$Stone; If you are speaking of liquid in the front tires at roughly a 75-80% fill you aren't going to be adding enough extra weight to cause any problems. Lots of folks like myself seldom if ever take the front end loader off and so far I've not heard of anyone having front axle or wheel problems. My point being that the liquid weight you can get in a front tire is only a fraction of the weight of a loader. Frank.$ Ballast loading front wheels on 4020 series

You say the heater core cools down quikely when the blower is turned on, sounds like the core is restricting the flow of coolant. flushing the core doesn't always fix the problem of having been plugged, forcing water through a couple of good passages can fool you to think that it flows good throughout, plus you already have it torn apart. unless you have a restriction somewhere else in the heater hoses, I'd say it is the core.

We had the problem in the Mojave. Thorns in all the 3 wheeler (I hate dating myself) and motorcycle tires. They make or did make a thorn resistant tube it is about 3X as thick as a regular 1.

Not sure if would help with sticks. But me thinks if it is a stick, slime not gonna help either.

Also if thick tubes not avaiable try a tube with a another tube over it to add protection.

You might also look up Dennis Kirk off road tires and there was/is a motorcycle 4 wheeler one (can't remember name, CRS?) with off road desert stuff.

I was going to change the fuel filter, but that dang thing is tight!! Where do I relieve the pressure at, any other tips? Also, where do I bleed the air out of the system prior starting the tractor?<br>
I just read that I was supposed to have a screen to filter the fuel when adding it, I don't have one of those. Sheesh I better figure some of these things out.<br>

Well, I was changing the oil in the 25 hp yesterday and when I cranked it up, I noticed coolant dripping. Upon inpection I found the problem. The Rubber bent pipe (part Y480G-11001) was split. My question, do I need to order this exact part, or will a regular radiator type hose work for me?<br>

Cub Cadet was bought by MTD. As far as I know there are still dealers. Art White who is a member here did handle them, but as a Kubota and IH dealer I am not sure how many he sells.
My friend that is a Cub dealer here does not handle the larger tractors. There is a minimum order and he is a feed, farm and lawn tractor business. He finds it difficult to find a diesel mechanic and sell the minimum order in the year.

Sorry guys....I made a few errors in my post. First of all, I used 3 inch OD .25 wall square tubing for my lower rails....not 4 foot :) My bridge is 24 feet long and 46 inches wide. The upper rails are made of 1.5 inch OD .1875 wall square tubing. The cross planks are made up of treated 2x6 wood. I looked for my original specs but couldn't find them so I went down to the pond and measured. I built it about 2 years ago and believe it cost around $1100 to build it.

The problem ended up being the main battery cable and the dealer replaced it. I got it back just in time to dig my pond out before the rain. Thanks to all who helped.

In Tennessee, off road and Ag diesel are treated differently. Off road diesel can be purchased by anyone at the pump and only the state and govt. taxes are exempt. Sales taxes are STILL paid on off road diesel. Ag diesel is exempt from sales taxes in addition to the other taxes. In order to obtain Ag diesel; you must fill out paperwork at the petroleum distributor proving you are qualified to purchase Ag diesel. Usually with Dept. Agriculture farm # or schedule F on your income tax return. The diesel comes out of the same pump or truck, but depending upon if it is being called off road or Ag diesel makes a difference of about 9.75%.

BX 24 listed for $16,600.00 in Plastow, NH. Could only get them down to $16,300. I bought it anyway. So far it seems like a very capable little machine. This is from someone who just parted with a Caterpillar 416B.

Kioti is something like 3 or 4 forth in sales in the US. I have not heard anything bad about the engines. Considering the volume of sales we have had relatively few problem posts.
The term gray market is used tractors for Japan or Korea which are imported here. Some makers have tried to limit or supress their importation as they do not meet the safety requirements.
I have not heard of Mitsubitsi engines in Masseys. I thought they were mainly Iseki in the compact range.

I guess I stirred the pot some. But that is ok. I'll stir it somemore I suspect.

When I stated Brakes are not for steering or maintaining course. It is a solid statement. If the conditions are so slippery you have to depend on your brakes to keep on course you are outside of the safe operating parameters. If your front end is so light and you have to depend on your brakes to steer or maintain course you are outside safe parameters. Try pulling a 16' harrow up a sidehill with a old Farmall or JD with no front weights and you'll know what I am talking about. I've been there and done that. ITS NOT SAFE! I'd NEVER PUT AN INEXPERIENED PERSON IN THAT POSITION.

Sorry about the comment on the 400 my first thought is a Farmall 50 years old now. I do not know of anyone who has not replaced brakes on these that sidehill farms.

Can you use a brake to help make a turn with out the front end pushing out? Yes by all means. However it needs to be at a reduced speed and not by locking the brake to skid the tire.

I'll stand by the comment about OPERATORS and WEEKEND COWBOYS... There is a big difference in careful operation that gets the job done and the wham bam I bought so I can do it anyway I can...

Locking the brake to make a hard turn is abuse. Using the brake to assist in a turn is not.

I did a little looking on the web and stopped to look through the fence once. They opened a dealer near here and another toward Florence AL.<br>
They are a import company that is selling tractors built by LG out of south Korea. The engines are Mitsubitsi and Daedong. Mitsubitsi are sold here as grey market and new as Club Cadet. Daedong is sold here as Kioti. <br>
I am not sure what the prices are like but would compare to the Kioti. What I saw of them I did not think they were as clean in fit and finish as the Kioti, Deere or Malhindra built in Korea.<br>
Kioti is like Kubota in that it builds all the components for their machines. Only the largest have do not their engines but Perkins diesels.<br>
LG is a big company. They build everything from electronic to injection molding machines, like Hyundai. The only problem is the trading company. At some time LG will likely decide to squeeze out the traders. This is what has happened in electronic and what happened with Kioti.

Weaver may have had beleifs that were different from you or me, but he wasn't a NUT. Maybe he was a little to overboard in some of his beleifs but that is all based on perspective.
Look up why there is a shot gun length law, find out how old that law is and do we really still have a problem with short shotguns? The point was that Weaver was on trial for what was 1 inch of barrel length? wow! people died for a inch of barrel? That made the shotgun a much shorter range and possible screwd it up ballistically. Barrel lengths are as much a part of the design as any other part. Not allowing the gas pressures to peak and stay behind the projectile for a longer period of time would cause the velocity to be far less than designed and range would be decreased big time.. so what was the problem? ATF looking for a fight? I have heard some real Horror stories about these wannabes, how they have battered doors down without warrants and roughed people up. Being an ATF agent to some of their memebers gives them an SS attitude.

Vermont has NO GUN CONTROL LAWS, you can wear a six gun if you want and walk into a bank or a store, no laws against it at all. During Hunting season it is very common to see Guns in resturants etc. We also have a legal right as passed by law to "SHOOT TO KILL TO PROTECT LIFE OR PROPERTY". We are very rural; and have had some brutal murders by people coming up from the city and it was decided that if people had to wait for the cops to show up under the ole equal force laws, people were dead. So the law was passed and Liberals thought the sh-- was going to hit the fan, it didn't. We have a low crime rate here. I have a loaded 9mm Berretta in the car, the law says it can not be chambered but the magazine can be full and inserted.
Morton Grove Ill. passed some rigged Gun Control Laws, years ago and there violent crimes escalated. Lake City Fla, decide that with Gun Laws criminals don't read laws or abide by them and would continue thier sprees, decided to make it mandatory for everyone to own a Gun. Their crimes plummneted.
If I was a criminal I would break into a house where I knew there was strict gun control laws and not one where I knew the residents were armed and knew how to use their firearms.
