You may want to consider September instead. Weather is a little more predicatable in your favor then. North Dakota is pretty simple for weather in October. It could be in the 70's and sunny. You could get a snowstorm. It's a crap shoot. I'd also look at what you want to do as many touristy stuff shuts down after Labor Day weekend.

I have a friend that does a Black Hills motorcycle trip the weekend after Labor day as the weather is usually decent, stuff is still open, but the crowds aren't there.

Having lived in Norther Idaho, I'd say you'd be ok depending on what you want to do. Probably early for skiing. But the mountain passes may get snow, may be fine. Check the elevation of what/where you want to go. It will be cold the higher you go. Otherwise, Idaho is beautiful country. Hiking would be good as long as the weather holds.

My wife is an engineer and accounts for about 50% of our income. I left engineering about 1.5 years ago. So as you can imagine, one of us losing a job has an impact. We're still evaluating and will just have to see. I'm within 30 miles of Des Moines, so I should be able to find a job if I stay here.

We'll go to Michigan next week and check it out. After that, they'll be wanting a decision.

I bought a 1994 F725 with 380 hours on it. I noticed the radiator overflow tank coolant level doesn't change when I am mowing and the engine is warmed up. The radiator is full and the tank is at the right level. Shouldn't the coolant level fluctuate when the engine warms and cools?

I just completed the 100 hour service on my BX-23. After checking the torque on the front wheels, I noticed the bolts had slipped by as much as 2-3 turns. I've never seen this much slippage on my cars (1/2 turn at most) and therefore was a bit surprised to see it on the Kubota. The rears were still at the correct torque spec.<br>

Torque was to spec during the 50 hour service, so the slippage must've occurred recently. My only explanation is that I've been running in four wheel drive for at least the past 50 hours (lots of dirt work) and the stress on the front wheels must've been higher.<br>

My torque wrench is calibrated properly, as verified on the rear wheels and three other vehicles in my garage.<br>

I've down almost exactly what Murf is recommending for my building.

I went with thick plastic under the following: 8 x 16 x 1 blocks about 20 inches from the perimiter of the building. Between the blocks and the building colored lava rocks.

This solved two issues - mud splashing up on the side of the building, and I can easily mow around it, as there is an 8" buffer of block between the rocks and the grass.

i have closed the knob under the seat and opened it etc, the arms dont go up or down , and i think they arent holding my backhoe up either, just the brackets
if i put the 3 point lever to the front or rear nothing happens, no whirring sounds or anything

This sounds exactly like an auction I won on ebay. The item was a CNC milling machine. The seller offered free shipping. I told him I wanted to pay him in person and truck it myself. I never heard from him again. I didn't loose any money.

Looking at a 2000 model year unit with about 1000 hours on it for $2500. Its a far cry from a Rhino 450 (my true wish) but it is 1/3 the $$. I think it will be able to do 90% + of what I want. (Garden-Barn trips, garbage and mail runs on the 1/2 mile driveway, ect.)<br>

eHydro? If I'm reading the chart correctly that's a flywheel speed sensor error. When it occurs the cruise control and loadmatch will be disabled.

From several rumors, I would put money on a Honda side-by-side at September's show. In fact I WILL put money down soon to be one of the first to own one. It will have either a Rincon or Rubicon drive train, and the Rubicon versitility is desired. However, give me all independent suspension! Don't like belt drive systems!
