As a BX owner, I can agree with the others that a BX is no good in the rough. If I had it to do over, I would have consideed the B series more than I did.

Now that I'm moving to my larger piece of land, the shortcommings of the "lawn biased" BX are becomming more apparent. There is PLENTY of power there, just not enough weight and ground clearance for "off-Lawn" advventures.

If you can afford it, go large.

I bought my JD 4210 off ebay, very pleased with the transaction, except shipping killed me, but I got what I wanted. Watch for the scams, if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Ask the seller questions, call or email, ask for more pics, maintenance history, condition, etc. A serious seller will answer any and all questions. I hope your transaction goes as well as mine did.

The schematics are labeled according to industry standards. Which goes main color stripe color and wire size. There should be a key that tells you what each symbol or abbreviation means. The schismatics that used blu- for blue and so forth are dumbed down for the average person. The ones in the ops manuals are taken right from the service books. Not all ground are green most are black.

This same thing happened to me, I also have a 4200 HST.
It would not start right up when hot but would ALWAYS start cold. It ended up being the thermistor located behind the fuse block. (about $4.50 for the part, $10.00 shipping and about 1/2 hour of EASY work for a change.

Hey there cdover, thank you for a speedy response but I have just today contacted Anna at Southern Global Tractor and could not believe the price for a new water pump, I suppose I have to have them rebuild it for me, sorry to hear about your tractor problems hope the welding holds your crank and flywheel together. Would you Email me with your other contacts, unfortunatly I just now ordered a parts manual from SGT and I hope it will be readable. Good luck on your Tractor.

If the vacum is sucking the baggie 150' the tube is already open. I'd try Ceran wrap and a very light thread and then pull a heavier twine thru. Maybe a bigger shop vac. Maybe a smaller ball of ceran wrap.

Shortmag; I think in total with software and computer it was near 100X, but that was for fast accusition and predated the 8088 let alone the 286. I think the unit we had which was built out of boards with cassette programming and no display was 2X times this, although it was retired when we built the Apple. Sounds like old history now.

I think some of the Mahindra tractors are good. My Cub-Cadet, which I like, is basically the same as one of the Mahindra models. I feel the Mahindra line is good in the smaller popular sizes where parts, etc., will be available in the US because of sales levels. In the model size you are talking about I would think that sales are few and far between. Parts and resale will be a problem. My local JD dealer attempted to sell the small to mid size CUT's for those customers interested in saving a few bucks. They even had some parts availablilty issues with popular models and are dropping the line. I'd go with the Deere without hesitation!

The MF 210 is listed on the Buhler specs for Allied Loaders. There is a tractordata sight that might help.

The B-7500 is 21 horsepower same as the 7510. Basically the same as the 7510 including the twin hydraulic pumps, and most all capacities.

As Greg mentioned, do you want the check chains as a cure for a leak-down problem, or just as a 'fool proof' way to set the minimum cut height for the mower deck?

If it is as a set height control, why not just use the little stopper on the 3pth lever, that's what it's for?

Not sure if this will help anyone, but my 4210 (bought used about 2 mths ago) has a Travellers 22NF battery (390CCA I believe). It has the holddown lugs on the bottom, and has apparently worked well for some time now.
