I would suggest looking in the phone book under lubricants or bulk lubricants. Where I work every fluid we use is delivered in bulk. From antifreeze to 80w 90 and every thing in between. We even get it dyed different colors.

I am not saying they are not Japanese. I do not care where the Assembly line is. When I worked fro the NH dealer and went to the training for the The TZ I talked to the engineering team that designed the tractor. They were not paid by Shibaura but rather by CNH. think about it. Have you ever seen any thing as low quality and with as many flaws as the TZ come out of a Japanese R&D facility.

I did not mean to give the impression of the wrench being a socket, it connects to socket tools. They are open end wrenches. Just very short. Just a little longer than the head of the wrench.

Murf,

I understand the things you brought up as to visiblity and such. But it would seem if you can see to use your bucket or such you should have fair line of sight for mower. As to steering, understand that but again it would seem to me as someone who has used your TLB (I remembered the proper term!) some it would seem a quick learn.

in the two years that I worked on them never heard of such a kit. What I have heard of is !!LAZY!! dealers that do not take the time to set the machine up right the first time. To do it right just take too much time and maybe the new owner won't notice. Then well make up something to cover our LAZY ass light a leveling kit.

Ideally a drivesahft with typical cross u-joints should be as straight as possible. Roughly, each end can be out straight alignment by 2 degrees each or 4 degrees total. After about 5 degrees (if memory serves) you start getting an out-of-phase condition where the driven end of the PTO shaft actually alternately speeds up and slows down every one-fourth of the revolution. This is where you start getting chatter too of gears if using a gear box. When I first read this in an engineering handbook, I performed an experiment using a 3/8" ratchet universal and two extenions, and sure enough it's right. Generally speaking, when using only one u-joint it's nearly impossible to cancel the out-of-phase condition. But add a u-joint to the other end, and being careful to index each other by 90 degrees out of index, you'll cancel almost all out-of-phase (OP). Don't index it and you'll magnify (OP) by double. The only way to really cancel OP is use something like constant velocity joint (balls and socket) like what is found on a FWD car.

I recently teamed up with a residential building contractor from SE Mich. 10 miles north of Detroit who uprooted his 7 crews and moved them to the Miss. Gulf Coast. He lives and works in the second richest county in Mich. Nearly all of his employees and families with small children are relocating down here permanently soley because of the state of the bad Mich. economy. And nearly all have had their homes for sale for some time, but no one wants them because of all the job losses. He said about a few weeks ago, a major engineering and design shop of about 300 just a year ago (where the employees are leased to the Big 3 as "temps" or "jobbies"---of which I was a "temp" at one co. for 10 years!) were notified that there were going to be layoffs totalling 240 by the end that week. The remaining 60 were told to find jobs as they were closing the business by the end of the month. This is the norm. And it will continue to get worse. Seven yaers ago I was lucky to have missed approx. 40-plus layoffs at one company in the ten years I was there. When Detroit sneezes the rest of Michigan gets a cold. Last one out please turn out the lights.

All you have to do is drill until you feel the resistance increase then you know you have reached the bottom of the hole. To drill the threads out you real should have very little resistance so you will definitely be able to tell when you bottom out. The whole time I worked at the dealership I have never seen the bolts come loose for the mid mount mower bracket. They are supposed to have special serrated lock washers. If they failed to install them or installed regular locks then I could see them coming loose. When you reinstall new bolt get some red lock tight with them.

My eBay used Kubota arrived bright and early on Memorial Day. The seller was very accommodating to deliver it on my day off.

The L3600GST is in wonderful condition, better than I had expected. It even has mid PTO and work lights on the ROPS, which weren't listed in the description. Although it's a nine year old tractor it only has 278 hours on it and is just a little bit dusty (soon to be corrected with a wash and wax). The PTO shield and drawbar were missing (seller said someone stole them while it was for sale) so I picked up a new shield at my friendly Kubota dealer.

I'm very happy with the machine. The owner and service manuals are on the way and I plan to do a major service with fluids and filters change when I figure out how.

you got it right 100%. I want to know how many felons convicted of violent crimes are currently out of prison. They are the ones who continue to commit crimes when out of prison. Those folks should be simply rounded up and shot. If that results in riots, the rioters should be rounded up and shot, too.

As far as pricing goes a good rule of thumb is to ask for 20% off MSRP. Some dealers won't budge but getting 10% off is reasonably common. The JD website will allow you to build & price and give you MSRP prices.

I wouldn't worry too much about getting water in the grease joints. Just wash the tractor and clean up the extra grease and water around the joints with a rug, then give a few pumps with a grease gun and that should get the water out of the joints.<br>

I've been using that Koyker backhoe for a couple of years now. No complaints, but I DON'T use it in the same manner I would a regular backhoe. It's mainly used for digging 2-3 foot ditches and a small stump every now and then. I'm using it on a Kubota L245DT.
