I have a work saver 6' york rake , I only use it about 2 times a year during good months. During the winter I use it to scape snow away from my doors. My question is , is it worth it to get a wheel kit for it. Do they help out at all.

Well, I've been enjoying my "new" B7100 HST E, but I guess I shoulda ordered that owners manual. I ran my deisel tractor out of fuel.<br>

I was hoping the fact that the fuel tank gravity feeds into the filter would allow for an easier way, but it just won't restart and I suspect I'll have to prime the thing. But how?<br>

My old Peugeot wagon had a little priming pump, but I don't see anything like that on this machine. I imagine there could be a bleed screw somewhere, but I haven't found it, or at least nothing obvious.<br>

So, is it necessary to prime the fuel system after running it dry. If so, how do I do it?<br>

If you haven't already bought the roof yet, you may want to look into a 'standing seam' roof. The basic design is such that you attach clips to your structure and the roof snaps onto the clips. Additionally the roof panels interlock with each other, almost eliminating screw holes in the roof - which pretty much makes it leak-proof.

I know the 'snapping onto clips' may make it sound a little whimpy, but I think mine has a 90 MPH wind rating and it's already survived 70MPH+. I used the Ultra-Dek product from MBCI.

i recently aquired a '74 cub 149 Hydrostatic. It has been hidden away, neglected in a shed for about 8 years. My plan - already under way - is to get it functional again. Once done I will most likely tear it all apart again and repaint it. I had to do some searching on ebay to find some of the missing pieces. One in particular - the drive shaft or tunnel cover. This has a lever on the right side that at least on the second hand one I recently bought, doesn't seem to contact anything. What is the purpose of the lever?

Can you take the 1" x 15 spline adapter off the mower? If so, what size shaft is it mounted on. The link below is for a PTO shaft adapter to a 1 1/8" shaft. I would think you could get a bushing to go from a smaller shaft to the 1 1/8" shaft, if required.

Have you looked at the stamping embedded into the left side of the chassis, above the step and below the clutch pedal, for the model, engine series and factory serial number of the tractor. It should read something like: B6200DT 850 5xxxxx. You will need this information to order parts from a Kubota dealer or source. My understanding is that dealers do not care to do business for "grey market" units. Hope this helps.

When wet those bales will weigh quite a bit more. The 512 loader on the 5103 might handle them dry but you'd be better off moving them with the 3-point. That's safer anyway. The 5103 is a 2WD machine which is not ideal for loader operations. When the bucket is full the rear driving wheels will tend to lift and lose traction. With proper ballast on flat land it will probably be OK.

I have used both off road and hwy taxed diesel fuel in differenct tractors for a few years depending on where I had to buy from. The only difference I have found is the price.

Good thing the fine for using off road on hwy is not serious. Hey, what if we were to tell the FEDS, the illegals are all using off road fuel. For a $1,000 a piece fine they might be interested. Or better yet, tell congress they are sneaking in for BIG OIL. LOL

they usually have a US location listed in the ad (where the hacked account came from). when you contact them they are abroad but work for a company (usually fedex) that will ship to your door for free. the scams are pretty easy to spot. they love kubota and john deere. it was pretty bad with four wheelers when i was shopping too. basicly any high dollar motorized item that does not typically require a title or registration ....."

David Brown was a part of Case for years as there utility tractor manufacturer. They were part of Case at the time of the purchase of IH in the spring of 1986. Parts are available thru Case-IH dealers.

I just purchased a 1914 with 350 hours on it. It has a new front loader, a new post hole digger and older 5' bush hog. It is a 2002 model. I paid 8000. I thought it was a pretty good deal. Yours is newer and less hours. Sounds like you did good also.

They also have some fancy rules as far as not burning other peoples oil and the transport of it for those that do have waste oil burners. Our units need monthly cleaning do to the build up of the additives in the oil, looks like sand in the burner when we take it out. For the oil we can't or choose not to burn we have to pay to have it taken. If you have a place that takes it for nothing close by then that's great. We actually have a local garage that does much of our service work and we get a oil change as well as grease job for twenty dollars and they check over the veichle well for us in hopes of finding a bad u-joint or something else. Twenty minutes and they are done and only a mile down the road. I'm currently running synthetic in my wife's car and they charge ten dollars to do the change with full service with me supplying the oil and filter. It's nice to be under them often and able to see what is rusting away in NY. NO MORE SALT PLEASE!

I had the same problem trying to find compatible gel battery. I ended up just going to the autoparts and found one that would work. It was a bit larger than the tray but I made it work. By the time I got around to making my choice the old battery's acid did a fine job ruining all the pretty metal and paint.

With the right tools--an impact wrench and a brass or wood punch if you plan to reuse the bolts without damaging the threads--it's a 1/2 hour job. <br>

With the PTO disengaged and the tractor engine off, from above align the hole in the top part of the deck by the gear box with the nut of the blade and remove it. Use the brass or wood punch and a hammer and tap the splined bolt out. It's easier if someone from below holds the fairly heavy blade, and voila! it's halfway done! Intall the blades in the reverse. Lube the pivot and the bolt before installation that way the blades tend to balance themselves earlier when they fan out. <br>

While you're under there be sure to retighten the main nut on the gear box shaft

Different parts of the country have been known to vary in price. You need to do a check in your range that you would be willing to travel (and ABLE to travel) if you need warrenty work. Your dealer will be a important part of your purchase.
Do your self a favor and take the time to walk into the dealerships and meet face to face with a salesman. Compare Apples to Apples! This is extremely important. Everything I MEAN EVERYTHING! should be included in your qoute that you plan to compare. Little things add up fast.
I found as much as $3600 difference when buying my tc40 and the funny thing was that some were not qouting apples and apples. They left out a few items I wanted qouted on it. Finally, I would start by calling and talking to a salesman, set up an appointment so they are ready (or atleast let them know you will be coming and around when.
IMO This will determine if they prepair themselves.
Make sure your comfy with the dealership, if not jump ship and pay a bit more at one you are comfortable with.
