It's definitely water cooled, and definitly available as 27hp. Other than that, Never checked to see if they manufacturer themselves or are buying them from someone. You never know any more. You might check out their website, it's pretty informative.

I don't think there is anything you can do except add one. Without the trap you will get gasses into the house.
I had one bath that we did not use all the time and the trap would dry out. Not pleasant.

The tractor just had it's 50-hour service a few months ago and sits in the garage on a concrete floor when not in use. I'm sure that I'd notice any small leak, especially if it was about 2 quarts. I'll check the fluid level just to make sure though.

You're absolutely right about the wiring diagram in the manual and probably nailed the reason for it - take it back to the NH dealer for service! I guess I've been spoiled by the dealer who encourages the owner to do small repairs or upgrades to save a few bucks but is always there to answer questions, if necessary.

Like you, I wouldn't trade "Little Blue" for anything else. The tractor and dealer have been super!

The only thing worse than a bad dealer who goes out of business is a bad dealer who stays in business. Bad dealers of any brand deserve to go belly up.

Anyone here ever replace a worn out clutch on a 70 series JD? Went to use my tractor yesterday and found out I could not shift with engine running. I did try to adjust linkage but could not get any neutral action except in neutral. I thought if the clutch were worn then I would not be engaged, as it is I can't disengage drive with clutch depressed. I can disengage PTO on second clutching action. Am I missing something? If anyone could shed some light on what might be happening please post. I will start going through my repair manuals. Only 550hrs but I bought it off a rental Co. that I think used a Highway sweeper on it. Thanks

Additionally in a small area you will do a lot of backing up and moving forward small distances. I would recommend a hydrostatic drive, whether it be a large garden tractor or sub compact tractor. I don't know of a chinese tractor with hydro drive.
Massey (AGCO) has a small diesel tractor as does, Kubota, Deere, New Holland, Kioti (a little larger Korean), Honda (used), Club Cadet, Simplicity etc. Most of these rigs are less than 10K with out the loader and about 14K or less with the loader. Some will operate with the blower. From the pricing I have seen with the Chinese crate tractors I doubt you will have much change from 14K and they will be less use for the lawn.

My BX1500 is coming up on 200 hours so I am getting ready to buy all the necessary stuff. I don't have my operator's manual handy but if I recall correctly the oil, oil filter, transmission, trans filter, (2) fuel filters and an air filter need to be replaced.<br>

Should I also drain and replace the front axle fluid? What about the engine coolant?<br>

Of course I plan to run through all the recommended checkpoints lubrication points on both the tractor and the mower deck too. The mower deck is also ready to be winterized. It will get a set of replacement blades, new gearbox fluid, and a good cleaning.<br>

Is there any problem storing the deck vertically? I'd like to hang it on the wall to take up less space.<br>

It's pretty straight forward. The only tricks are using a straight edge and gap tool to measure the distance. Also press on the forward pedal to push the bearing out so you can insert the shims. This pushed the bearing partially out but I still needed the heavy bent paper clip to get it out all of the way.

Noise occurs with 4wd drive disengaged and while driving in a straight line and turning. Problem seems to be occurring more frequently. Purchased the tractor new 32 months ago and only has 230 hours on it.

Started to change Trans Oil in the 7800 today, Asked dealer to give me oil and filter what ever I needed, After finding 4 drain plugs and draining the oil, I noticed 2 filters, He only gave me one, So I have to wait till tomorow to get another filter, What I don't understand is why are there 2 filters and one is 1" longer than the other one, Anyone got a clue.

Ken, Nissan says they will have the parts on the shelf for 5 years. The life span of a model. After that you may need to order to Japan.
One of the reason I have stuck with Volvos is the availability of parts. Average life span of a Volvo was 18 years in NA and longer in Europe so almost anything was available at a price. Now they are front wheel drive and owned by Ford I am not so keen.

Well I messed up again, ran over a low stump and broke the belt. This was at the 540 setting befire I decided to go with the 960. Anyhow I finally got a new belt and I guess I'm just getting too old [80] but but I can't figure out how to put he belt on. There's 3 blade pulleys, 3 idler pulleys ,one with the spring, and the main drive pulley.Anybody got any ideas where to find diagram.The mower is a John Deere 260 rear-mount grooming mower. Sure appreciate any help. Ted Cary
