If your drive way asphalt is 25 years old and in good shape except for the cutting edges digging in you have an excellent drive.

That said what kind of sealers have you used?

YUP it is a little late in the season to talk sealers. Me thinks a good sealer with AC30 for base or straight would do a lot to bring back the asphalts intregrity. You can not buy this in buckets. It has to come out in a heated tank.

In the mean time I would adjust the top link so the cutting edge does not cut.

It depends on your snow conditions.
I have a 50" Buhler/Allied 2 stage that weighs 402lbs on my 3pt and find I can lug the 2210 down if going into a plow snowbank.
I live in town, and find the 50" width about right for sidwalks.
64" is quite a bit bigger, and I think you may be stretching the limit, but with the hydro tranny, you can probably just ease you ground speed if needed.

The Nortrac 25 hp 4x4 doesn't come with a pre-heater for starting on cold days. Has anyone added it to the tractor and if so what kind? Is it worth it, will I have trouble starting it on days around 10F? I don't see myself using it much this winter, maybe just to move some snow around or something, so I added stabil to the fuel and I plan on running it about once a month for at least 30 min. Should I do anything else to winterize it?<br>

Tractor Supply sells a cheapie vinyl 3 sided windbreaker cab. See my photos. It retails for about $140.00. They have several sizes for small, medium and big. Not all stores carry them but they can be ordered. I'm on my 4th or 5th year with it. It has a universal mounting (cobble to suit).

We need to give careful thought here. It hit me an allergy might qualify us for Federal Aid due to medical condition. However, protecting the "little" children might get us Federal Aid under some after school program.

We may have a qualification we need to be careful the way it is package.

Who knows how much it could be worth. Why if it is an allergy that causes this we might could get it reformated and use it to help the underweight people in this world.

I forgot about the '86 Ford Bronco II my dad owned. HE had loaned it to a friend whose wife was, um, extremely robust. The result was the passenger seat was deformed. Literaly bent and twisted.

It was not the best vehicle. Course, the way I drove it may have been part of the problem. I'm surprised I never rolled it or wrecked it. I used to get it airborn leaving school in an attempt to get by buddy's head to kit he ceiling. I did get his shoulders pinned to ceiling one time. That was neat! I must have been 3 feet in the air on that one.

But one neat thing about it was the short wheel base. So in 4x4 mode on ice, I could get it to drive sideways. Neat trick.

Out ran the city cops in a W.Va. City.<br>
They had a 1957 Plymouth Furry .<br>
I was on the way to a drive-in movie. Stopped at a store came out jumped in the car threw it into reverse throwing gravel then pealing rubber across the sidewalk threw more gravel crossing the strip between the sidewalk and the street then laid more rubber really squalling the tires as they hit the street. Jammed on the brakes throwing it into low gear floored it and popped the clutch squalling the tires again. That's when I saw the red bubble gum machine light up on the police cruiser. He was setting on the other side of the street headed in the opposite direction watching the whole thing.<br>
You might think it takes a lot of nerve to pull a stunt like this right in front of a cop; but it don't if you don't see him. LOL<br>
I thought uh oh and started to stop but when the cop got to the center line and about 3 feet from my side window I changed my mind about stopping. Floored It jammed it into second gear and took off.<br>
The cop had to run back across the street jump in the cruiser and make a u turn to chase after me.<br>
This gave me just enough time to get away from him and I never saw him or the police car again. But I figured he was after me. There was a very sharp 20 MPH turn in the road shortly after I took off. I was coming into this curve at about 65 MPH and my buddy Joe got really scared and kept yelling at me slow down slow down but all I could think of was getting away from that cop.<br>
Here he was pulling up on my right leg trying to get my foot off the accelerator but it wasn't working so he grabbed the ignition key and threatened to turn it off.<br>
( This was the same guy that was always telling me to get on it gun it Etc which I never did do. ) I sure had him singing a different tune that night!<br>
Well, I realized that if he did that the cop would have me so I let off and braked just as we went into the turn. Somehow we made it but I don't know how and we went on to the drive in theater Coming back home Presented another problem as I wasn't about to go back through that town.<br>
The other route I took back home to by pass the town was an extra 25 or 30 miles.<br>
Coming back I was about out of gas didn't have any money so I talked the guy at the gas station into hocking my spare tire for a bucks worth of gas. Went back the next day gave him the buck and got the spare tire back.<br>
We went back to that town the next day in my other car.<br>
We saw the black tire marks from where the cruiser was spinning making a u turn in the street. To chase after us.<br>
Went on up to the sharp turn where we saw 2 narrow black tire marks going around that turn. We must have been up on 2 wheels.<br>

