the first one i noticed because it was leaking all over. the second one i noticed just because i check on it once in a while now. there are many small spots all over it but there are 2 bigger ones that kinda look like a windshield hit by something. splintered in all directions. and 2 other ones in lines but not straight lines. they look like they wanted to splinter

Is the ground you're using this PHD in the typical limestone laden soil of the Texas hill country? Any roots to contend with?

Ken,

I have seen the electric motor pump combo used on dump trailers built around here with a battery in boat battery box also mounted on the trailer for power source. I have seen those units I think in Northern Tools Catalog but may be off on it being their Catalog.

Why would you have to have enough farm work to justify it? It it not road rated?

I have a 3520 cab tractor and the hotter it gets the better it cools. I was using it a few days ago and it was about 98 here in NC and i started down a hill and water ran on the windshield.........i thought my drain hose was stopped up and when i got out to look the outside of the roof was frosted. That is cool. Buy u one it is aslo very nice when you are putting out chemicals.

OK, haven't been on here for a while, but you always get good info from you regulars! Anyone familiar with Trex decking? I'm putting one around a pool, and using the Trex designer railing as well. I need to build a gate, and have no clue on how to use the Trex components to do so...

Yeah, I won't be polishing it every weekend or spend any free time reading up on the pros and cons of polymer finishes, but enough attention to keep it well maintained and nice appearance. Just enough so that the folks who have a keen eye for crops, stock and machinery don't bad-mouth me at the Cenex store.

Dave, if you do it yourself, Use brass rods to pull out the
old seals and maybe help in installing the new ones. I worked on Hyd' in Air Force and it kept us from scarring
the rods. We used brass welding rods and made hooks and spoons with them.

well, I'll look at it and see if it seems worth it, my NH dealer quoted me $3000 for the 914A deck and brackets. I can get the older deck for 500, and probably the remainder of the tractor brackets for I'm guessing 300 - 400, so if I can make it work, that's a big difference in cost. I really apprecitate your input

Yoop - I'm too cheap to spend the money on watering the lawn. I have 3 acres of lawn. Water isn't cheap. I was going to install a rain barrel system and collect water off the shop roof. But I held off due to my job uncertainty.

But I use the tractor to keepo the weeds cut short. They seem to grow ok in the hot dry conditions! If I keep it mowed, the weeds at least make it look green from the road!

It really makes a difference having good people, we have 2 TSC stores in town, the North store is fantastic but you would almost have to pay me to go to our South store. At least they are aware of it and working to get it straightened out.

OK, my problem has returned. I did some trouble shooting and found I have pressure to the input of the valve (left side fitting going into trans) pulled top check valve cleaned still no 3 point. My question is what do I look for next? Do I pull top plate and check the inner valve? If so what do I look for?

Depending on what you want it for, you might have more use out of a pulverizer than a drag harrow.

They are really simple to make yourself and can be used for a bunch of stuff other than finishing off a seedbed.

Have a look at YooperPete's picture # 8 for the one he made. Basically all you need is a few feet of heavy I-beam, and some 5/8" square stock or 1/2" flat bar.
