Neil can you E_mail me a price on an RTV with a full cab, heat, winch, radio, all the extra lighting, heavy duty springs, glove box, under hood tray, speedo, strobe light, and well basically every option available. the company I work for now will most likely be buying 3 or 4 units. We have one now that they got from Antietam. Needless to say they will not buy another one from them. Also could you get me a price on a Service manual and parts book.

I too chose the L3400 (gear) over the B7800. In my situation the L was about $1200 cheaper.

If you have to add air then you must have a leak. This will cause the rim to rust. You might try to lubricate the linkage.

I agree with earthwks Compact Equipment is generally more for contractors and rental. This was the first issue that had I have see that had info more for the TP set, thus I posted links.

Sharbin, the 301 uses Hygard transmission and hydraulic fluid in the transmission. The differential, axles, and transmission all are one big reservoir for the hydraulics. You fill it at the cap just behind the seat and the dipstick is at your right heel as you sit in the seat.

Sooner THAN later, we will be at that cross road. A squeeky

New Holland has been making them for years in the large tractors call Bidirectionals---you can even have a loader on the "rear". They had a lot problems with the control cables losing adjustment since the entire inside of the cab---seat, dash and controls rotate over 200 degrees.

And back in the 30's and 40's enterprising guys would take existing tractors and turn them into forklifts. You can see a lot of the regular tractors in Case's line of Construction King forklifts made even in the 1980's.

I can't see how saving a few cents per gallon is worth losing your warranty and possibly thousands of dollars in repairs.

lbrown, if "Nothing around here." is a correct statement, then your fuel distributor is dumb as a stump!

It actually costs about $0.10 a gallon more to make on-road fuel than off-road fuel, so why use the good stuff when it sells for the same price as the cheap stuff?

In other words, why would the fuel man intentionally toss away an extra $0.10 a gallon? Especially considering the dismal markup they get these days anyway?

Build a small stand the same height as your lowered tail gate and simply roll the tank out of the pick up right on to the stand. No need to lift and lug on the drum or get out the tractor to load and unload it this way.<br>

Ok, PAS, your latest comments help a lot. Since you muck out the stalls using a wheel barrow, leaving the MMM on with a loader shouldn't be a problem. I do that at my place. That way you can put the MMM on in spring and leave it until the grass is done in fall. It also helps with eyesight using the MMM vs a rear mount mower.

Your barn width shouldn't be an issue either. When it comes to dealers, a good salesman will take the time to understand your specific setup, your medical condition and work to find a solution that works best for you. A good one will also let you try the model out. Maybe not at your place, but to try the controls and see how they work with your MS. If they have a good used stock selection, they may even loan you one over a weekend to get real use knowledge.

The top 3 manufacturers, JD, NH, Kubota are all pretty good stuff. The one with the best dealer for making sure you are set up ok and taken care of should get your business. I drive green but they employ the CFO. Otherwise, those Kubotas looked pretty nice and so did the Case/NH stuff.

That is not only a very dangerous and misleading statement to make, it's WRONG. Close, but WRONG.

Home heating oil and # 2 diesel are "chemically" the same thing, both being 'middle' distillates, in the same range of length of carbon chain, around C15 to C18 range, but that is all.

Diesel fuel has a much lower level of sulphur, and a MUCH lower ash content, as well as being far lower in things like water, parafin, and other contaminents.

Running a diesel engine for long on home heating oil can end up being a VERY expensive lesson in false economics.

Most petroleum distributors require a minimum of 250 gallons to deliver in my area.

Here it's 150 Gal. but there are various ways around that.

First, Rolltide, bear in mind, a standard steel 55 gallon drum weighs about 35 pounds, the diesel fuel will weigh another 7 pounds per gallon, for 55 gallons, 385 pounds, plus the drum, for a total of about 420 pounds. That's a lot of weight to jockey around and place.
