Thanks, the problem was filter was plugged and the hyd. oil was filthy. Working fine now. Are you the one that can get the manuals?

I used a middle buster with my JD4100 to dig a 300' trench about 12" deep so that I could run ethernet cable in 1 1/2" irrigation pipe. Worked just fine although I did make several passes to get the depth right. Only problem I had was that it rained between the time I dug the trench and had to go back and cover the whole shee-bang back up with my rear blade. THAT was a mess and took twice as long!

Sorry this reply was to DRankin, not to good at typing and when I went back to look who responded my post got deleted so I went off memory and posted it wrong.
Again thanks to all for responding, usally I just surf thuis site to find info, but it is great to get responces to questions from people who know and have been through similar situations.
DRankin your probably right IF the tractor weighs about 7700# and trailer weighs 3500# I will need a bigger truck, I can"t really justify that expense.
I have to figure something out soon cause the garbage pile kinda annoys my wife and kids.

lbrown59, I have scanned all of the responses, therefore, please forgive me if I repeat something that has already been suggested.<br>

I am an electric utility engineer and quite offen we are ask to remove or relocate a guy wire. If I could see a layout of how the poles and anchors are placed I could advise as to the neccessity of the guy wire in question. Generally, if the route deadends or makes an angle on the pole (>5deg) a guy wire and anchor are required.<br>

Since you have talked to your cable company and can't get a response, try the electric company that owns the route. If the cable company has rights to occupy the pole space then they should be able to also attach a guy wire to the power company's anchor. If the power company's anchor is a double or triple eye, its easy to tell by the grooves in the eye of the anchor, the cable company could relocate to this anchor. A simple process that would take longer to drive to the site than do the work.<br>

If this failed to work, then I would contact the state or local government agency that regulates the cable company. It maybe different than that of the electric company as cable companies are not considered a utility unless they also provide telephone. Be sure that you have documented your attempts to contact the cable company.<br>

In some instances we will refuse to make an adjustment to a guy wire, but this is rare. We do charge the customer but unless a new pole is involved these charges are only a few hunderd dollars. If a pole is involved this can quickly grow to a few thousand.<br>

There is the possibility that the cable company doesn't have rights to attach to the power company poles. If this is the case the power company should deal with the situation.<br>

Hi, New to this board but have important question. Can anyone tell me what a good price for a B3030 with 60"mmm,FEL,and BH with R4 tires, in the western New York area,(ie:Buffalo,NY area). Also, does anyone have any experience with the local dealers in this area. I really want to get the B3030 but may settle for a B7800 if the price is to high on the B3030. I have 50+acres,mow 5,rest ponds and woods.Will be slowly clearing some trees,stumps,etc. and cutting avg.20 cord wood/yr. Land is mostly flat. I would appreciate any pricing info. anyone can give or email me with same if you want. Thanks

Earthwrks I made no statements here saying that you couldn't run another brand oil. I in fact enjoy people who do! That keeps my shop running because it does take it's toll after a while and if it's a engine failure or a chassis failure that's fine!!!! We get to fix it! I here people raving about Shell Rotella for tractors and that is great because it was designed for engines that run at less then 50% of load and rpm both in the trucking and autos so I know it helps the tractor dealers in the long run.

You bring up a good point. I wonder how you should indicate or warn for such as a fuel line. If it the dedicated type material that does to the trained person. But galvanized pipe can be used for water, air or gases. Also black pipe is used for air and gases. I think either is fine by code but either way know both are done with the metal pipe.

I don't think the rigid copper is used for anything other than water but copper tubing is used for propane and natural gas and water lines in slabs.

A QUICK WARNING. It is not normal in my part of the world but in some areas the water lines were used for an electric ground connection. If you break the metal pipe with PVC you need to take care of the ground circuit.

I also live in Iowa and I have a 4310. I have the block heater installed, but haven't used it since I bought the tractor 2 winters ago. She fires right up if you use the glow plugs. Great running tractors.

I love the 72" MMM as it cuts down the mowing time by over 50%. Congrats on your new toy!!

you're talking about getting a 12K tractor for just mowing 3 acres of property. Isn't that an overkill? A good solid garden tractor will do that job just fine for around 6K (Toro and Kubota sell excellent garden tractors). Now if you do get a 12K tractor, then it just makes sense to get the loader for all the reasons yooper listed. I faced the same decision and decided to buy the loader. Also, retail for a unit with a loader will be far greater than without.

Sounds like a sub compact is the right size for you. I think most if not all subs come with Hydro trans. I take it you don't want the gear so much as you want to avoid the cost.<br>

Tilling a 20 by 20 garden is a one time event that will be over in a couple of minutes with a sub, the tiller will cost you 1 to 2 k. You might want to just rent a walk behind tiller.<br>

In terms of slicing as for overseeders, if that is what you mean, an overseeder that you could rent is really heavy and requires a tractor more like a big "L" size Kubota, you can rent an overseeder for about $250 a day plus delivery, buy for over 2k. You could also use a core aerator a good one costs about $1300, a cheap one $400.<br>

The Red Devil was made in South Dakota.
American Equipment made the product.
The problem had to do with some welding, crooked.
Bought from Ludens equipment, also in South Dakota. Had it
shipped to Oregon.
