The same dealer has a 4200 with 430 FEL. I made a suggestion about buying the loader off that tractor and the dealer said the labor to remove that loader would be pricey. Heck, it is 4 bolts on each side, plus the grill guard. I may make an offer of $2k for the used 430 anyway. It is in great shape. I saw a 4000 series tractor on ebay with a 300cx loader, and it looked good. More modern. I hope the dealer will sell the 4300 for $13k. I feel that is 15% off list price (listed at $15000).

TRUCTOR T-4000 can be currently seen in Columbus, Indiana by appt (772) 215-3131, and hopefully at a dealer near you in mid/late 2006.
Hitch & Implement view from cab is quite good with tailgate removed. Base model comes with Hitch Position Indicator. We also offer optional Rear-View Remote TV Screen which shows Hitch and Implement and rear ground view as you go.
Yes, we plan to build a smaller, lighter version for estates and suburbanites, but this size is what most of the commercial and ag market niches need now.

Peters, we watched a contractor using the ICF system to build a place just down the beach from us in the Bahamas.

Container after container arrived, as you described it, importing Canadian air, trapped in foam.

The poor fellow was told by the Government officials that our house was also a 'formed concrete' house, when he came to see he asked how many containers our place took to build. When I told him "one" I thought was going to fall over.

When I further told him that that one container also held all the appliances, plumbing fixtures and windows, he was in disbelief, I had to drag out the pictures to show him.

But that is the difference between a product that "nests" compared to shipping air.

I know the people in Cobourg, they are good folks, but you are right, innovation is not their strong suit.

i recently purchased a ck25 gear drive with loader, bush hog, and mid mount mower. on the mmm the shaft that goes from the mid mount pto to the gearbox on the deck rubs on the left side brake line when mowing with the deck up. has anyone else run into this? if anyone has input i would appreciate it before i contact the dealer. i'm new at this tractor stuff and need all the info i can get.

I am trying to decide which will suit me best. I will be using the tractor for snowblowing,lawn mowing and occcasional brush cutting only. The snowblower will be a 5 ft 3 pt hitch with a hyraulic chute. My dealer quoted me about a $900. difference between the two. Considering my applications, will the larger engine make enough of a difference to justify the extra cost? It's not about the $$$, I just don't want to pay for something that I don't need. On the other hand, the extra $$$ is nothing if I am sorry I didn't opt for the larger HP. I am ready to make the purchase within the week. Any real life experience with either of these tractors would be greatly appreciated.<br>

PS - I have been a diehard Deere fan. In my opinion, their products keep getting more expensive while quality keeps going downhill. <br>

I agree about the $$$. I looked into a Kioti CK20 HST in the summer. The dealer quoted me $11,300 for the tractor and $2,550 for a FEL. This was a quote over the internet. I am sure I could easily get 10% off that. I was impressed by them, but I still have not made my decision.

Can you please tell me what a 1997 model Kubota L2350 4wd with a LB 400 FEL is worth. The tractor has 760 hours on it and is in very good shape.

The best I can tell, the reason the price is so high is summer fuel is out of production. That and whoever the supplier is will have to blend, store and ship as needed. 15,000 gallons of gas is about like you filling up your lawn mower, to them.

Enough of that though. The reason of my post was just to relate that there is a difference between summer and winter gas. Something I didn't know.

By the way, summer blend went for $4.05 per gallon last year.

I have read and reread many of the comments in the line of thought. Sure made me think of conversations of young bulls as to which brand of pickup was the best and how you were able to sup of this brand compared to that one. I learned something from both. If you don't like it, it will give you terrible service.

Well it is that time again and I need to perform the 200 hour service on my 4410. I knew that oil prices in general had probably gone up a good bit since the 50 hour break-in service but for Pete Sakes!!!!! $49 for a 5 gallon pale of Hy-Gard Low Viscosity????? My ankles have black and blue marks on them from those prices. Last time I used Hy-Gard standard viscosity and I paid about $6 a gallon. Hy-Gard is manufactured for John Deere by Chevron so I don't think there is anything magic about Hy-Gard. <br>

I looked at some Pennzoil Hydra-Tranz oil in the 5 gallon pale for $25.95 which meets John Deere's J20D spec. but with shipping coming to $39 it was not a very good deal. <br>

I remembered that we still have some logging operations going on over on one of our tracts of land so I called the logging operation owner and he sold me 2 5 gallon pales of Shell Donax TD for $60 which is what he told me he paid for it. <br>

Iowa, the CBR600 is a really quick bike (as I'm sure you know). I've been able to spend quite a few hours on my BIL's F4i and RR. It's the first (and only) time I've seen 150+ mph. Take care.

With the items listed on the "to do" and if you are going into business, I'd suggest both a skid steer and a CUT. A skid steer is more rugged for some of the jobs and has the lift capacity on a loader. The CUT is more agile for finish and smaller work. To start with I'd find some used equipment. I'd put the backhoe on the CUT and purchase a tractor with loader that is quick attach and compatible with the skid steer so you can use some of the same stuff.<br>

I streched out boom and dipper, also the stabilizers so everything was flat on the floor. Recheck every thing to make sure you do not have some stored energy somewhere in the system. Work "ALL" of the valves with tractor "NOT" running then un hook hoses from tractor.

Just used a small drain pan and speedy dry. Unhooking all the control linkages as I recall was the most difficult part. Can't remember why just seems like it was the headache. Maybe because of the sheet metal in the way.

Once you get the big plate off the back you have complete access.

Last weekend I made some attachments for my front end loader. I will post some pictures that my aid others looking to do the same. <br>

First my dad and I made fork attachments by welding gussets to the sides of the bucket for a solid rod to go through. We then welded heavy pipe to back of the forks which will side on the rod. The bottom of the forks rest against the leading edge of bucket. The forks can slide anywhere between the width of the bucket. I was impressed with what a B7800 kubota would lift with the forks, I would estimate around 750 lbs. <br>

You should always change a dented filter and never install a filter that is dented. Once the filter is dented, a concentration of stress in the metal is created, making the metal more susceptible to fatigue. The pressure pulses in the oiling system put stress on the metal canister. Filters are made from low carbon steel to with stand the stress created by the pulsing of the oiling system. In other words, When you bend metal back and forth, it work hardens the metal and eventually it breaks. The softer the metal, the longer it takes to break. Low carbon steel is soft and will take more bending before it breaks. The pressure pulses in the oiling system expand and contract the filter ever so slightly. When you have a dent in a filter, the metal in the dent is strechted which makes the metal thinner and harder in the dented area, which can make this area of the filter fail.

The blade mounted that far front often pushes the front of the tractor off the snow. The loader mounted blades do have a bit of disadvantage.
