There's no need for a fancy system to insure it loads the truck fully.

Dump the grass into the front of the dump box then periodically tip the box up without unlatching the tailgate. The wieght of the grass liding to the back of the box will accomplish some pretty good compaction all by itself.

Congrats on the purchase! I still love mine, about a year old now. One thing I have found...as bulletproof as the engine is on my Foreman, I don't like that I have to pull the plastic shield off to check the oil...did they correct that yet? And, I've already torn my seat cover with a tree stand. The material is VERY thin, and I haven't found an affordable replacement yet (other than the duct tape presently on there!)

I am looking at purchasing a used 2001 DK45 w/FEL & 8' 6" Backhoe and the seller wants around $19k with 300 hours. Is this a fair price? Does anyone know what a new DK45 w/FEL & backhoe sells for? I just sold my third Kubota tractor that had a 32 hp diesel and was looking for a slightly larger tractor. I have always had good luck with the Kubota's, but I am having difficulites in justifying their premium.

Both of the models NH you have are a bit heavier then some of the competitiion and I don't have one here to test other then on snow and ice right now but in low range I'm sure you should be able to spin. Are the tires loaded?

Hard to believe that no one has answered your question yet. All Yanmars with four wheel drive are "D" models. The 1700B has improved instrumentation ( dashbouard gauges ), extra fender coverage, larger operator platform ( extra footroom ), maybe a factory waterpump, inproved fusebox, etc. I have never seen a 1700BD but I have seen 2000BD's. No reason for there not to be any, consider yourself lucky if you have one. I have a 2000B and wouldn't part with it for love or money.

Doing a little research on the Liberty CRD real life I see people claiming 25 mpg combined. This is the 4X as it is only available in the 4x. The EPA numbers on the same models with the V6 are 19. I guess that is about 31%. The torque numbers of both engines are similar.
The number I calculated from the Australian and European combined numbers was 33 for the Hilux/Tacoma. US EPA numbers are about 23.5. I calculate that to be a 40.4% increase.
The Toyota engine is likely a more efficient design than the US Detroit Diesel in the Liberty.

I think we can trace the modern credibility gap of senior politicians, back to Ike and his doctrine of plausible deniability. To him it did not matter what he did as long as he could deny responsibility or knowledge and it was plausible enough for the public to believe it. Unfortunately his work in the war had tied him to the intelligence community and deception became common place and acceptable. I think you will find that they all have used it since.<br>
DR I guess you hit a note with me. There are a number of people in this country that spend time listening to rushite talking heads. Rather than talking about right and wrong they seem to want to talk about shades of evil. I believe the parties are equally corrupt, you just have to dig a little harder to find the republican's agenda. Personally someone like Rush or Cunningham standing on moral superiority makes me sick.<br>
I can not tell you that Clinton�s peccadilloes undermined the moral fiber of the country more than Reagan or Bush. I am not sure they had prior data on the oral sexual conduct of children to compare with. Seems to me that my Californian room mates had some bizarre stories when I was in university 28 years ago and this was long before the Clinton. I know the Iran contra drug running definitely affected the moral fiber in the 80�s. Although I grew up in a high drug area, thanks to the hippies and draft dodgers from California, there was no cocaine until the 80�s and the pipeline was opened.<br>
Sin is sin and the moral nature of the country suffers everytime respected leaders, play dirty. Personally I think the things done in secret are far more damaging than those in the light.

That's what I was thinking - but I think I need open center, correct? I'll look for the factory kit first, before I start rolling my own. My dealer keeps say, use the FEL, otherwise I can get you _1_ remote for $800.

Would I get into trouble oversizing the valve, as long as it is within reason, say, 15 or 20 gpm, and not 100? Otherwise I'll look for 10/12. The BH90 connections have 3/4 on them.

In normal house wiring, the neutral is bonded to the box where the main disconnect is located and a ground conductor runs from the neutral bar to the ground rods. (as in 2 ground rods, 10' apart.) The neutral and ground never come in conatact again. However, when a sub-panel is power in a different building, you can run a three-wire curcuit and bond the nuetral in the sub-panel and run a ground conductor from the neutal bar to ground rods driven at the building where the sub=panel is located. BTW: Never use smaler than #6 copper for a gound conductor. Number * is legal for a 100 amp service, but it requires mechanical protection (conduit), where as #6 does not require protection.

The demand for the 1500 has not been high enough to justify the costs for design enhancements. Kubota will still be building two cylinder engines just not for the BX1500 other then for replacement.

The enigne at an idle that doesn't run up to temperature will still be wearing out. Some harvesting tools currently have two hour meters, one for the machine and one for the hours on the engine.

Kens Tacoma milage discussion has turned to the Tundra. Out of curiosity I turned to the Toyota site and looked at the picture. I looked at the chassy pictures, which brings up the question, what are the Japanese thinking of?<br>
The leak springs on the new Tundra are angled in at the back.<br>
Is this the Toyota Corvair? How is this going to affect the stearing on bumpy roads?<br>

The only Toyota I have owned was a Previa. The back springs were coil, but the trailing arms were angled in. This meant that when you got on a bumpy Ontario or New England secondary road the back end was stearing you the wrong direction.<br>

In general the Japanese have not followed proper suspension dynamics. Subaru (2 wheel), Nissan and Toyota have done some goofy and dangerous things that I know of.

Are there limitations to synthetics for introducing them to high mileage vehicles?
Some years ago, I switched everything over to Shell Rotella T15-40. I have not had any difficulties, however just curious.
I am aware that some oil products, strictly package for high mileage vehicles, and that the introduction of synthetics after a certain age/mile marker, is either too late to adequately perform for engine longevity, or too costly to get involved with...or both.

recently a good friend switched to Mobil 1 in his Chevy 1500 plow truck. He says he can hear the difference when it is running. I would like to think that he could not, as this truck is nearly new...I just shrug my shoulders with questions posed

Sounds like a good candidate for a B7800 or 7610. Small enough for the lawn, big enough for the pasture. Just anouther opinion.

Your budget limit is going to make things very tough. Maybe an old Ford -N series or similar antique with a 4 or 5' rough cutter would do the pasture and a 'big box' throw away lawn tractor for the finish mowing of the yard. At this I think the $5000 will be blown by a bit.

Option 2: Use the $5k down on a new CUT (Kubota B, NH-TC, JD 4x10 series?) and do it all with one machine.

Sorry for all your proplems, There are to many contractors out there that are fly by nights. I pride myself on repeat custermers, I personally feel that it is easier to keep your exsisting paying custermer than finding new ones. I even have custermers that I go back to that if the GC went there he would be shot. Have I been taken yes at my own house I hired an excavator for the septic , paid him in full ,he did about 3/4 of the job and I had to fire him and pay onther guy 1000 to finish with only a week left on my construction load. The first guy thretend to put a lien on the house if I didnt pay for extras witch included a seacond waste tank because he broke the first. I had to pay him because the bank wouldn't tranfer me to an long term low interest loan without a lien free waiver. After all this I have learned have written contract for both my buesness and my house
