Are there any good aftermarket (non- John Deere) 'belly' mowers avaialable for the 2210? Local JD dealer wants $1500 for the JD 54" right now and that seems kinda steep! Any other options??

I know how bad it can get. When I lived in northern Minnesota, the watertable was so high, I would get puddles in my basement during wet summers. I used a disk grinder to cut channels in the floor to route the water to the drain. The floor wasn't level and the house over 50 years old with no sump pump and limited drain tile.

I ran a dehumidifier 24/7 with a hold cut in the pan so it dripped right into the drain. Else I'd be emptying it twice a day.

Thanks for your response. I do have a mid-mount PTO and as I mentioned, the two tractors look identical and was told by several seasoned Kubota people that a newer deck would work on the old tractor with a little tweaking-just scared to spend the money on one and can't get it to work.

At this point the up-front costs on a geo-thermal system are prohibative. BUT, the system I am assembling (hopefully) will be upgradable to several differant alternatives in the future if they are perfected.

I was going to bump this thread back up, but you beat me to it. Thanks.

Please feel free to throw out other ideas. This is all good stuff to think about!

I suspect Phillip is alluding to a Deere oddity. Green uses different rear rims for each kind of tire. Not just different widths, but totally different rim sizes. Like 15" for turfs, 16.5's for R-4's and 17's for ag's.

Deere front rims have more cross-over.

Phil..... What size rear rims do you have now? If they are size compatible with SUV/Truck tires you might be able to put something together there.

The 757 and 777 engines are kawasaki engines are indeed very reliable. The F687 uses a Kohler engine.

SG, any structural steel or even welding shop can make them up. For that matter you could do it yourself if you can weld.

They can be built in bolt together sections, but aren't very heavy by the foot anyways. Get full length units and just use a rope to pull them into place. I would think 2 or 3 guys could jockey them into position by hand.

They are just a long bent piece of rebar, sandwiched between 4 pieces of angle iron.

my tractor is a 2000 tc33d I have no 10 AMP FUSE AS THE INFO implies. Must have been some changes. my fuse panel is set up #1 7.5 amp rear pto/ fuel selenoid #2 7.5 amp instrument panal gauges #3 20 amp main light switch #4 15 amp rear work light/hst cruise control - empty spot - #5 15 amp rear hazard flasher lights -empty spot

If I add a front axilliary light should I add a new fuse & circuit? or use one of the others? It a powerful light.

Mark, I knew that you knew I knew that most people don't get cop humor :-). Nurses and doctors, morticians and others who deal with death have their own particular brand of humor.
