Oneace. I was thinking the plastic would be lighter, but I guess if you increase the size and cupholders etc. you end up adding a lot of weight. The cost of style.

My work on composites is always to reduce weight for example Oshgosh Trucks has a glass mixer barrel for the large trucks and it is 2000 lb less than the steel.

Realize I am mixxing products here but a few years ago purchased a Dodge four wheel drive pickup. My first. I was told how to engage the four wheel drive very detailed by the dealership and it was sitting still and well, it just did not work. Read the manual and it was very straight forward engage when moving slowly. Worked very well. Dealership was surprised when I went over the manual with them.

On my Kubota that has 4 wheel drive, I sometimes have to put it in gear and move the tractor a little to engage the 4 wheel drive.

Guess what I am saying is this seems to be a lot of 4 wheels work.

dk, we've had really good luck with Bayer products, it turns out they can cure headaches in turf as well!! LOL.

They have a new product out the last few years which is a broad spectrum fungicide, that is it acts on nearly any fungus you are likely to encounter in your lawn, the most common being things like dollar spot, brown patch and rust.

It is marketed under the name Armada� by Bayer and is really just a combination of two of their best (IMHO) sellers, Compass and Bayleton which have been around for years. It is approved for the 14 most common turf funguses.

You should be able to get it at any farm supply, TSC, Co-Op or that type of store.

As for the wind, all we do is wait for a calm night without too much dew then apply it at right at, or as close to dawn as possible. You will generally have more than enough time before the breeze picks up. If this is not possible you can lower the nozzle, reduce the flow, and travel a little faster and still apply in a breeze, just be sure to stay downwind of anything you don't want sprayed.

I asked my shop yesterday on this and they said that engine runs about 205 to 210. It could be your thermostat is stuck open, or missing. Is it possible the sending unit is not a match for you new guage or it is bad. I would think you had run it sufficient to see it reach it's normal operating temp.

starded to take the engine if this was a gas auto it would be the rings. did check rings were alright but piston was srarded up real bad as if some metal got into the chamber, there is a metal build up near the top of the sleve thats not normal. the other pisto is like new. the one that was allcut up was hard to get out pass the build up. any idea about what may have caused this??and where is a good place for a piston and rings.all bearing seem in good shape. also a gasket kit for a 1500

My 4310 has been very reliable. It's the same machine with a little bigger engine. Weak points? Open the hood and look for corrosion around the battery, radiator and oil cooler where battery outgassing occurs. The 4210 is sometimes considered a little underpowered for it's frame size but it can do a lot of work.

To start with I would check the filter screen in the gas tank. If you get a little rust flakes in the tank from the diesel it will collect on the filter. You run for 30-40 min. it cuts off the diesel then you stop and it falls off. You get the idea.

second A solenoid is an electromagnet with fine wire wrapped around the core. They will do funny things sometimes they just die like a light bulb, sometimes there is a connection cold and not warm other time warm and not cold. I would look at the fuel solenoid.

Me thinks someone might be getting the shaft. I would have thought the new driller would have a drill rate w/o casing and your original driller who hired him should have a rate.

I'm not in the lets put in new casing at this point. Me thinks I would start gluing plastic PVC as large as I could get down the original casing, to the bottom of the new dig. I'd drill lots of holes in it. Hack a big slot in the side of it for the pittless connector and put the pump 10' from the bottom.

The new drillers address is not at the cornner of "RIPEMOFF ST & GOOD ST" by chance is it?

Thompson: I considered using those plastic visors which are used on school buses also. The problem with my situation is the conditions are extremely dusty and dry so constant cleaning is as issue. The mesh will get susty too but shouldn't be as hard to keep clean.

And I know yer 'razzing me 'bout going in circles, but just for the record they are overlapping circles which an old timer told me how to do when it comes to grading large areas. If you have never tried it, you should.

You described my new holland installation almost exactly..... except my deck weighs around 3 or 4 hundred pounds, it is EXTREMELY HEAVY. I am 6' 3" 230lbs and i can barely lift up half of it at a time to set the pins.<br>

I am negotiating on a 4310 as I type this, how do you like the power on yours as far as handling that 72" cut? My tc29 is a little anemic, cuts ok but bogs down in tall (6 inches or more) grass.<br>

This guy wants 17000 for a 4310 with 170hrs and a 430 loader with a bushhog.... I would have to buy a mmm though.

I always recomend a trip to the hardware store for anyone with a problem like that.

In the plumbing section (or you might already have one) they have a special wrench called a "basin wrench" which is designed for working on the drain fittings on the bottoms of sinks and such.

It has a small fixed jaw with teeth, and a large curved spring-loaded jaw and a (often) telescopic handle. They are very good at getting in around the guard and the PTO shaft to spin the output shaft to line up with the coupler.

Way easier than busted knuckles and greasy hands!!

Of course a piece of rope and a bar will spin it to, but tools are more fun.

I have a JM354 and a 3 point linkage B'hoe. I have had problems with the oil frothing out but that seems to be solved for now. Thanks to all those that have helped out. However, now that the B'hoe is operational I notice that it is very jerky in its movements no matter how hard I try to be gental with the control levers. I took the valve cover off and noticed that I could not adjust the oil flow into the valves at all there is just no adjustment available.<br>
Is there an add on I can put on to slow the oil to make for more smoother operation? And where do I put it? Can I control the whole valve system with one control 'add on' or do I need to put one on every, say, inlet hose to each valve? Look forward to your suggestions.<br>

Another option might be a thin high carbon steel tight fitting sleeve that would fit over the filter. I doubt that the filter housing has much of a cooling effect, so it wouldn't impede performance. This would also be an easy fabrication as the filter is all that is needed as a guide. Plus...the ground clearence wouldn't be reduced (and MMM fitting). Fram are you listening?
