Reason for adding weight is as follows. I have a moderately sloped field lined, unevenly, with trees on two sides and more trees in the middle. This field makes me do a lot of manuevering close to objects, so I take off the front loader. It's also very bumpy so I've added ballast to the wheels to help out with the hopping. The ride is much better with the ballast, but when I use my beefy land pride rotary mower, combined with the added weight in the tires, I'm short on steering control in several areas as I head uphill and need to maneuver. The front loader mounting brackets to the frame infringe on the ability to bolt on the bracket for the suitcase weights. The dealer doesn't know what to do either. Just says, "you'll have to fabricate something". This is why I'm asking.

Thanks for the review and report of your feed shaft problem. I inspected mine which only has about 1/2hr use to see what I could do to prevent the failure. Mine has a grease fitting on the female slip shaft and both male and female are drilled to feed the square flex joints.Problem is the long hole in the male retards flow so one square doesnt get fed. I both drilled the male shaft larger and restricted the hole in the female. Drilling the hardened shaft requires carbide,but you can probably get by restricting the female end with a 1/16 orifice.

TO set the float you turn the carb upside down with the bowl off and make sure the float is level with the base of the carb. Most Honda's have a plastic float and are GENERALLY not adjustable. If it has a tin float you simply bend the tabs that holds the needle valve.

Take a good close look at the F-150 sales for this year. Ford is having problems as well as Chevy. They have been trying to onlyu live off of their PAST reputations and not much else. Look at Dodge and its figures and you will see Dodge closing the gaps Big Time and we are in the Black and NOT in the RED.

I have a JD185 riding mower I just bought. It has 17 hp Kawasaki engine. Engine races up and down. I tried cleaning carb with cleaner and changed spark plug. ANy ideas? THanks<br>

And by the way, the only reason they exist is because us dumb ol' Americans have been stupid enough to spend more on their defense than they spend on their entire domestic programs.

Though our liberties are slipping away, I'll take my freedoms ahead of free healthcare or right-to-work or whatever socialist crutches those countries are famous for. I say, we're # 1.

P.S. I know none of you here are saying we're inferior to thouse countries but I had to have my rant anyway ;)

I spoke with the Cornell Agricultural Extension service on this. They said if I cut 3 branches with a mix of good growth and the disease - and I deliver the branches to them during their office hours - for $8 they will diagnose the disease and make a recommendation on how to handle it. Sounds like a plan to me!

Thanks all for the suggestions. I purchased a new backpack Stihl blower that surprisingly does a great job. I had an older blower, but not near the power this new Stihl has. I demoed a pull behind rotary sweeper and way to much dirt and gravel flying.

If you are only going to be using it for animal food plots you will likely be happy with it.

We tried one similar a few years back for planting cover crops, sacrificial crops that will later be disced under, planted merely to stop erosion on the land we are working on.

The ATV did the job very quickly, but the bumpy ride meant a VERY uneven seed distribution, and so a very spotty germination and growth pattern that couldn't be 'touched up' without driving back over everything.

Eventually we just went back ot using a seed drill with a grass box on it.

Off the top of my head it sure sounds like you have a 2 hydraulic hoses reversed and are thus pressurizing the return line.

That's similar to what I did a few years back, except mine mounts to the utility frame (my picture # 18) that I replace the bucket with, and the mount is not into the 2" receiver directly, I made a 3pth couple so I can mount any 3pth implement on the FEL.

Also, by mounting it via a 3pth adapter on the FEL it is very stable and can be used without having to rest it on the ground, this allows me to, for instance, set it level with the tailegate of a truck or trailer and split the wood by just sliding it into the splitter. This also allows me to work standing up instead of bent over.

Anyone have a good idea of a fair price of a 2006 3520 Ehydro R4 tires 300 CX loader.Is list less 15% what can be expected as a "good deal"?If it is, any suggestions on how to negotiate to that discount level. Also, I know there are<br>

There's different ways to check for bubbles: pull the dip stick and inspect the oil on the stick; remove the hyd. filler cap and using a flashlight peer into the tank/reservoir if possible; or with loader full down so you don't get hurt, crack-open one or both lift cylinders and look for aerated oil.

What's the chance you were low on fluid to begin with and operated the loader at a steep angle? If yes, then I feel you starved the pump and permanently damaged it. But this should be easy to check by performimg a pressure test. I wouldn't necessarily take the word from a technician who said he checked it.

I'm 5' 11" and 210 lbs. and have not bumped my head on the existing ROPS yet. The seat keeps me about 1 foot forward of the ROPS. I would suggest that you at least try using the back hoe with the existing ROPS before deciding whether its worth the cost of replacing it.

I'd re-think using a manual shift trans with a loader. Hydro is the way to go if you can afford the added cost---but in the long (and short) run it's worth it.
