I paid $17800.for my 3030 HSDC last october, deduct the cab and i paid approximately $12800. The B3030 is an awesome machine,tons of power,good balance,easy to operate, and the factory cab is quite nice!

They use a hydraulic clutch system which has been problem free. They are a smaller unit simular to a farm tractors system.

Compared to new the price isn't bad and you could add the newer full frame mount backhoe from Kubota which is about as good as it gets.

I still can't get the deal done Stephen! I'm shooting for the price of 12,500 that has been discussed here but I'm being told I'm to low! He's looking for 16,500 and the other dealers are at 14,500 and he's not buying yet. This tractor is the GST model and not dented or abused although a bit fades and as I said the deck has only mowed a couple of times in it's life.

The 250AS goes for about 3000 depending on condition. I got mine at an auction last year with a well worn box blade and a scrape blade for $2900. I run a 5' bush hog and have plenty of power. Make sure you use an over-running clutch. Mine runs good, has awkward controls and a big turning radius. It does useful work. The 3ph is rated at 1350lb. Belarus.com has specs.

The Volvo's pickup coil was rusted in and I had to replace the whole distributor also. With the Volvo it was mucho dinero.

The relay for the fuel pump could easily be intermittent also. I have had relays acting in a similar manner.

I'm a native of SE Mich. and a contractor. And guess where I have been working for the past 7 months---Mississippi. And I can't tell you how many fellow Michiganders I have met down here working al for the same reason. There is just not enough work there. The economy is different on the west shore than the east for sure but Michigan's economy in general is the worst in the nation (google Michigan State of the economy). There is no predicted hope for a rebound---if anything it will get much worse. And the taxes are by far the worst in the nation (we have many on the welfare roles and Benton Harbor has its share too). And high union wages in our area drive high housing costs. And if you're into snow you'll love it---the lake-effect snow is measured in feet. Seriously think my friend about moving there. By the way I have no plans on moving back and yet I have my base operations still there. (I'm not living the high life down here by any means---in a 29' camper that went through the hurricane flooded in 33' of water)---but it beats not having much work back home.

And yooperpete, lower Michigan is not mostly flat and that's coming from a mislabled "flatlander" as you "UP-ers, eh?" like to call us.

Yes one valve that has 4 ports. That squealing noise is likely fromthe relief valve having fluid passing through it. Do that long enough and the oil will become aerated and the pump will cavitate and wear out soon after that.

I just bought 5 cords of log rolls, and the 8.5 hp 33 ton splitter has no problem with the huge Paul Bunyon size stuff they sent me (Maple and Ashe). I split numerous green 30" diameter logs, no problem.

Have you thought of using voltage converters that run off 12v car batteries? I considered using a generator for my construction company for running 9" grinders, 2hp compressor, and a 5.5 peak hp shop vac (not all at the same time). I ended up buying a 3500/5500 power convertor off e-Bay for less than $200 and installed it under my truck's passenger seat (it's about the size of a large phone book). Having this setup is very handy--I even run my electric impact wrench off it for road side repairs, or for camping.

I forgot to say that I've got turf tires and use chains. I had to make spacers for the wheels so that the chains would clear the fenders.

Thanks for the tip.

I have finally made a decision on what to do. I have ordered an inverter (tig) from a local shop. I got a chance to putz with one, and found that it would suit my needs quite nicely, at least for the short haul - perhaps indefinitely.

Now I just need not be so anxious for it to arrive. (dealer was out of stock of new units at the time, so I needed to order it). Then, I will get to play with it !!!!!

i already have the generic top link replacement from tractor supply. the threaded portion is much thicker than the original kubota one i need parts for. it seems to fit fine. i did have to grind a little off for it to fit into the bracket on the tractor.
still looking for a replacement part to restore the original top link to service.
