Sounds strange to me but there's a lot I don't know. To get that much torque you'd probably need a 1" drive impact wrench. How big is the cylinder?

I really appreciate all your comments and insights. I'm beginning to wonder what this guy is thinking. I've gotten some pricing feedback from NH and JD dealers in the area and it does appear he is asking near new prices for everything. His price list reads a little odd. It may be that the 24k price he is asking includes all the 3 point attachments he lists with separate prices. I won't be able to know for sure until Monday but at least no big hurry right now.
A little off topic, but I'm already blessing this site, I can tell I'll be able to get the best advice and ideas here. I guess part of the reward for those that help will be photos I post of "guess how I managed to do this?" goof-ups.

The wainscot is MDF tongue in groove. We have it in other areas of the house and it's nice. It takes paint very well and is dimensionally stable. The basement is air conditioned so there is no humidity problem. I do recommend painting it on all sides before installation though. We had some MDF baseboard ruined by cat piss (damn cats) and it would have held up much better if it were painted prior to installation.

Its just phenominal what we (and the others also) are putting into the tractors these days. We make changes on the fly. The most recent one was something I feel they should of done a year ago. What really happened was enough customers wanted it so it got done. I re-worked about 200 plastic inserts inside the cab so they would be able to install a port for anouther mp3 player. Me thinks the next option will be a video game controller (for a video game) while the tractors are guiding themselves.

Witnessing two of these tractor rides in one month makes me wonder, did the old Farmalls (M's, H's, etc) have rear wheel fenders when new? If so, why do most of the ones I see have no fenders? Was there some reason that farmers took them off? It seems like it would really increase the risk of injury. Most of the other old tractor makes seem to have theirs on still.

I had one incident when I was driving back to Warsaw, IN on US 30 after a late night concert in Chicago. Theer is one town where the speed limit drops to a 30 mph. I was so zoned/tired I blew right through the change when my radar detector when full tilt. Man that woke me up in a hurry. Cop didn't pull me over, but rode my butt all the way out of town. I'm glad he did that as it woke me up so I could drive the rest of the way safely. Whew!

My wife and I like snow. My dad and I used to go snowmobiling in the moutains when we lived in Idaho. So we could get 18+" in one shot. Rare but could and did happen.

I don't mind clearing snow now that I have the right equipment (CUT). It's when you have to shovel every friggin' inch of snow that sucks. Now snow is an excuse to get on the tractor. I just dress for the conditions which usually includes a helmet to keep the wind out of my face and off my head. Heck, I usually come in with a sweaty head.

Awhile back, I had been looking for jobs in Buffalo, NY due to their annual snow fall. We like snow and we don't mind the cold. Wife is from Fargo and I lived 10 miles from Canada in Minnesota. So going weeks with temps below 0 F is no big deal. You dress for it.

As for dressing for cold, that's one problem in Iowa. Parking lots are far away and they demand you wear slacks. So yeah you freeze your jewels off when walking in. We didn't wear slacks up in northern Minnesota and the parking lots weren't as far away. So you didn't freeze the jewels. You dress for the weather. We also waore warm coats, not the fashion jokes you see around here in winter.

Murf it was the other member of the quartet's quip that leaped to mind and his stories when I read this "You Can't Fix Stupid". Sorry SG.

My uncle retired from the Canadian Airforce after 30 years as an NCO and flight instrument tech. He did not want any more officers or people telling him what to do for a while so he took a job fixing electronic games. As he retired in Cold Lake AB he criss crossed the northern part of AB.
He had three teen age daughters at the time. The girls and his wife had a cat named Martha. On day the cat was distroying something in the house so he picks the cat up and throws it in the back of the car for a long distance repair call. A couple hundred miles from home he tosses the cat out figuring it will make its way to the nearest farm and live happily ever after.
Returning home the girls pine for this cat for a month and a half. He keeps his mouth shut. The cat just dissappeared. Then one day the cat shows up all beat up. The pads and claws on its feet worn down to the numbs. He is forced to own up to what he did. It took about ten years and the natural death of the cat before it warmed above -60 C every time he or anyone else mentioned Martha.

Yes rear hydraulics can be added, although mine does not have them. The tractor was equiped with a backhoe and therefore it would necessitate them.

It is my impression some of these matteress don't come with a plasctic cover over them as the traditional ones do. The shipping of the traditional ones required. There is at least one of these companies that give you the 30 day in home that ships in small boxes. Watch their tv commercial as the man and women eacht tote abox up stairs.

Mabye these spray it with roundup? There is a real possibility they do have a GAS chamber method to sterlized it. Remember, RIP.

I can't speak for the tc30, but my TC 40 gear tractor has a range of speads that are as broad as you could imagine. Even when your in the lowest gear and running the power take off at 540 you still travel pretty creepy.
You go even slower if you dont need her wound up to 540rpm.
Then on to the opposit end. I put her in high range and I pass semi's on the highwy on their right side!!!!
(LOL) Ok maybe not but in all honesty I cant imagine needing to go any slower or faster than what I can with my tractor.
I will say this though, my new lawn tractor (Cub Cadet) has a hydro. Its the first hydro I have ever owned. I do see how a guy can kind of fall into the trap of hydro over gear (for no legit reason too) I love the way I can buzz up to a tree, slow her right down to a creep, turn around her and then crank it back up! I can see where it would have its beni's in a mowing situation! But IMO for most or all of my work I do with the tractor, I can definately use the extra money in my pocket than use a hydro transmistion. (My attitude may change once I need to use it for the snow! (PS. Then I buy a enclosed cab skid steer) LOL

I have a friend who just purchased a 5020 and is having problems with the hydraulic system. He added fluid, but it seems to be worse. Someone told him that he needed to use 90 weight transmission fluid instead of hydraulic fluid. Does anyone have the specs on the fluid requirements?<br>
