".

It MIGHT actually be affected by the battery voltage. The "nominal voltage" is 12v ... but you can have a "surface charge" on a battery right after charging (and CHARGE is usually 13.5 or better) that might be as high as 12.8 or 13. Mine will almost always RE-start without the CNS if I've been running it, and then shut it off for a few minutes. The higher "surface charge" might be enough -- just as your charger is -- to overcome the high resistance problem in the protective relay crap ... if you have the same prob as mine does.

Mine will blow the little fuse if I HOLD the key for more than about 6 to 7 seconds in the CNS condition -- like it's trying to pull the soleniod in (the clunk) but not far enough to hit the electrical contacts. BUT, if it doesn't crank, I know it right away and let the key up.

Sometimes it'll crank on the 2nd or 3rd try -- but fuse OK UNLESS I hold the key.

Some day I MIGHT get new PTO and NEUT switches and try those -- but I'm used to my bypass switch.

The dealer is the most important IMO. Kubota makes a great tractor but if I had the choice of buying orange from the local Kubota guy or anything else I'd be driving anything else.

Unless you are running a 10 KW generator you won't notice the difference in horsepower between the two.

IMO, the tank shouldn't shake at all to begin with--either it's a bad design, parts are missing or the engine has a bad miss--or all of the above. I'd look to see if you can either isolate the tank mounting by using a resilent rubber (sheeting, pieces of tire sidewall rubber) or thick EPDM foam weatherstrip tape from Home Depot, or the other choice is to hard-mount it to the machine and let it vibrate at the same frequency as the engine. You might also need to increase RPM's to help smooth out the engine. Lugging the engine and low RPM's will cause vibration too. that All my late-model equipment and vehicles have diesels that are more efficient at higher RPM's.

You might also look for loose engine mounts if the engine sits in between the frame rails instead of being the rails itself.

Take a couple of feet of rubber tubing, immerse it in coolant drained from the rad, then tightly cap one end of it with your thumb, put the open end at the bottom of the overflow container, and the other end down below the overflow container and in or over the coolant drain bucket.

When you release your thumb from the end all but a few drops will be siphoned out into the bucket.

With your applications an alternative would be a larger older tractor like a Ford 5000 or a IH 544. The tractors above 50 hp tend to be cheaper as they are too heavy for the lawn. You have plenty of traction with a larger tractor and don't necessarily need the 4X. You can even find the larger 4x tractors with plenty of life left at more reasonable prices than the CUT.

Ken that is a rare one with mechanical lift! We haven't had a request for one like that in years other then from a antique tractor lover about 15 years ago. If you want it could be converted as those drills were nearly the same from a 510,5100,5300 just some different decals and a little difference in the sheet metal for cosmetics. Not knowing exactly what paint was used you might have some luck with a soft rubbing compound to clean the plastic but otherwise do physical checks of your levels as the seed will build up in the corners and edges giving you a false reading of what is being fed to the seed cups.

Some added advice to you all, BACK UP, you NEVER back up too often only NOT ENOUGH.

I have three Hard Drives in my system, but most people should have a minium of two. Use the Primary for Programs and data and the second as backup of all data and Windows with Updates.

My wheel barrel has double front wheels, and theres always one tire low or pulled away from the rim , can be a real pain to get air back into, they dont have tubes. There about 4 years old and still dont show any signs of dry rot, so I wont replace them till needed.
