I am sure Schneider Electric of Toronto Ontario consider their Application Note on Stand-By generator panels to be just some theory they have dreamed up.

Anyway I think this thread has outlived it's usefulness, I am satisfied that no linemen are going to be fried on my account and that's good enough for me. For those of you who are still unsure, well you figure it out - or better yet pay your electritian to do so for you. It might be fun to survey the forum members and find out who has what setup (switched vs. unswitched neutrals) and see what the common ground (sic.) is for each type. Good discussion, I am glad there are folk out there who are passionate about life and dont have to resort to shameless name calling and the like, they are a dime a dozen on other forums.

I just bought a Kubota B7510 DT at local auction that I fell in love with except I really can't afford. I was there to bid on the front line older tractors but got there to late and stuck around to see what the other tractors would go for. To shorten, This new looking Kubota with 84 hrs came thru and My hand went up-(twice). I would sell the beauty for 7,900. if anyone interested and you are close to Tulsa,OK 918-621-4465. Not being that familiar with hydraulics, I have a B7200 with FEL. I noticed that the hydraulics are real slow. When I speed up the RPM's I get a faster action. Didn't get a manual with the tractor. It was a fence row fixer upper. Is there a hydraulic filter or other on this beast? Thanks !

What started me looking at this was the description of the new efficient HST pump on the Kioti CK 30 HST and the poor numbers on the PTO.
Maybe the new tractors just have larger altenators for the roll up window and the beer coolers?

This is an 80 meter four-square antenna (3.5MHz). All I need is to get the wires an inch or so beneath the surface, just to keep the horses from kickign them up. There is a school of thought that favors elevated radials. Not practical here.

Thanks for the tip on the sub-soiler - I'll look into that!

Frank I recall the small trucks back then. Our town had Brockways gassers. 200hp tops it was no wonder they could not keep the country roads open.

Its amazin what a big Walter or OsKosh can do with out straining.

I enjoy winter, not as much now cause I work year round. I've lost a lot of my play time in the snow. BUT snow is still for playing.

I believe it is. It is 8"X3/8" H beam reinforced on both sides with 6" channel. It weights almost as much as a dead whale...

Gonna make the up grade to 5X24 soon.

I have decided to make/get a
shackle extender to add to
the top link. Like a big bycicle
chain link. Or I can use a few
links of chain in series with the
top link.
This way the blade will float without
down pressure but I can lift the three
point when I need to back up.

Sound reasonable?

We used two of the gears that made the agitator go back and forth. This was used to construct the steering mechanics. Un like most automative steering that was made up of a steering gear box tie rods and other linkage we were basically able to use one set up which did the job of a steering gear box and the linkage all in one arrangement. We didn't need tie rods and all that linkage as all that was required was a short connector to each front wheel.<br>
We also used one of the pulleys that rotated the washer drum on one end of the speed reduction jack shaft.<br>

The kind they use to support coal mine ceilings to help prevent cave in ins.<br>
We lived about a block from the factory that was one of if not the largest supplier of these bolts to the mining industry. They would buy square stock and turn it down to make the bolts.<br>
We bought 2 pieces of 1" in stock from them and my uncle who was a machinist turned them down on the ends to make the axles.<br>

Probably 3/4" STEEL.<br>
We used pipe for several things. One thing we used it for was the combination motor mount clutch.<br>

Actually the type used to increase or decrease speed depending on which one is your goal.<br>
You might say this became our one speed no reverse transmission.<br>

Frame we used it for the chassis, under carriage or what ever you want to call it.<br>

About the only thing we had to buy that wasn't some part off of some old junked thing was the 4 new store bought wheels.<br>

50 years ago they all wanted us to take them for a ride on what just might have been the first go cart ever or at least the most unique one ever built.<br>

I wish I would have kept it.<br>
Today it would have been a unique one of a kind keepsake and a really great conversion piece.<br>

The only keep sake I have from it is the last motor that was on it. This motor is way older than I am. Dad used it to saw fire wood for the old coal stove back in the early 1940s.<br>

Hey, Wallace, since you are a dealer......

What is the response, if any, to the new $15 fee for
direct shipping of parts to the customer? It seems to
me that access to parts is the biggest issue working against Kioti. Many of us are pretty much forced to have
parts shipped to us.

Kioti has been unable or unwilling to do what is neccessary to install a dealer in my area.

Maybe if dealers expressed some objections to the new fee?

Murf, when I wa a volunteer foreman, we had a truck with a water tank on the back. It was geared so low you could spin the rear tires in 1st gear with a load of water in it. I forget what it was, been a few years. It was cool to drive but didn't have the highest top speed.

Mike, I like the thought you have of going with hydro. My 4310 is hydro which makes mowing really nice. I take that tractor right up and around trees, etc. But consider the ROPS when looking at clearance beneath trees. I have some that aren't all enough yet so I can only get so close before the ROPS would break off tree limbs.

But the CUT has the power to run the deck and keep the speed up. When I upgraded to the 4310 with 72" deck, it cut my mowing time in half despite the additional trees I had planted.

Case/New Holland is a Dutch company, mostly owned by Fiat?
Is Ford even a part owner anymore? Interesting.

The Case DX33 is a red NH TC33, for example, but aren't
the industrial Case machines (the old Fords?) an entirely
different breed, "mostly" made is the U.S.? Does someone
know?

I know the industrial Deeres (yellow) are an entirely different breed from the JD CUTs, but the new 4000 series CUTs are no longer mostly Yanmar and have US-made engines.

My BH 287 has dual rear wheels and if I am careful and mow often I can get a nice cut in the field, although it is rough in spots.

I use a Woods medium duty five-foot brush cutter, front mounted on an Antonio Carraro tractor. It makes a great landclearing unit because you don't have to drive over the brush before you cut it. The problem is keeping the mower at the right height. Although one end of the mower has the usual trailing wheel, the end mounted to the three point hitch is often digging in because of variations in the terrain. Has anybody seen or made a fully trailing heavy duty brush cutter that is three point mounted? In other words a unit that had caster type wheels all around (not a Swisher, etc.). <br>
