Thanks for the notes. The "toughest" workout my 2210 has had so far was in moving 75 yds of topsoil around the yard this summer. Other than that just snowblowing, tiller work, and dragging a trail with the BB.

I've been changing oil every 25 hours. That has been a summer - winter schedule for me. I know I can go longer but it just seemed like a good maintanence schedule for my use.

I guess I need to get comfortable with the dark oil. Glad to hear it's normal. Thanks!

Harvey; going from a 4 in. to a 5 in. will take you from 37,000 to 59,000 lbs. of push. that is a lot of pressure, be sure the frame of your splitter is ready for that much power. Best of luck. Frank.

My third winter on my provonost, works great! not one problem. Keep it greased and lube the chain often.
Pulling a blower on a gravel drive ? Does your gravel come up in the winter?(small rocks on the surface) could be trouble?
I have my best luck blowing it before anyone drives on it.

It seems to me that Case is part of CNH which is registered in the Netherlands and owned 83% by Fiat. The CUTs are made in Japan and assembled in GA.
I would by the best value and not worry about whether it is Korea or Japan.

Can anyone tell me why there is such a large difference in loss of PTO HP with hydrostatic drive? Is there a large difference in the hydrostatic pumps? For example~30HP tractors; Kubota L3130 8.1HP, L2800-6.5HP, B7800-8.0HP; JD 4210-6HP, 3120-7.5 HP; NH/IH -TC29DA-5.4HP, MF 1528 -6HP; Kioti CK30-8HP; CubCadet 6228 7HP. From the lowest to the highest is 2.7 HP.<br>

I have seen on this and other tractor forums where people have used a subsoiler to trench wire. They are only about $125.00 at a TSC for King Kutter brand. Some have hose clamped a PVC pipe to the back to feed the wire in.

I have a KK Subsoiler and they do go down about 12" - 14" set at full depth. Do a search and you should find the posts.

I AM LOOKING FOR INFO ON KIT AND P.N. FOR JOHN DEERE HYDRAULIC LINES AND HOSES FOR 3RD FUNCTION FOR BOOM MOUNTED HYRDAULIC PLOW ON JD 430 LOADER. The L3130 has a 3-pt lift lock? First I heard of it. A great idea! I almost bought one of those tractors....

Anyway, the 3130 is WAY more heavy duty in the 3-pt and
rear end area than the L2500, a "budget" L-series machine.

Got got it home just ahead of the snow, and just before dark. I had time to back it off the trailer and do a little cut around the parking area, Kewl!!! I'm pretty happy with the way it cuts. I hope it won't mind being used as a mini brush hog.

I haven't really played with it since - been trying to get a new computer together, but I just put it into service today. In fact, visiting this forum is my first productive pass with it. Maybe now I can get out there and play with the tractor.

By the way, I didn't haggle. We're were pleased with the way the engines sounded and the way it behaved. The trailer is very substantial and in good shape, too. I think the deal was fair.

When I was a kid I remember the "Blizzard 0f 1958". We were out of school for a week. No snowplows could get through. A neighbor had a bulldozer and came up the road and plowed us all out. I forget how much snow there was but it was substantial. I have never seen anything like that again.

Can anyone tell me if a 2305 would handle a Puma 64" 2 stage blower? It weighs 382lbs. Would I be stretching it's limits or would I be better off with a 2520 or 2320 to handle this type of applciation?<br>

Brian, My Kubota had similar wire(s)--both originated in the fuze box already fuzed with 10A fuzes. You should see a tag marked "max 8w" on the wire. I got some low wattage tractor lights for front and rear (separate circuits) and they work great on my ROPS. Ensure you install water/dust proof switches. Good luck. David

Thanks for the reponses! Dennis when you say "too big" ar eyou referring to physical size or weight or both. Weight was one reason why I may lean toward the B3030 Kubota as it weighs about 600lbs less than the DX29. However the Dx29 has a 2" shorter wheelbase. My soil is normally quite dry having good drainage. I live on top of a hill so wet, soft soil is not really an issue. I have had the theory that I should get the "smallest tractor" that would still spin a 64" rear snowblower. In my mind that would provide the best cut quality. However, like "Iowafun's" experience, I have heard of other owners who have great luck mowing with a larger style tractor.

Ask your dealer about problems with the hyd filter, they have had a few cases of faulty filters. Second the oil is made by several people, what your looking for if the pour rating.