Another Incident:<br>
Sometime after that I was passing a car just before going into a sharp 20 MPH curve on a rainy day.<br>
Got up beside the car and he sped way up so I really gunned it to get around him when I pulled back in I was almost into that turn at 65 MPG. Looked ahead and saw a sheriff car sitting at a stop sign on a side street that connects to the highway in that turn. Thought I was going to roll it right in front of him.<br>
I had taken that curve more than once before at 50 MPH when the pavement was dry with no problem but this time it was different. I was doing 65 on wet rain slicked pavement couldn't use the brakes to slow down as one of them on one wheel was grabbing and locking up the wheel. I was afraid if I used the brakes and that wheel locked up it would throw the car out of control.<br>
I wasn't to concerned about the sheriff watching all this unfold as I had my hands full trying to get around the turn in one piece.<br>
Well, the car slid side ways going clear across the road in the middle of the turn and the back wheel hit the curb. About 50 feet after you come out of the curve there was a set of train tracks crossing the road.<br>
When I hit the curb I looked up and there was the Red rail road crossing lights flashing but fortunately no train in site.<br>
Got across the tracks slowed her down and was back in control when I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the sheriff coming up on me red light a flashing.<br>
Do to vowing to never try to our run a police car again after the first incident related above I pulled of onto the side of the road and waited for him to stop behind me.<br>
Thought he would throw the book at me or least give me a ticket for reckless operation and another ticket for running the red RR Crossing Lite.<br>
I was very luck. All he did was give me a strong lecture and a tongue lashing. Didn't even get a warning slip. Of course I never mentioned the defective brakes to him.<br>

I was never a hot rodder speed demon or a reckless driver but I did make exceptions occasionally as you can see.<br>

Murf; Thanks for the info on a "Face Cord", I'd never heard that term. Between my Dad and two or three uncles of mine they had a buzz saw on the front of an H Farmall and somebody had a big two man chainsaw that never would start. I and some of my cousins used to help drag limbs to he buzz saw when we were kids. Most of the firewood around here is free for the taking if you want to clear some ones fencerow and clean up behind yourself. Mostly elm and soft maple. Frank.

Without going through all the painfull details....

Before an application will even be considered you basically need to be able to show that you have a) experience as a dealer, b)enough cash to buy stock, tractors & parts inventory, c) have a reputable service dept., and d) be in an area NOT alreadty serviced by another Kubota dealer.

The financial considerations alone deter most people, here in Canada I'm told you have to show you have $500k cash in hand before they will even look at your application.

The 404's Are beeing sold through Rural King,I bought mine for a base price of $7999.99...I believe the 25 through 35 HP tractors that Northern Hydraulics sell are Fotons,although some say Jimmas..They are the spitting image of mine.As far as the filters go..I just changed my fluids with filters from Rual King,they didn`t even know what to charge me for them??I am trying how to change to domestic filters,but haven`t figured how to deciper chinese yet.Going to see if I can find either WIX or a BALDWIN web site and ship them a email..I`ll keep you posted...Sid

Bunky, take a look ay my pics. That is a three spool set-up on a 7810. We bought the parts for about $350, including the top'n'tilt cylinders for the 3-pt. All the parts are available from SurplusCenter and other clearance centers. It is a simple P-B circuit for the auxiliary valves.

Since the pictures were posted, We've added a cab and cable remote joystick controls for the auxiliary valves. Even without the cab, the joystick controls is a good addition. Another $189 for the remote joystick set-up.

I just got a 2001 Case 621c and the emergency brake will not hold. It is an electirc switch type but I cannot find an adjustment or anything for it. Please excuse my ignorance but any help would be great! Also can someone lead me in the direction where I can find a service manual for this model as well.<br>

I've often found when working them on steep inclines that those with the most loss on the PTO horsepwer more often then not would out perform those with less loss. Another words before the relief valves would say no more up hill! This is a test that I often like to do and you'd be suprised with the results from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Not sure of the tool in your box but, I would first check the Hydraulic pressure at your remotes if,I'm not mistaken it should be 2350 psi.

The system has a priority valve that should insure you always have steering if, the steering is soft than your pressure could be low.
