Thanks dfkrug, It is in nice shape. The tractor is 4wd, so you think it does have 4wd? I just don't remember seeing a hydraulic unit on the front. I'm going to see it this weekend again. Thanks again. I hope it's still there.

PS - I did let the loader settle by moving the joystick around. I always do this before parking the tractor in the garage in addition to dropping (not as fast as the first time) the 3 pt attached mower.

That was very interesting reading. My weapons of choice are:
sidearm- .45 auto, they don't get back up.
rifle- M1 Carbine, light, compact, very easy to handle and effective to 100yrds.
Garrand, heavy but very effective.
M14, heavy but more fire power than Garrand, very good.
Anything the gov has designed and used after that is junk. If you notice they always go back to the .45 auto. There never has been a sidearm made that is more suitable for combat or personal use. Those are my opinions and they don't have to be yours.

They are by the size of the tire. Every manufacturer has a different coding system for their part numbers.

Bill many years ago the hoe's didn't have rigid top links and that was a problem but they have since all come with a rigid top link which has eliminated the ability to do that. Are they as tight as a subrame? No but they have worked for years and depending on the amount of use have worked for many applications.

Ok, I'm not a mechanic, but what I've done in the past is measure the voltage across the battery terminals when not running. Then do it again with the engine running. The voltage should be higher when running. If not, then it could be the alternator. I'm not sure how to check those.

As a follow-up, I put PowerService in the pickup yesterday morning before my drive to work. Really cold day as the truck satin the parking lot (no sun, wind, single digits) and it fired up much better than it had been. By much better, I mean no surging, no groaning, less vibration and noise. It behaved. I'm sticking to powerservice the rest of the winter!

MackVision, I have a TZ24DA I purchased in June 2004 for $10.5K with 60"MMM. I now have about 130 hours and have been pleased with the tractor. <br>

I have found the tractor is not wanting for power but due to its light weight (1300lbs) you are limited on what you can do. I have a 48" box blade and cut in a driveway using the TZ24. I had to take smaller cuts due the the lack of tractor weight. I am sure after market weights would have helped.<br>

The tractor does an excellent job of mowing, which is my primary use. The HST is great and the tractor is easy for the wife to use. <br>
<br>
With a FEL you will need a box blade or some type of additional weight on the rear.<br>
<br>
I haven't used the rear PTO, I believe its rated at 19.5HP. This spring I will give it a workout as I have access to a 3ph mounted tiller.<br>

It would be fairly simple to have a small tank of treated fuel on an enclosed diesel genset in the yard near the house, then have an automated top-up system to keep that tank filled from the inside tanks. They also have the battery to start the genset inside, warm & charged.<br>

Several of my neighbours do it this way, once the genset has run for a few minutes and gets up to temperature, it keeps the onboard tank warm enough to run nearly anything.<br>

One even went so far as to make up a round port on the enclosure, and buy a rubber exhaust hose like the garages have to vent your exhaust outside. When he needs to start the genset he puts the hose from the tailpipe of his pickup into the genset's shroud, after a short time the motor & fuel are all warmed up, then he uses booster cables to start the genset. I assume it would be a PITA if the power went out at 3am, but to each their own.<br>

The only maintenance required is after it's been run, is to drain what's in the tank back into the indoor bulk tank, and refill the genset with treated diesel so it will start easliy next time.<br>

It looks like they are on parking lot somewhere. I don't think I would do that with my tractor but I sure would like to know where they got the snow blades they have on in place of the bucket on the FEL. Does anyone know a source for the blade or do I have to make my own.

The warranty doesn't cover that type of failure, I guess if you put it into another example, for instance if you backed your truck into a pole and bent the bumper its your baby.

If you are planting corn to be harvested by machine be sure your planters are the width that machine will need. You also need to be sure the width matches your tractor width.

Depending on your state, you may find your Dept of Agriculture has a sales paper or web site for such as low or no cost.

I could not find it, but Cole still makes a single row planter I think the unit is about a $1,000.

I think 2 row is as much weight as you will want. I use a light weight with no fertilizer on four row with heavier tractor. Also the wider width will slow you down in turning around. If area to be planted is short, you will spend more time turning around with four row rather than planting. All four rows I have seen have some kind of row marker that must be raised and lowered or if you forget torn off. Most two rows just run a simple marker that is fixed.

We purchased a home owner model of Bushhog brand z turn 52" with I think 20 hp Kohler last year for about $4500. It is faster for us that a 27 HP CUT with 72" RFM (both mowers same brand and same finsih cut).

The z turn saves me about 25% to 33% in cutting time on machine. It also saved trimming time.

The z turn is not as easy to use on slopes as other machines due to front wheels free turning. Stay off of wet grass on slopes.

Only problem is now my wife is using the z turn (even with one slide down a 3 foot drop off, go head first not sideways, again stay off of wet slopes with z turns) and I am back to the tractor.

My brother purchased the same brand in a larger deck and motor in their comerical mower. It does run faster but really will not cut faster in heavy wet grass.

An advantage to the homeowner version I found was the lower height. I clear limbs much easier then if on some of the commercial models. Might as well be on a tractor.

In looking, there is wide variance in deck strength and such. Look, look again. Someone else had a discusion at Tractor point on about this same topic a week or two ago, look back it it.

The TC33 is only a 2500 lb tractor. The Kubota 3130 is 20%
heavier and thousands less. And the Kioti CK30 is thousands
less than that. I don't understand why anyone buys Blue...
