I have not talked with all the oil manufactures so I can not state that Amsoil is the only true synthetic. I have talked with Royal Purple and know that theirs is synthesized from ethylene.
I have tested PetroCanada's hydrotreated base oils and I can say their resistance to break down is at last 100 F better than most oils.
I have not heard of treated mineral oils being called synthetics.

I have a MT1800 and need to replace the ignition switch with the key. Do you still yours and would it fit just a regular MT1800?

There is probably no one-size fits all solution. Using the forks for brush presents different requirements than material pallets. I use a grapple for brush and just need the forks for pallets and bulky loads. At one point I had a set of Rankin 3-point I-Match compatible forks but returned them because they weren't even close to I-Match compatible.

I was just checking the Shibaura web site, and found only lawn tractors there. What has happened to the bigger tractors? I love my old (1980), nearly worn-out 40-horsepower SE4040, but what happens when it breaks down? Can I get spare parts somewhere? <br>

I have a fairly large parking lot for my 400 unit senior complex in Brooklyn. We are looking at a Ventrac 4100 with a 60 blade and cab for snow removal. Of course this is an expensive investment and I would like to hear others experience with this tractor. <br>
We have had a Toro for a few years and it has been inadequate and unreliable.

When I was growing up my father had a AC D15 with the tricycle front. I always enjoying using that tractor. From what I remember we had few problems. I like the two speed hand lever.

A friend had a D17 which I like better because it was a little larger and had more horsepower. Both tractors were early '60's.

I believe one of the best tractors AC made was the WD45 from the mid '50's. I spent a lot of hours on one from raking hay to sickle bar mowing.

I have a New Holland CUT, but AC tractors have a special meaning, as they are the tractor I used growing up.

Dealers in the North Texas area are pretty good. That price seems a little high, more in line with the CK30.

Rwacho, I also have a TZ24DA with about 130 hrs. Occasionally, I will have a starting problem similar to yours. I can move the transmission into neutral and/or sometimes have to gently step on one of the foot pedels to get it to start. Also, there is a two second delay if you try to start and it fails to start. I think that sometimes this is my problem that I try to restart too quickly.

Where is the transmission safety switch located, I may need to check it?

No I have plenty of those and they are rather docile. They are a little darker on the back end and do not have bright red wings. These are larger about double the size. <br>

Actually up to this point I have not considered other tractor yet. I was looking for some recommendations. So I will check these tractors out. I assume all these models mentioned can support a front loader. <br>

In going over what you first asked, I have a question. Your two hot wires are 220 voltage across them, correct? If you used a side by side double breaker they should be 220. If you used a piggy back or two single breakers that are not side by side you may have both hot wires on the same leg of your main breaker box. If you do you only have 110 voltage and you are placing a double load on your single neutral. THAT WOULD BE DANGEROUS AND ONE DAY WILL FAIL.
