A neighbour of mine up at the lake had an ant problem, his land is moist and sandy and had a lot of dead trees lying around.

I had a real chuckle over his "environmentally responsible" cure.

He bought a couple of rolls of that clear shipping tape, and ranit around the foundation of his cabin, sticky side out. He tacked it in place with a staple gun, overlapping the edges and a few widths side by side.

When an ant tries to cross it it gets stuck in place and can't go any farther. When a particular area got covered he just cut it out and replaced it with some new pieces. After whole summer it was still sticky.

Thanks guys for everything...

I got offered a deal on the NH TZ25DA which the others can't touch. In fact is it $1400 less than the other NH dealer for tractor MMM, FEL, F Snowblower.

It is also from what I consider the best dealer that I have come across, and I have good words on their service.

Then you throw in 0% for 4 years financing, I just can't justify Kabota (hated the dealer), or Massey...

You all have been very helpful, I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but soon.

Ken,

Hoses premade sure do cost less than same hose made at local shops. Of course there are more options with those made in the local shops as they can install an end not normally used and odd lengths. Might save a fitting for you.

You may find the metal you want for the floor at a heating and air conditioning shop. A guage with gal. coating should work fine.

A hose one inch short is a real heart break and can be costly. As you pointed out, those turns and curves add up.

With some other nations this might make sense. For example for North Korea it would make sense for the UN to call on China, but for Isreal the US has the most pull, I guess.

What rims do you currently have on the tractor. Are you looking for tires or tires and rims? It might be difficult to find tires and the rims for that tractor used unless you have something to trade. Some one posted a site for rims and tires a while back. You many be able to find the post in the advance search option. Many be DRankin will spot the post and repost his source.

I used to be an avid bicycle rider until my knee went out. Here in Michigan we have the DELMAC ride which starts just before Labor day leaving Lansing and goes to Mackinaw. The route cuts left at Gaylord and heads over to Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petoskey and Harbor Springs, then goes through Cross Village. It is an awesome trip with lots of hills. The day before Labor day you ride across the Mackinac bridge.<br>

I did it several times in the mid 70's and rode with a rear rack and soft shell cooler to hold 12 packs. Most of the other riders got mad at me and my friends since we would stay up til about 4am drinking beer then head out about 6am to do a 100 mile ride. The rest were pansies.<br>

I used to have spandex riding shorts, Dieto Pietro riding shoes but that was about 80 lbs. ago and 5" in waist size. I still have my Masserati bicycle though.<br>

The inventor of the rotary cutter is the Bush Hog. I think most of the commercial cutters for highways use these in this area. I have never seen a Deere cutter in this area or in my travels for this application. Rhino is well constructed as is Woods.
You need to be looking at a medium or heavy duty unit.
The value leader in a heavy unit would be King Kutter.

I picked up a couple new filters today to get ready to change , both my hydraulic and hydrostat original filters once my TC 30 New Holland tractor gets 50 hrs on it .(2005) ,<br>
The smaller filter for the hydrostat is black . The bigger filter for the Hydraulis is white .<br>
A while back I was told the smaller white US made filters were no good in cold weather because they leaked (40 or lower degrees ?)<br>
Has anyone installed the bigger filter that is white in color not black and had any problems ???<br>
Dealer says only the smaller hydrostat filter had problems and they no longer sell them .

Or use one of the leads to power a relay so that you can turn the lights off and on rather than only on with the ignition switch.<br>

Note the black wire with the red stripe comming out of the loom under the seat. This is one of the two ignition-hot leads in that loom. I then spliced into the tail light lead for the switch side of the relay.<br>

And, don't forget a fuse.

more important than a few dollars is a good dealer. Make sure the dealer has good after the deal service check around to see if he is for real. Does he service his own units. Does he deliver and pick up. Does he have a service dept. with mechnics. What can he do for your business. You will need parts and service.
