Mine is made by them. It's bascially a blend of other manufacturers' ideas. Mine's a 6'. Maybe by now they have had time to redesign the bearing system that holds the roller. I have gone through 3 sets of bearings. They used ones that had no protection and therefore wore out within about 40 hours. It's built well but heavy. They used to offer a rotary sweeper roller but that wouldn't be cool as it would throw everything toward you.

Unless you have a lot money to play with, a power rake is not all it's cracked up to be. I much prefer my box scraper alone over the pr. rake. I haven't used my pr. for about 1 1/2 years. But hey it's only money.

Thanks, Should have figured the price was a bit high as this is the asking price. He has a TC40D for the same 17K but it has only 150 hrs. Which do you think would be better?

I believe that VIA rail the Canadian counterpart no longer has a continuous train from Halifax to B.C. You have to use the coach from Montreal to Toronto. You can do it for as little as $1500 each.<br>
I did the Prince Rupert to Toronto and Vancouver to Toronto more than 30 years ago. The Prince Rupert B.C. to Jasper AL trip is excellent, as is the Vancouver to Banff. The prairie and northern Ontario can get quite boring as much of the senery is similar. The CP rail route along lake Superior is much better than the CN route. <br>
There is another tourist train running the route, but takes 17 days and is not VIA. This is from 3500 to 7000 like Murf said and one way. A bit like a cruise on rail. I guess you could spend 14K and two months on the train. After 11K miles on the rail you would know you had been somewhere.<br>
There is a tour that runs up Vancouver island, takes the Ferry to Prince Rupet and then connects to the train. It runs to Jasper and then bus to Banff. And then train back to Vancouver. To me this is the best tour for the dollar.

Mobil 1 meets most the specs but I think it is better to use the Delvac 1 which is specifically made for diesel engines. I doubt that your Kubota calls for 10W-30 for the summer.<br>

Check your tire pressures. If when raising the fronts after driving in four wheel drive on a hard surface they turn in a forward motion then they would need more air. If they turn to the rear then they need less.

Sears uses to be very good on their guaranteed on the Craftsman label but they had not near as good on Sears Labelled products.

A few years ago Sears purchased Western Auto and was offering the local store the option to carry either line of tools the Craftsman or the Wizzard line. Not sure if htey still own Western Auto but they and K Mart are the same, do they offer their tools there now or Martha Stewart or such.

There was a nice one along the Mississippi on June 2&3 this spring. I saw them heading north through Prairie Du Chien WI on Saturday while I was heading south on my motorcycle. Then on Sunday when I was heading north across the river near Harpers Ferry IA they were heading south. It was at least 50 miles from where I saw them the day before.

I would say there were 50-60 in total. Fords, Farmalls, Allis Chalmers a few green ones (JD and Olivers), a couple of Minneapolis Molines. Most of them had sunshades mounted over the seats. I spent 10 minutes waving at them all and they all had big smiles on their faces. I'd say they were having fun. :)

Background

The House of Representatives passed an estate tax �reform� bill, H.R. 5638, yesterday by a vote of 269 to 156. The vote was never in doubt. The Senate could take up H.R. 5638 as early as next Tuesday. The Senate took up estate tax repeal on June 8, 2006, but was unable to muster the 60 votes to overcome a filibuster.

H.R. 5638, authored by Rep. Bill Thomas (R CA), was written specifically to attract support from the above list of Senators. The key features of H.R. 5638 are:

An exempt amount of $5 million for each individual ($10 million for a married couple).
The exempt amount would become effective in 2010 and indexed thereafter.
Taxable estates above $5 million and up to $25 million will face a top rate of the capital gains rate, currently set at 15%.
Taxable estates above $25 million will be subject to a top rate that is double the capital gains rate.
Currently the capital gains rate is 15%, but that rate sunsets in 2010 and would increase to 20% if Congress does not act.

As someone who has never owned turf tires on a tractor those I have looked at are wider than the ag tires for the same tractor. In the real world of farming that width is an issue with some implements and crops.

The only time I ever considered turf tires the salesman talked me out of them by the suggestion I find a source of replacement first. If the field is your main arena, I would buy ag tires. If the lawn is your main arena turf makes sense. I do know my ztr has real turf tires and it marks our lawn as much as the CUT with your loader tires does and is dead on wet grass on slopes, unless cutting down hill.

