Nope, too windy. I get a little nervous working in the woods when 130+ foot fir trees are moving 50 feet at the crown. At least thats what it looked like.

I have a fordson tractor in australia fitted with cast iron rims i am not sure what tyres fit this rim .the measurement across the bead faces is 8.5 inches and the overall rim width is 10 inches , rim diameter 28 inches.

There is no radiused metal edgeing that I am aware of. How about edge it in brick? Just an idea. I recently did a stone drive that way and it turnrd out real nice. Plus brick is cheap or you could go to new construction and pick up the left overs for free. Buliders are usually more than happy to give you stuff that they would have to pay to have hauled off.

Beware of Clean CarFax! I looked at two vehicles for sale that each had a Clean CarFax and both vehicles had been hit in the Driver's door and repainted.
CarFax is a good starting point, but let your eyes and hands tell you for sure. Look for vin# tags on major components such as doors, trunk, hood. Look for signs of overspray and feel edges of body panels for roughness. Everything from the factory was smooth.

Beware of flooded vehicles from Katrina.

www.stormer-tractors.com has loaders for the 650. I've got a model 120 on my 2wd. I don;t know if it works with the 4wd, but I love mine. Hope this helps.

Merry Christmas Everyone - a bit late. I was out of town. Made it all the way to Fargo. But then had to do a sudden packup and bail when I saw the snow storm moving in. Guess I should have checked the weather the night before. Oops. I'm finally back home after 8 days on the road with the wife and baby.

In-laws got me a 3/4" drive socket set for working on tractors. Not much else to report. Merry Christmas!

P.S. - I told people to not get me anything. They still did. My thought was "I have become my parents" as I worked the jigsaw puzzle to see how I was going to fit me, my wife, baby, all the gear, 2 large dogs and all the gifts the baby received into the Expedition for the trip home. I didn't need a Uhaul, but it was tight. I even bought tie-downs to use INSIDE to hold everything together. Argh!!

Thanks again for your help. I have passed along your information to my dad. I was able to find a place that would order the specific repair manual for the tractor pto, so I ordered that for my dad. Hopefully that will help and then if he wants to complete the set, now I know where to go.

Since the afternoon of 12/31 this site is loading like a 56K dialup. Has anyone else had this trouble? I signed on about a month ago but have not upgraded to premium user. Is this what happens if I don't pay for the upgrade?

The front blade hooked to the loader would be something you need to investigate through Curtis or some other plow group. Like yourself, I would like a blade on the loader arms, but have yet to see a cost effective option compared to the front blade itself. That is, a front quick hitch blade is around $1200 for your unit and you will likely double that number trying to get a front blade on the loader. If you do find a cheap option, then I would like to hear about.

I suspect it is a little like the car lines. One plant or line puts out a lot better tire than another although they are under the same company. Many of the plants were very old. I did a lot of work in a old General Tire plant in PA that dated back to 1900. The problems that Firestone had with the tires on the Explorer boiled down to one line in one plant.
