Iowa: I'm 5 miles from the coast. They had 30 feet of water go through here. The water went another 10 miles inland. I see (and smell---there is nothing worse) on a regular basis what sea water does to everything down here. I'm told I have insurance on my equipment, but I don't want to have to use it. I have considered making a trailer hitch for the back of the equipment trailer to hitch my camper up and make one trip with two trailers.

KT: As long as the circle is 200 miles in diameter it shouldn't be a problem. The Chocolate City Mayor...where do I start? It's like being in Detroit and watching reruns of political crap. Are you volunteering wheels for the evacuation.

Mine was so stiff it bent the handle. i tore into it about 5 years ago the linkage that needs to be loosend and lubed is on the left side under the pto handles. Take that side apart and start moving the handle and you will see where to loosen. Mine goes up and down with the push of a finger.

I have used it it is about the same a the rest of the junk they sell. It will kill the mound that it is applied to but another mound will pop up 10' away. Is it the same ants I dont know. Maybe I will ask one of the little red devils. Do they make tracking collers that size?

I checked some new tire prices on the web and cut the numbers in half.

I could take $105 for the front tires plus $50 for each front rim and $165 for both rear tires.

Total $375, plus shipping.

As far as engine oil synthetic engine oil rated for diesel engines is fine. The regular New Holland Hyde. oil is conventional. As far a price goes I could really care less what it costs. Just cause it costs allot does not mean it is right. For you to use full synthetic hyd oil you would have to add a friction modifier for the brakes just like you would for a limited slip rear. However the o-rings and rotating group in the hydro unit will fry with a friction modifier.

Well guys went and bought two bulbs from Kubota dealer and they can in orange plastic. At $3.92 each I sure hope they are better quality than the less than dollar part store ones.

Thanks for the laughs guys. I don't have that many cat stories. At my last house, the neighbor's cat would pinch a loaf ON my front porch if my dogs chased it earlier. It was in town so I couldn't use firearms. I did like to scare it by setting off the alarm on my truck. That startles the hell out of them at 1 am.

I did get in trouble with the stepmonster by shaving her cat. He always jumped on my back and sank his claws in when I read the paper at the kitchen counter. It's amazing how flexible you get and how far you can reach when those claws sink in! So when he sat on the bathroom counter while I was shaving, I scratched him between the ears with the electric trimmer feature. He loved it. Stepmonster wasn't so amused.

But it's a lesson on how losing your temper always makes it worse. Been there, done that. Likely will do it again sometime.

I guess we'll have to stick to using Ken & Kenneth to keep it straight, LOL.

I tried it by fluke once, we were asked to loan a tractor or two to the local Lions Club for a parade float. They promised to make sure it was returned clean, and did, right down to Armour-All'ing the tires, LOL.

We didn't keep it up, they did seem to shed dirt better than the other tractors on the same job for a while afterwards.

I have heard that rumour about the stuff too, but since most of them are nothing more than some silicone oil and a UV inhibitor and few other miscellaneous things, I really can't see how it could.

I have a buddy who is really into the old cars, he has a Model T that was his Dad's, he has kept those skinny little tires (because they're hard to get and $$$$) soaked in the stuff for the 15 years I've known him, they haven't deteriorated any yet that I can see.

I failed to point out something that was coved by others here...the right dealership sales person is often the one who asks a ton of questions first. Maybe even to the point you think none of your business, Not who starts off with well this baby is only....

My opinion the right sales person could be worth at least that $1,000 but guess what I do...But the wrong tool (any kind of purchase for that matter) at any price is a bad buy.

I have replaced the left tail light blub on my tractor 3 or 4 times in the last two months. Don't use it much at night but on road about dusk so like it working. I have used at least 2 different brands purchased from 2 different stores. Yet after just a few minutes they stop working. Don't really looked burned out but they must be as I can hook them directly to a 12 volt source and they will not work. Yes, I have verified the bulbs are 12 volt for my 12 volt system. <br>

The light fixture has place for 2 light bulbs but only use one. Guess the other use is an option I don't have. In trying to figure out what is going on noticed the area around the other bulb socket is busted. Looks like it is allowing a little dust into the bulb area. I have not found any moisture in the fixture or really much dust. It is hard to believe dust could be blowing the bulbs as I have seen tail lights on trailers and such run for a long time with a broken lens.<br>

thanks arrow, i couldnt read the rest( not a full member)but i found a 2003 tc29 with a new belly mower for 11500 with 100hrs on it, wish it had a loader, if there are any other deals let me know, a buddy is looking for the same,,as always thanks

A friend of mine is looking for a loader for his 1954 , 420 John Deere . If anyone Knows of one in the New England area let me know. Does anyone know what loaders will fit this tractor , that mght help in locating one. <br>

I agree with Art. But if you have something that really needs to follow the land you may have options such as adding wheels to the equipement like a finishing mower uses.

Years ago Ford tractors lifts never held a load level. For field cultivation that was a problem. So the local farmer added skids that were adjustable and let the plow slide along very well on them. Work so well other brands of tractor owners used them for convenience.