In my experience the front tires on the tractor are more damaging than any tire on the rear unless the lawn is really wet.

pro,

The angle of the point or plow on your subsoiler and middle buster normally pulls them into the ground. If you a really hard pan you may have an issue but not normally as that is what the subsoiler is designed for.

Boy, grading and subsoiling, two good jobs to find out the traction of your tractor and two good jobs for seatbelts. I would not want a subsoiler without a shear bolt or trip of somekind. Unless you have no rocks or roots at any depth it could reach.

Steve let me get into this a little more. Draft controls all work differently, not just to say that some are a bending bar design to address the torque and some are a twist or some are electronic. On larger tractor's they use lower link and on smaller tractor's they use upper or top link sencing. It goes beyond that to how much will it sense or what will it take to know when to move and how often! I've been lucky enough to see the differences in the ag applications of plowing and subsoiling as well as with backblades and box scrapers and the results of better fuel economy and smoother operation of the eqiupment. Now for the bomb! A draft system that doesn't offer an ability to address less then a 10% difference or to not address it within a second or quicker does no good and people often went to hand operation to control the depth of the equipment as some manufacturers have designs that won't change unless a 20% or greater load change is felt which normally would mean the tires might even begin to spin before the draft would signal to adjust the hitch. For that reason I would not go for the additional cost and time to add it.

I was also waiting for the 2320 to come out and couldn't wait any longer. Went with a 2630 Kubota instead and have no regrets. A lot more standard features than the John deere has and better financing rates at the time, still may be. I hated not being able to deal with my John Deere dealer who I always buy from but the Kubota dealer treated me very well, I was very impressed with them. Good luck in your purchase!

Having some health problems, I read the posts daily, but don't have much to offer, my Son is home from Iraq and resigned from the Army. They can still call him back but no overseas duty unless he agrees. That took a lot of my worry away,and the Doctor said it was affecting my health. hope everything is all well with you!!

Were you sitting in the seat when you tried the pto? There is a switch in the seat that must be activated to make the pto work. Check to be sure the wires are connected under the seat. There is also an electromagnet under the dash that makes the pto lever work. You might check the wiring there. I am not sure of the value of the mower deck and the blower, but I suspect if they are in good shape, you might expect to pay around $1000.00 for the mower and around $1500.00 for the blower at a dealer, maybe more if you try to sell it during a snowstorm. I made a three point carrier (like what goes into your trucks reciever hitch to add cargo carrier?) Used the tractors three point lifting ability to raise and lower the 25 gallon Fimco sprayer that ALSO comes in a trailer version! This is a pretty decent set up for the occasional sraying and will cost you less than $200 (depending on what you get) Look up Fimco Sprayers.
I have used mine thre to four times a year now for the last 2-3 years, No problems (KNOCK KNOCK) LOL
PS The lifting ability came/comes in handy for the amount of spray you want to cover the ground and its concentration. Also if the wind picks up you can lower it and make more passes.

iowa: Hey thanks so much for the caring. The water thing is a constant issue--and I don't mean from the hurricane. About a month ago there was a high tide with an easterly wind that brought water a foot over the roads in some places. Even though I'm 5 miles from the Gulf, I'm about a mile from the bayous that lead to the gulf. So weather related water is a daily concern. But on a serious note I have made a lot friends down here. There's a certain "we're all in the same boat" literally and figuratively. I'm keeping my Candominium at a customer's house whose house floated OVER power lines and landed in the road. All he has is 10-foot-high stilts that supported his 2500 sq ft home. He bought 3 acres north about 5 miles which we cleared and dug him a big pond. I've done about $1000 in free work for his two sets of relative neighbors so I'm sure I would be welcome to keep my stuff there until the storm passes (Hurricane Katrina reached some 400 miles inland and was over 200 miles wide---so it's hard to escape this kind of stuff---and now I see there's something brewing off Florida---RUT ROW RAGGY! Man, when I lived in Michigan (as my east-side-of-Michigan contractor friends working down and are moving here call Michigan "The Mistake by the Lake.") the only time I paid attention to the weather was in the winter when I had to plow snow the next morning. Any body wanna buy a nearly new Boss 8-2" v-plow?
