Sounds to me like you may pinched some wires when you put the FEL back on. Some them hang down pretty low in the area where the loader sits on the frame.

Newbie,
I'm in central WV. Bought a TC29 over five years ago, and have had good experiences with it. It has about 600 hours or so on it. It is big enough to handle a 5' brush hog, 5' finish mower or a 6' box blade. Also plow, disc and till with it and occasionally use it with a 3-point hitch (3ph) backhoe.

I don't have a FEL; paid about $13500 for the new tractor. Mine is the S model with standard transmission. I saw some better deals on the internet, but went with the local dealer (which was still 90 minutes away).

Good luck with your tractor purchase, and be careful with that logging. Lots of people hurt that way.

You can if you want, I take Simistraten Lipitor, and Niaspan and another one. I have had my docotr play with the prescriptions and the doses for 6 years now.
I did an experiment for giggles, I stopped taking my Mega Doses of Vit C and Lysine for a full 3 months. I went in for my blood tests the my numbers had shot up. The Doctor wanted to change doses again and I said "No wait, let me go back to my other diet" I didn't tell him what I had done, I went back on my mega doses and the numbers plummeted. You can add the Vit C and Lysine and it will NOT kill you. The Human body os the only body that does NOTR make its own Vitamin C and relies on outside sources. You can make your healther BETTER by adding the Vit C and the Lysine and I added the links for people to read and be able to verify what I was saying..
I did a two mile run in under my 23 minutes. I stil have a little shortness of breath and damage to the left Ventricle but the Vitamin E wil help that out.
I merely added some interesting reading for everyone. and if there are Doctors are these boards, I am not slaming you unless you are one of those who goes for the money and not the cure.

Ah! The recal notice was in the mailbox when the house burned? Peters it seems you have a good history with Volvo's have you ever worked on their engines? I rebuilt my boat engine last year and wound up with different crank and pistons and a longer stroke. I couldn't find anything of this in the automotive industry only in the marine which means high parts prices or really high prices! Thanks to Ebay I found the pieces I needed at resonable prices. Nice engines with a lot of beef and built very well.

I have a TC40DA and the pto warning light is on with the main, mid and rear pto levers in the off position. I've checked the main switch and the rear and they appear to be fine, but I can't find the 3rd safety switch. Is it housed in the transmission or rear end somewhere? Any help would be great!

Given time to warm but within actually a half hour or less as agood block heater has done it's job by then a good run is enjoyed by a diesel for a couple of hours nonstop. Now to just run for a hour with cool down? Once in a while fine but not the normal or perfered as much as it's the norm. The thoughts of what you loose vs the gain for the money is well worth it. It's still with the hopes of the perfect life time tractor if properly sized.

I'd first find out the height of the three point hitch and see if it matches the Bush hog. You might never find a loader if needed. Those tractors were build for row cro applications and were mainly used for spraying and cultivation as well as some harvesting.

Most all of the tractor compaines have different chassis sizes for different horsepower groupings. A TZ is not of the same structure as of a TC no different of the DX version vs the DZ in Case-IH or the B and the L-series in Kubota! Some companies go by numbers and some by letters. A larger horsepower small chassis always is more aggressive on PTO work or light loader work then a low horsepower larger chassis as the weight consumes horsepower.

Dave, r-1's dig the best when in softer soil and clean better, where R-4's float more and don't clean as well. On a lawn indusrials often are good enough floation to not stress the turf where ag tires often will.

I've been getting quotes for a B7800 with the 402 Loader (FEL) and a 60" Mid Mount Mower (MMM). Everyone who has quoted has given $16.9k. This is a 30hp tractor with a 3 speed hydro trans and R4 (industrial) tires.

The B7800 is powerful enough to do what you are describing, but small enough to do yard work and woods work.

Now, if I can only talk the budget manager (WIFE) into it...

On the HD trucks you get your power brakes from your steering pump. NOT a vacuum booster. So they are related. My guess would be the check valve was stuck.

Thanks for your help guys. I just bought a new CK30HST with FEL KL130, 2375 backhoe 16" bucket, loaded tires, and delivery for $20,300. The dealer I got it from was considerably cheaper than others I got quotes from. I have only put a couple hours on the tractor, but it appears to be everything I wanted and more.

The Gas Cap is a very common problem, most fuel tanks require a Pressure to build up for proper operation. When the cap leaks or doesn't seal tight or even if someone pumps gas when the engine is running,, Check Engine lite will come on. Misfiring of spark plugs is another. Sensors are fool proof as of yet. If the lite comes on and STAYS on it usually is something stupid, if it FLASHES, pull over ASAP and call a Wrecker.

By no means am I the expert here that Art is. I think you need to consider what you will be cutting and how fast you plan to run with your tractor.

I have a 20 PTO HP CUT and use a 6 foot RFM it does very well as fast as I can drive it, except where my zosyia is real thick. Still cuts fine but at much slower travel speed. This grass is cut weekly. Same grass bogs a 52 inch ztr with 20 hp.
