The one thing we have found over the years is that nothing gets done habitually, unless it is *easy* to do.

If removing the wheels, or jacking the machine up a few feet onto timbers is the anti-theft method, chances are it will not get done regularly.

We also discovered that minor stuff, spray-painting, slashing, and bashing, usually happens on weeknights, not weekends. The police tell us the same thing, on the weekends kids find activities and friends to keep them amused, it's when they get bored on a weeknight they cause trouble more often than not.

Other than lowering the ROPS, nothing is required for locking the machine in a container.

Besides, our containers make a heck of a racket when they are tampered with, so nobody hangs around long, or comes back for a second visit either, too much attention!!

I used a 601 Workmaster which is newer than the N's. If you buy the tractor be sure you install an over running PTO clutch, it really could save your life.

In my part of the world the price of those tractors has been dropping. As a dealer pointed out to me and the age has been pointed out already, those who grew up with this tractor are not doing much buying any more. This seems to hold true with most collectors.

HELP! My pride and joy has been stolen from me. 1998 Cub 7305 with a woods 1009 loader & 408 backhoe stolen from Seattle, WA on 7/1/06. The loader has the 476 decal over it, so black loader with yellow decal. If anyone sees something like this, please call me or respond....reward for safe return! Thanks! <br>

Thanks guys, tomorrow I will clean all the terminals and give it a charge and then check the voltage at the red wire. The tractor usually sits inside, but this summer do to some other projects it has been sitting outside and it has collected some hornets nest and possibly mice. I will let you know how I make out.

Addiction? What addiction? Just because it's 8:40 pm on July 4th and the kid is asleep and I'm online doesn't mean I'm an addict... or does it?

But wherelse can you relate one of your surviving "being stupid" stories and have everyone else relate and try to top it? Fortunately, I did good this weekend and only have the blister from grabbing the hot tray with the tater tots out of the oven and not having the hot pad properly located. No grill burns or hair removed by the grill.

I even got to use the tractor to mow. Been 6 weeks due to lack of rain.

I love this bar... I mean board.

The pump assy. lists for $440 on the JD parts website BUT........ both the manual steering and power steering type tractor hyd. pump are listed as obsolete parts. This means that Deere no longer has them in production BUT....... a Deere dealer may have the pump on the shelf somewhere in the USA. (my thoughts are this is unlikely at best, but you can have you Deere dealer attempt to search for the part nation wide) Have you considered taking the pump to a hydraulics shop and requesting them to evaluate and if possible rebuild and repair it?

I am looking for a Compact tractor. The 2320 looks like the perfect replacement for the 4115. The hydraulic pump has low GPM rating. Both the 4115 and the 2520 have pumps over 5 GPM, but the 2320 has a pump rated at 3.4 GPM. I am concerned that it may be underpowered to run a loader and backhow effeciently. The 2305 has a pump at 2.9 and the time to raise the bucket is an aweful 5.9 secs. So I am worried about the 2320.<br>

RE SWANV13 mess. How did they quote you a backhoe on the Deere 2305? Deere doesn't make one for that tractor...yet. I am looking for a 4115....if I cant find one, perhaps a 2320 or 2520. Kirby

not postive for that cyl but excavator cyls the same size we rebuild are a lot higher than that smaller dozer cyl we do are also more than that

You can lower the tractors center of gravity by down-sizing the tires and wheels a bit. Wheel weights will help also.

It doesn't work at all. Just falls to the ground. The lever moves back and forth and I can lift the arms of the 3 pt up by hand. No leaking anywhere, nothing is bend. I was pulling a large pine tree and I heard a loud noise. I thought part of the tree broke. Today I took all the sheet metal off down to the case. I would rather not dig into the case. I have a detailed blowout of the parts but that's it. My plan is to take the case apart and look for a broken pin, bolt, or something obvious. And pray for no rain since I'm doing it in the driveway...

i have a ck25 and the filter bowl has cracked for the second time in 6 months. has anyone else had this happen? they are plastic and i was wondering if a glass one would be better and if so are they even available?

A DAH!!!! I just thought of something!!!. We are assumeing that they have a need to re-sell this mattress!
The damm thing may only cost them (like) $25. OR SO TO ACTUALLY MAKE IT AND MAYBE ANOUTHER $25 to ship it from CHINA. So all in all they are probably only out $50 if they scrap the whole thing! (LOL)

I had the #52 loader and I think the lift was around 800. I don't know about the #62 & 70 loaders or about after market loaders.
