Yup it's the same type. To prevent freezing I loaded it up with Liquid Wrench, reinstalled the "hat" cover, and sprayed everything again. It took three yars to get to tis point without lube so we'll see how long it takes this time with lube. Also, I think that not using the tilt function regularly contributed to it siezing too.

Like Peters says, if it is low on oil and is jumping I'd stay away from it because that usually means the pump is, or will be soon, wiped out and could be very costly to replace or rebuild. If the fluid level is topped off with fresh oil it could still be a problem lifting anything that has a weight to it.

Patrick, I am currently having the same issue with the FWD, however my lever does go in and I even opened up the case to see it engage. It doesnt just operate in 4WD, I still have to try the cleaning trick and relube. Is there a issue with one of the gears that I might be able to check.

When I bought the farm here in AL I also got an old rotary cutter. Although heavy it was beat. The 3pt connections had be rewelded a number of times and the deck was bent. I had no idea what brand it was or if I could get parts. It went to the local scrap dealer.
As Art said if it was a brand rotary I might have tried to rebuild it as then I would have known where the part where available. As it was just a no-name orphan it would have taken as much time to find the parts than to make the repairs.

You also stated that there were 8,099,760 in the south and 384,000 slave owners. My calculation are more like 394,000 but enough said about that. 384,000/8,099760 is what percentage? I calculate near 5%. As only men went to war and in that day and age men held most of the wealth you could say near 10 percent of the men owned slaves. The number of people in the south does not represent house holds. If we assume the average house hold at the time was 5 then we have 2 million people in house holds with slaves and this is close to the stats I found gave of 33%. This is much different than 1%.
In the state in question MS, there were 450,000 slaves and 300,000 non slaves. There were about 31,000 slave holders. Again assume household averages of 5 you have 155,000 which is similar to the data I provide of 50%. Actually the number of families was 63,015.
I might be just the majority of the young men going to war were not the head of their own households and called to go to war, but the household I grew up in is slave based one. The society in which I live was slave dependent. They were living off the profit of a slave based economy. Like I stated in a county like Winston AL there was debate and rejection of the concept that they should go to war for the slaveholders.

If you look at the 1860 census from MS you had 750,000 people. Last census we had 2.85 million, therefore the population has only increased 4 times in 140 years. As the world population has increase about 4X in the last 50 years and the US population is 11 times since 1860 we can only assume that a lot of people have moved from MS to other territories, including Canada in the last 140 years. If Mississippians are migrating to other areas of North America for 140 years, why shouldn't someone migrate to MS? I don't know some of this might be an inferiority complex. I think I have been posed the question in both ways. Your not welcome and how could you be so stupid as to move here.

I have purchased a vgc used, Befco T30-142 Tiller (42",540rpm,shearpin,cat1-3ph,w/side shift)for my B6200D Kubota. A new drive shaft came with the tiller. There are extension arms added for the 3ph pin mountings to adapt & extend the tiller away from whatever tractor it was used on. I will test mount the tiller to see if the hitch adapter extensions will be needed for clearance for my setup, if not, then I will not use them since they could cause added strain on the 3ph & tractor. The drive shaft may need to be modified or replaced to suit the length required, so I checked the Befco web site and found answers to all of the questions posted in this forum.<br>

I find that with resonable operation that people have no trouble although tubing would be best. I've had garden tractors down to three and four pounds of air, ag tractor tires at five and six being tubeless but to be sure that they don't blow the bead a tube would be best. A tire should run with a flat foot print on level ground or checking on a driveway after driving on dirt you can tell from the print. The manufacturers give the max for the people who load these tractors and work them all day carring heavy or all the load the tractor can. The perfect weight and pressure is set by the owner and what they are going to do and are most often far less then the maximum pressure.

I'd just leave it alone with the A/Gs.
They work fine for me and I even mow the yard with the FEL & BH attached.
Why go to the expense and aggravation of R4s that turn to racing slicks in mud and why put up with the hassle of changing tires twice a year for no good reason?

I have just purchased a used T30-142 Befco "Till-Rite" Tiller and now I need to find an Operator/Maintenance Manual for it. I have downloaded the parts/assembly manual from the Befco site and have requested the operator manual from Befco but have not heard from them. Anyone have any ideas where to find a manual for this unit?

I am not up on the F250's but it sure does sound like a speed sensor either on the transmission or at the wheels. In many applications called the VSSB or vehicle speed sensor buffer which is typically mounted on the transmission. The VSSB typically is configured to send a gathered and conbined speed data signal to the speedometer. Might be worth taking a look in this area.
