godd questions and I don't have a good answer for you, but I will say that the old rule of thumb was twenty percent for other mixes.

There is no down force on the 3-point and a hydraulic top link won't provide it either. The hydraulic top link only adjusts the angle.

After the 3rd time reading my BX-23 manual I figured out missing 8 pages(4 sheets) wasn't so bad but 1 is the 50 hr service info. Scatered thruout book. be aware anybody else notice? Going to dealer in am!!

Dealer or any source like E-bay you might find to aquire your owners manual. They are disc brakes and other then parking there is little use if the hydro is right to use the tractor. There is a adjustment to them but they nrmally don't need adjustment.

I took the carburetor apart - all looked ok. It definitely acts as if it is not getting gas. I confirmed the fuel line is clear and replaced the fuel filter. I was able to get it started so I am going to make sure the tank is full and change the oil and see if it starts to behave.

Earthwrks - thanks for the reminder on the water situation where you are. It's easy to forget about that and just focuss on things like windows. Most of the covereage we get up here is due to wind damage caused by debris. So it's easy to forget about the water in some areas. I'd be for getting the hell out too when you see a storm coming.

If I was closer, I'd take a day of vacation and use the F250 to help ya get the hell out. Course, if it gets to that point, maybe another TP can meet me and we'll make a marathon drive to help you out. Two drivers can do it way better than one. Plus we can talk tractors and stupid stuff to pass the time.

Several "ole geezers" me included, but I'm not an OG, will drive the old iron around the townships on a Sunday afternoon here. Speaking of which gotta get the M out.

We have many more antique tractor pulls. Plus all the farm shows during the summer. We also have the steam engine/tractor shows with reaping threashing jump balers etc.

And currently the major draw is "GRASSCAR" souped up lawnmower racing...

Hardwood, my wife's aunt and uncle had one of them fan-belt cats. I called him Tripod. He got around pretty good despite missing that front leg. Then he up and disappeared. Coyote or wolf probably got him. They have both up there.

Ah Winterpeg. Been there a time or two when I lived in Northern Minnesota. Barren drive up there through Steinbeck. Yep, flat, wide open. I love the block heater plug-ins at teh airport. That was nice when I got off the plane in January. It was cheaper and easier for me to drive to Winterpeg to fly to Chicago than to drive to Grand Forks, ND to fly to Chicago. Same drive time.

Comedy club there was fun. We didn't get the Canadian political humor, but laughed at everything else.

Dittos on the above. Turfs are best for everything except mud.

One major drawback to R-4's.... they are very stiff and will give the worst possible ride you can get on a tractor.

Wife has notice the terms TP, CUT, RFM and FEL and such. Questions like wonder what WW or oneance or YP or SG or some fun guy or Murf or the guy that goes in cirlces would do.

Installed the $4 Kubota bulb last night, nothing. Well I found there is a broken wire inside the insulation to the bulb. Seems I had two issues, first bulbs were defective and a broken wire inside insulation. You know the $4 Kubota bulb does not look any better in the filament then the 80 cent GE one does.

So, don't assume the obvious is alwasy the issue.

I followed all the suggestions and it was able to lift however a friend noticed the coupler appeared to be broken with the pin in the center jammed against the wall of the coupler. I went to the dealer for parts and he said that was probably the cause. I replaced it, changed tranny fluid and filter and it worked great for 10 minutes now the bucket wont curl. so I looked and another coupler was broken as well. So I went and bought 3 more to replace all of them, I think that should do it, right? Thanks you very much for your help, this board is the greatest! Scott
