That are not a Ford. They look like it but no where near them. but they do seem to be good tractors from what I hear.

Thanks, have not purchased oil from NAPA in long time. Had been buying Rotella from another parts dealer and other oils from another.

Hi all. Just joined earlier today. This thread is very interesting to me. Ive been thinking of attaching a strobe lite underneath the rops somehow, (Its magnetic but I would secure it also with bolts/clamps), and wondering how to power it. It has a cigar lighter end on it now. Too bad there isnt a receptical on the dash ;-).Any info or suggestions would be appreciated. I too, own an L3130.

If it's what I'm thinkign of, the wine coolers at Home Depot are way too deep to mount on a wall...looking for something with only 6 inches of internal depth....the ones I've seen at home depot are intended for undercounter use...and I'd be surprised if they go down to below freezing which is what I need for freezer mugs...

Ot are you talking about something else? I'd be curious to see it anyways if it's not what I think it is...

I changed from NC Brew because I wanted to start over with a new name. I may visit here later. I will just take a break for awhile. Most of the other answers I got here were very good. I should know there are always a few smart a$$es. And I don't want to get in a jousting match with them. I don't even know what hydralic oil is used in a Kuboto yet. I have not picked up the tractor. And by the way there is no link in my profile. It was only on 1 post.

My older 2003 Wix filter book calls for Wix 51334 (Napa 1334) on the 790.
The current Wix website calls for Wix 51064 (Napa 1064)on the 790.
The only notable differance I can see between 1064 and the 1334 is the bypass valve PSI. Everything else is basically the same.
The 1334 bypass valve setting is 8-11 PSI
The 1064 bypass valve setting is 16 PSI
Punching in the JD m806419 # on the Wix website brings up the Wix # 51064 (same filter as the Napa 1064).
Evidently either filter will work.

I ran a 6' landpride with a side chute on my little 19hp Ford 1500 for 6-7 years. I had no problems as long as I took it easy.

The new 35hp tractor shredded the belt in less than 20 minutes hogging all the grass I could feed it.

More power is not always better.

Almost everyone who wants a tractor has the same problem of deciding on the right size. When I started looking I noticed that all of the late model used tractors at the dealers were the smaller units. Many had mowers and backhoes to match the tractor. They sure were cute and looked like a lot of fun to use and fun was important to me.I had the good fortune to have a dealer that answered my questions honestly, offered good advice and I had the good fortune to believe him. The reason he said that there were so many previously owned little tractors availabled, is that they were too small to do much actual work and after a year or two thay were traded in for a larger size. I bought the Grand L Series and have enjoyed every hour on the meter. I admit I have been up against several stumps and large rocks where I wish I had an even larger tractor but I'm quite happy with my Grand L tractor.

I am in Ky and wired my pole barn in 2004. The inspector told me to run two hot and one neutral to the barn to a panel with a 100amp breaker that feeds a box for 8 breakers. He said I do not need a bare ground wire with the service line to the barn nor a grnd rod to ground the service at the barn. The service is set up with an isolated neutral and the bare wires grounded to the breaker boxes. The two breaker boxes are bolted and grounded to each other. Ky addopted the 2005 NEC code in 2005 so it may be different now. I am going to ask around and see if I need a ground rod and any changes to the way it is hooked up. I am very currious and interested about this now.

As far as I know Cummins owns Fleetguard. I think there may be some financial ties with Dodge and the other brands listed. Companies are not above lying or promoting their product.

BACKBLADE UPDATE
I attached my shackle extender link to the
JM-180 and took to moving 6 inches of snow.
I found that the link still did not allow
enough movement of the blade, and would cut
into the stone driveway.
The best way the blade worked was to dissconnet the
top link and let it float.
Greg, you were right, without the top link you start to
bind the blade when backing up.
Just have to remember not to drive up to
something and then back up as the blade bites in
and I have no more room to go foreward to drop the blade
back down and reattach the top link.

The logging chains have made the 2 wheel drive into
a snow machine. I can drive across the snow covered
grass pulling the blade where the ag tires
would have just spun without even the blade.

I would try a limited slip additive in the hydraulic oil to quiet the brakes. Probably not a good idea to put the additive in until the next oil change.
