There are two Long tractor dealers near me. A good friend purchased a tractor about two years ago and told me this week has waited for 3 months on a relay in teh circuit that shuts the engine off when the key it turned off.

Said one dealer could not get the relay and the other at least did not have the proper one.

Do you think this ia a supply issue or rather dealer issue?
Three months on a part wait is a loooonnnngggg time.

Murf, where do you get those drains from? My boats a PITA to change the oil in if I want a total drain and I know they have the top suction outfits which I'm on my second one but I'd like a drain plug with the petcock and a hose..

I have the DX25E cousin from CASE and I too am very happy. They have lots of torque and very ergonomically correct for the user. I did look and test drive the competitors but the others had diferences that I didn't like. AND...the 0% financing is great! I think that the owners manual is cheap and lacks good photos to guide you through the operation and maintenance. Watch that transmission filter when removing the mower, its so easy to dent (keep an extra filter on hand)!

I cleaned out the gas tank on my British sportscar and I was amazed at the amount of bugs (dead beetles) that were sitting on the bottom of the tank. I mean are bugs attracted to gasoline? I can only think that the previous owner must have had the tank sitting on a shelf allowing bugs to crawl around inside. I cleaned the tank out because I was experiencing sporadic shutdowns of the engine while driving. It was a loose washer from the float that would occasionally drift over the intake pipe and get sucked onto the tube causing fuel starvation.

I generally agree with your comments and thoughts as to where to invest. But just remember one thing....there are never any guarantees! Never. Just know who you are dealing with. REALLY know them. That's our best protection. And then even sometimes our family and friends will get us.

In my business I see unfortunate, honest folks scammed almost every day by these scum bags. There are getting better and better every day with more inventive, convincing scams.

How did the counterfeiters do it? Treasury would love to know. Remember when they came out with the new bills and said they would be very difficult to counterfeit? Well, they did it almost over night and even better than they did the old bills. Technology has allowed this.

Believe me when I say I could have bought your tractor with them.....they were that good. If anyone out there insist on taking cash for a big sale and someone offers you $100 bills and you don't know them....really know them...take the purchaser and the bills to your local bank and most will have a machine that will determine their authenticity. If the purchaser refuses, you know you have a live one!

Yeah, I have planned out in my mind a machinery shed that would look like the carriage sheds that still stand next to some of the old churches. In those days, church must have been an all day event because people backed their carriages into the shed and then let the horses loose to graze all day.

Anyway, with the artificial stone that is available nowadays (one contractor I know calls it Lick-And-Stick stone) you can make a frame building look 200 years old with no problem. That's probably the route that I will go. There are stone masons around who will do the work with a real stone veneer, but it is awfully expensive.

I have an older Wheel Horse Garden/Lawn Tractor. it's a D200 Automatic. I ordered some manuals from ebay, but have not received them yet. the tractor has a trans/hydraulic leak in the rear end, but i don't know what type of fluid is recommended to replace! Will a universal hydraulic fluid be ok or is there a different weight of oil that is to go in the case??? Any and all help will be extremely appreciated. If i don't get this taken care of, I'll have to get the haybine out to mow my yard! Thanks again in advance!

Rick,

As to your lift lever question there are those who will be 100% but based upon my 2 Kubotas one smaller and one larger than the L, I doubt if either of those lift levers start picking up the lift arms with the first movement of the lift lever. I am sure on my B model it does not.

There probably is some adjustment to that lever's position. You also could test it against another tractor there.

Make sure you're retired to the farm and not the nursing home. On a similar note - make sure the only time you go into the hospital is when you know you're gonna come out. And your last image of the Kubota should be it piling dirt on top of you - on your own property of course! (Morbid advice based on recent stay in hospital - or should I say insane asylum.)

Since WalMart ownes the retail market, they are probably playing safe. They are also working hard to try to clean up their bad image. So they want the fuel additives to have the proper labeling to help offset the many WalMarts that were built on wetlands or illegaly drain their parking lots into wetlands.

I use a RFM and a rough cut on my CUT with hydro. Esp. with the rough cut have found it very useful to cut some places in reverse. Now I am able to turn sideways enough to see very well and still be seated fully. Also as has been pointed out, SLOWLY. Enough when you do bump something there is no damage.

On some cutters the debris will discharge different than traveling forward.
