Pioneer vs. Flat Face Connectors: Therein lies the quandry. Now that you mention it I have had oil spray from the pioneers on the toy. I don't like Pioneers because they do leak--my toy's leak connected or not---and they're not ven made by NH! I naturally assumed EVERYONE uses the flat faced connectors which are used on the equipment I use and seen on farm equipment. You might want to consider using them. The long barrel shape has the internal valve it which like I said prevents leakage. It is very easy to disconnect them too since the pressurized oil behind the internal valve helps push the other side out, and as it pushes it out there are a series of o-rings and a plunger of sorts that seal up everything.

Did you realize that Arlington Cemetery was Gen Robert E Lee�s farm or plantation which ever term you prefer? Isn�t it ironic for that to be one of the most respected pieces of ground of this great nation and a place where many of it�s great people are laid to rest? But when you study the man, he was a great man himself. <br>

I got it started after a couple hours' work tracing. Three things were found:

1. A fuse that visually looked good turned out to be open. Test fuses electrically not visually!

2. One of the two individual wires from the transmission Neutral Switch was not fully seated in the mating socket wire. It was intermittent when lightly handled.

3. One switch was found to be marginally adjusted so sometimes it closed, and sometimes it wouldalmost, but not quite close. Easily adjusted.

That sounds about where my 4310 runs when bushhogging lite brush on a 85 degree day. Never seen it get really hot even when working hard but we don't have that many hot days.

Thermostat in 4310 did nt help

I know it was a different configuration then anything I'd seen and it was at a toll booth and the talk on the CB at the time was that they only ran the west end of the country. It sure was a lot lower then the 2070 International that I was running a the time.

You can pull it all day long in the off or up position! It won't start but will turn over. The next position is the run and the bottom is choke.

I like the idea of cops being 30 years or older. Preferably with army experience as a commanding officer. With exemplary character as evidenced by multiple references. And no women. And give them six figures to start. Then we won't have to complaing about asshole cops. One bad one ruins the reputation for 99 good ones.

Broad rule of thumb, but turbos are usually a good thing for a 4 stroke cycle diesel. The increased air flow (scavenging) under load helps cool the combustion chamber, result in more complete combustion and sweeps the combustion products out better. Agree that as a power adder to small gasoline engines, they tend to shorten life. But pay attention to cautions about allowing engine a minute or two to warm up and a few minutes to cool down, good for any diesel, but especially to cool the turbo.

All the major manufacturers build several different mdels to cover the needs of different jobs. It is important to buy a brand that is prominate in the market place as when they are twenty years old and they break a part and it's no longer available it's a sad day! There are different things that give some longevity to the life of a cutter or it turns into additional maintence later.

The middle range at about 2/3rd's to 3/4 throttle will get you started and you can fine tune ground speed and throttle from there to your preference.
