Don't think the wind will not bother or affect you with a boom. If you read a good spray nozzle catalog it will point out which nozzles give you the larger doplet size which is LESS affected by the wind or drift.

Murf, I fully understand that boom tilt. Can be wicked.

just got it started , I now find that i'm getting a lot of blow out of thevent tube, dip stick tub ect. is it a blow ring or is it a bad valve and how do i find out which one? also does anyone know where I could get parts I would need.

You also should try spraying some WD 40 where the shaft comes out of the case,but Greg is correct alot of time you have to move the tractor a little to Engage/Disengage.

You described my new holland installation almost exactly..... except my deck weighs around 3 or 4 hundred pounds, it is EXTREMELY HEAVY. I am 6' 3" 230lbs and i can barely lift up half of it at a time to set the pins.<br>

I am negotiating on a 4310 as I type this, how do you like the power on yours as far as handling that 72" cut? My tc29 is a little anemic, cuts ok but bogs down in tall (6 inches or more) grass.<br>

This guy wants 17000 for a 4310 with 170hrs and a 430 loader with a bushhog.... I would have to buy a mmm though.

The TC 30 is an older design that NH brought back in to be a price leader. I think it was the 16XX series frame, but I am not sure. The TC 29 is slightly heavier construction and is the more modern design.

From the discussion here on TP the dealers have found the hydro units to be as reliable as the gear. If you want more use the topic search on hydro. There is a lengthy discussion on the value of gear vs hydro. For manuvering in the trees I would go with the hydro, although companies like Goldini, McCormick and Antonio Carraro, who make orchard tractors are mostly shuttle shifts with syncro trans and multiple ranges. I am not sure the NH will have the speed ranges you need with out the hydro.

I always recomend a trip to the hardware store for anyone with a problem like that.

In the plumbing section (or you might already have one) they have a special wrench called a "basin wrench" which is designed for working on the drain fittings on the bottoms of sinks and such.

It has a small fixed jaw with teeth, and a large curved spring-loaded jaw and a (often) telescopic handle. They are very good at getting in around the guard and the PTO shaft to spin the output shaft to line up with the coupler.

Way easier than busted knuckles and greasy hands!!

Of course a piece of rope and a bar will spin it to, but tools are more fun.

It runs between 150-155. This is after disking for about 20 minutes. Did I give it long enough to warm up sufficiently? This is my first tractor and first diesel so I am sort of "green" on some of this stuff so please bear with me. Thanks again.

By the way, I seen some thermostats for other MF and they were 160 degree units. I haven't actually seen one for my particular model though.

I live in Bowling Green, Kentucky and the tires will be filled with air. The size tires on the tractor now is 13.6-24 and I will probably stay with the same size as well as the AG type tires.

This jerky motion is reported VERY often on the various Chinese tractor forums. Your're likely just experiencing the same issue as everyone else, an issue which is almost always tracked back to the controller. The three most common options reported are;
1. live with it
2. learn to feather the controller
3. replace the controller with a more user-friendly after-market model.

The crud that is originally poured in the hydraulic system can aggravate the issue as well. If you haven't already, I'd drain the OE fluid and flush the system with kerosene. Refill with a non-foaming hydraulic fluid suitable to your ambient operating temperatures.

I have a JM354 and a 3 point linkage B'hoe. I have had problems with the oil frothing out but that seems to be solved for now. Thanks to all those that have helped out. However, now that the B'hoe is operational I notice that it is very jerky in its movements no matter how hard I try to be gental with the control levers. I took the valve cover off and noticed that I could not adjust the oil flow into the valves at all there is just no adjustment available.<br>
Is there an add on I can put on to slow the oil to make for more smoother operation? And where do I put it? Can I control the whole valve system with one control 'add on' or do I need to put one on every, say, inlet hose to each valve? Look forward to your suggestions.<br>

A few years ago our deep well was having problems and a well driller I knew quickly asked said you have public water available, go with it. Seems my 200 or so well was dwarfed by the large commerical well just a little ways across the woods at a trash hauling company of all things.

As to the cost, you may be dealing with a person who really can not handle math.

WHy don't you find out what state agency regulates wells there, call and ask if what this guys is telling you is accurate or not on installing new casing. Could be he thinks he is correct but not or could be he is 100% accurate and honest.

Another option might be a thin high carbon steel tight fitting sleeve that would fit over the filter. I doubt that the filter housing has much of a cooling effect, so it wouldn't impede performance. This would also be an easy fabrication as the filter is all that is needed as a guide. Plus...the ground clearence wouldn't be reduced (and MMM fitting). Fram are you listening?

As Kenneth touched on, weight has a lot to do with it.

I was helping out a friend last year, his econo box blade on his 'Bota BX wouldn't break up the soil.

My Rhino had no real problem doing it, mind you, my 'Bota is a little beefier, and my Rhino blade wieghs 1,000 pounds, not 400 as well.

Okay guys,

Just looked at K-9 site and they are asking what is wrong with their owners. Don't they know that stuff they pay a lot of money for and put on them stinks really bad. Don't our humans have any sense of smell?

Why any old dead criter or waste, which is free smells much better!!

There really is two possible answers, one the shampo or such really causes them a problem with their senstive noses and they are not able to pick up on other sents or they like playing you for a dummy! LOL Could be both cause some dogs are right smart.
