Sooo... Did you close the deal on the 4115?

As far as I know, the only viable option for a PHD is the three point. It's the only place you can get an unobstructed shot at a drive shaft to run the thing.

I never had much luck with my PHD and sold it, but I have really strange soils..... loose beach type sand over concrete-like hard-pan.

I would bet someone with clay soil can offer some insight for you. Right off hand I would think that a properly sharpened auger bit would work its way though the soil you describe with no extra down pressure.

Congrats on your deal. Clearing and setting up for landscapeing is a job, but a lot of fun and you can get a great deal of satisfaction from the results. Just an idea, you may want to draw out the area in order to get a feel for what you may need for landscaping after building the house. Trees are money, more money when they are standing.

Anyone have an idea on what the going rate for the large (1000 lb?) round bails of "horse hay" will go for this year??

The guy who cuts my property is bailing it now (only one cut per year) and he will pay me per bail. At this point I don't know if the stuff is worth $10 or $100 per bail. Can anyone help me so I don't get ripped?

uhhhh-----pay an insider? I dunno, seems like that kind of info is only available to a limited number of those in-the-know. That said, if you are/were a Ford employee, you can get---if the dealer participates---dealer cost. I saved $3500 on my New Holland that way. The dealer gets to keep a 6% holdback of the retail price so he still makes money just like a car dealer selling Ford products.

Truth be told (this coming from a CUT consumer and businessman myself) it's not fair or right for you to try to get dealer cost--they have to make a profit in order to stay in business to service your sale so that you can come back and buy a new one later...and so the circle goes.

Yeah, you're right, I checked the specs and the SS does make a noticeable length change. As I'm new to tractors I wouldn't need the added distraction of "tricky" steering while getting used to and working the loader. I'll have to find out what difference it makes in price. As far as the cab goes, I'll house the tractor in the shop, but it's the winter time I'm wondering about. In the past I've worn a snow mobile suit for snow removal. I'll have quite a bit more snow to move at this new place. I would imagine the visibility is better without a cab. And, there are after market cabs quite a bit cheaper (not necessarily better) than the Simms.

Demco's induction tank is five gallons. Depending on the make of your sprayer they may have an exact fit. The deluxe out fit retails for 849.00 It is a Hypro cleanload, they also have a gravity unit,climbing standard.

Hate to admit my father in law and his Dad got the boat and motor like that. Have no idea now on the motor but the boat was a tiny inflatable. This was years before Al Gore came up with internet.

I had to sell the house and for that the septic had to pass the inspection which it didn't. Once it fails you can't sell the house, so you have no choice but to do what is necessary to remediate. In my case it meant installing a new septic. The sepctic fiasco cost me around $16K. In my township there are a lot of older homes that have been selling and needed to replace their septic systems.

There definitely needs to be protection for ground water, but, in my case, the ground water tests passed with flying colors so there's wasn't a contamination problem, just an "overzealous inspector/specsheet problem".

We've been a husqvarna dealer for twenty years and a Stihl dealer for twenty five. Have people that love both and seen switches from one to the other and vise versa. To operate them I perfer the pro saws for a good day of cutting do to the better porting for more power and the lighter weight for the horsepower. We only sell Stihl chain for replacement on either saw although the Husky originals are Oregon. I've cut firewood to heat the house with big saws five cubic inch and bigger with 18" and 24" bars and I've cut for the need of removal of debris from wood storms or for hours cutting snowmobile trails with 3 cubic inch saws and smaller. Knowing both sides of the counter my personal saw for cutting what ever I need to cut is currently an older model 034 Stihl with a 16" bar for wood and a 20" for brushing. Just not able to part with it as I haven't seen any better of a saw in the past ten years to replace it.

I need a new 14 or 16 chain saw

There is one thing I learned the hard way regardless of what method you use to fill your equipment tank...put the cap where you will remember to replace it. Like the seat of the equipment. Found out I was not the only person that had that same issue.

While I'm thinking about it: do you have any online source of aftermarket mower blades for the 60" deck? The OEM replacement p/n I have is 759-3809. Several Cub dealers in our area tell me that p/n has been discontinued. I found one Cub dealer 60mi from here who said "it's still a good #, and has them for approx $15 ea.

I can get most blades from aftermarket sources online for approx $8 ea. But, no one so far seems to have a blade for the Cub 759-3809 p/n.

Are you a 3205 owner? If so, I'd appreciate being able to keep you in my database for future questions. My email is rbig at bellsouth dot net.

Update: I got the pump back and found the internal scoring was really not that bad. I then talked to my local JD dealer and found that the bushings were no longer available, which have to be replaced to prevent further wear. Took it to a machine shop and he thinks he'll be able to find/make something to work.

Still not have find an equivalent air filter for SD1800 but still searching.

May be check with outer and inner diameter dimension and height dimesion : outer dia is 190 mm, inner dia is 110 mm and height is 70 mm.
